Stampin’ Celebration #13

You can tell that summer’s in full swing by the inspiration photos for this week’s Stampin’ Celebration challenge!
For my card, I was inspired by the colors and the surfboards in the photos, and here’s the card I made!
I stamped the large flowers in Only Orange, Brilliant Blue and watermark ink and colored in the centers with a Starburst gel pen. I cut the flowers out and arranged them on the surfboard to create the design. The flowers are from Stampin’ Up’s “Eastern Blooms” set.
I cut waves into the Bermuda Bay cardstock and accented them with Frosted Lace Stickles. The card base is Stampin’ Up Brilliant Blue cardstock.
To create the sand, I used Antique Linen Distress Stickles on Core’dinations cardstock. The chipboard letters are from American Crafts; I used white chalk ink and Frosted Lace Stickles to alter them. The Bermuda Bay stripe down the center of the surfboard is accented with Turquoise Stickles.
Thanks very much for taking a look at my card! Visit Stampin’ Celebration to see the design team’s fantastic creations and to submit your own!
