Happy Sunday, crafty friends! Hope you had a wonderfully creative World Card Making Day yesterday! I spent the day crafting with one of my best friends…a perfect way to spend the day!
And, now, I present you with a new Christmas Card Challenge! This week, we’re inspired by a very non-traditional holiday color palette: yellow, orange, blue, and ivory:
Yes, I was totally stumped for this card!!!
But, I kept my card design simple, and am happy with how it came out:
I die-cut the main panel, and layered it with foam tape over some ivory card stock. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment strip, and then mounted the panel over some dark blue cardstock.
To work in the yellow, I colored a clear rhinestone with a Copic marker and adhered it to the center of the snowflake on the ivory layer.
Although all of our challenges are optional…the only “real” rule is that you must create a new Christmas, Holiday or Hannukah card, then link it up on the CCC blog so we can stop by and leave you some lovely comments!
We also don’t require that you use Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps on your cards, but if you have them, we’d love to see you ink them up when you play along!
Don’t forget to visit the rest of the CCC team to take a peek at the beautiful cards they’ve created this week: Alanna, Brigitte, Candace, Corinne, Dee, Katie, Leesa, Margo, Michele, Pat, and Stephanie…and our October guest designer, Deonna!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a fabulous week and don’t forget to link your entry on the Christmas Card Challenges blog! See you there!
This is awesome…I love the use of non-traditional colors for Christmas cards!
Thanks! I took a page from your CAS designs as inspiration! 🙂
You're totally right Suzanne – same idea with my card! 🙂 🙂 🙂 Miss you, girl….
