This week’s colourQ challenge is inspired by a fun and festive Anthropologie halter top!
For my card, I had to substitute for the blue, saffron, and poppy. I don’t yet have all of my new Stampin’ Up cardstock in the new colors, and I’m running low on some colors that are very popular in color challenges like this one!
The popcorn stamp I used is by Viva Las Vegas Stamps. I colored it with a glaze gel pen and a colored pencil after stamping the images in Basic Black.
I made the film strip by punching a strip of Basic Black cardstock with a Fiskars “ribbon weaving” border punch, cut the strip in half, and glued it to the underside of a strip of Basic Black. I rounded the corners of each white square to make it look like a film cel. The card base, black cardstock and white cardstock are all by Stampin’ Up! I embossed the card base with the Big Shot.
The ticket is made from Bo Bunny Double Dot paper, and the sentiment is stamped on another color of Double Dot. The letter stamps I used are by Lawn Fawn, and they are stamped in Basic Black SU ink.
I made the “popcorn” by folding down several petals on tiny paper flowers.
Thanks for “popping” by to look at my card! Be sure and visit the colourQ to see the design team’s beautiful creations and all of the fantastic entries submitted this week!
