Am I Odd Enough?

I’m pinching my nose, closing my eyes, and diving in to apply to the Guest Designer call at Some Odd Girl!

Hmmm….why would I be a great Guest Designer? Not only am I super cool and slightly quirky, I love to share all the fun cards I make with Some Odd Girl stamps and digis! I discovered Some Odd Girl’s digis a while ago (in the olden days before the clear stamp releases) and fell in love!

As for my design style, it’s best described as one part “fun and cute”…with a pinch of “less is more” and a sprinkling of  “clean and simple”! Not really an easy thing to figure out, by the way!

I believe that the two stars of any of my cards are the image and the paper (which is probably why I sometimes have trouble adding details and embellishments!), but the most important thing for me when I’m creating is making sure that each card will make you smile!

So, I’d like to present you with (TA DA!) my three favorite projects featuring Some Odd Girl images (I could have picked many more)! I’ve included a link under each photo to the original blog post, where there is one:

My first fave is the card I made for my niece Caroline’s 5th birthday, featuring Tiny Baker Tia:
I love the bright colors in the paper and in the main image! So much fun and perfectly sweet!

My second fave project wasn’t published on my blog, but was published in the June/July issue of Designed to Color magazine!
I love this card for its crafty homespun appeal, and the stamping on twill tape…I’m also pretty fond of the nose shading I did on the main image! 😉 The images and sentiment are from the “In Stitches Tia” clear stamp set:
My third fave card features “Foxy”…a cute clean & simple card (I drew and fussy cut his bow tie). I am totally in love with all the SOG critters!

So there you have it…three of my favorite creations with Some Odd Girl stamps
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope my creations made you smile!
