Your Next Stamp December Sneak Peek – Day 1

Hi, and happy Sunday to all of you! I’m pleased to be part of today’s Sneak Peeks at Your Next Stamp! Over the next three days, we’ll be showcasing the new stamp and die sets that are being released this week!

On Wednesday, the whole YNS DT will get together for a blog hop to celebrate this month’s mini release!

My project features a fun set of stamps from the release, “Smiley Happy Critters Set 1.” I made tags with these, but they’d also be great on lunchbox notes, bookmarks, or a card to bring a smile to your special somebody!

The set contains four critter images and three sentiments, “WOW!”, “SMILES for You,” and “Thank you so much!” (I masked the word “Thank” and substituted a heart-shaped brad instead).
The banners are part of the new “Whatnots One” die set, which has lots of fun dies that you’ll use throughout the year!
You can see all of today’s Sneak Peeks at the Your Next Stamp blog!
There will be more previews tomorrow at the YNS blog, and I’ll be back on Wednesday for our Mini-Release Hop! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Your Next Stamp: Recipe Challenge!

Hi, crafty friends! This week’s Your Next Stamp challenge is inspired by a recipe: kraft card stock, ric rac and glitter!

Christmas Card Challenges Week 52 – Paper Piecing

Happy Sunday, crafty friends! I’m here today to share our last challenge for this term of Christmas Card Challenges. This week’s inspiration is paper piecing! (I paper pieced the bow on the candy cane.)

The image is “Merry Mouse Candy Cane” by Your Next Stamp! It’s colored with Copics, and I added a bit of Liquid Applique to make the pom pom on his hat!

Other supplies: twine (Whisker Graphics), button, patterned paper (My Mind’s Eye “Winter Wonderland“), sentiment stamp (aMuse Studio), card stock (Stampin’ Up).

Although all of our challenges are optional…the only “real” rule is that you must create a new Christmas, Holiday or Hannukah card, then link it up on the CCC blog so we can stop by and leave you some lovely comments!

We also don’t require that you use Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps on your cards, but if you have them, we’d love to see you ink them up when you play along!

Don’t forget to visit the rest of the CCC team to take a peek at the beautiful cards they’ve created this week: AlannaBrigitteCandaceCorinneDeeKatieLeesaMargoMichelePat, and Stephanie! Our guest designer this month, Jamie, also has something fun to show you!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I’ll be back on Thursday for a new Your Next Stamp challenge! Don’t forget to link your entry on the Christmas Card Challenges blog! See you there!

Your Next Stamp #25 – Sketch Challenge!

Happy Thursday and Happy Thanksgiving, crafty friends!
Hope you are having a wonderful holiday with your family and friends! It’s a pretty low-key holiday here at the Bier house…just the two of us! Our families live far from us, so we don’t usually travel for Thanksgiving.
Our challenge this week at Your Next Stamp is inspired by a sketch, which I’ve included below the photo of my card. I turned the sketch to the side to create my card. It features “Finnegan,” a newly released YNS stamp set!
My main image is mounted on a wobble spring, so he moves back and forth. I had to do a little trimming on the spring base to hide it behind the image. I also cut a piece of matching background paper to cover the spring’s bottom.
and here’s our fabulous sketch for your inspiration!

YNS #24 — Anything Goes!

Happy Thursday! I’m back with a new Your Next Stamp challenge!

Since this week’s theme is “Anything Goes,” I decided to make these super-cute place cards with “Fhiona’s Squirrel Friend” and some letter stickers from my stash.

They are pretty easy to make, and are roughly about 3″ high by 4″ long.

It really doesn’t matter what size you make them, as long as the names are big enough to read! Making the place cards also helped me to use up some cute scraps of fall-themed paper!

Other supplies: Copic markers, letter stickers (Basic Grey), stickles glitter glue, glossy accents, jumbo ric rac, brown multiliner pen, paper (Little Yellow Bicycle).
