Happy Friday, everybody! I’m stopping by today with my card for the new Farm Fresh Friday challenge at The Greeting Farm!
The DT has been having a WONDERful time this month sharing our creations with the Limited Edition Alice in Wonderland Beans!
This week’s challenge is to recycle or alter something. I added glitter to the brad on “Alice Bean”‘s bow, but that’s not all. The flower that is on my card is made from…coffee filters!
We received a Keurig coffee maker for Christmas, and have almost a full package of the classic paper coffee filters. I wanted to experiment with them and see if I could make a flower for my card…and I love the result! I hope you do, too!

Supplies: image stamp (“Alice Bean” – The Greeting Farm), sentiment (“Delicate Words” die – The Greeting Farm), patterned papers (“Halloween in Wonderland” – Graphic 45, letter print – Prima), sewing machine, black ink, coffee filters, assorted Copic markers, blending solution, twine (“Midnight” Trendy Twine – Annie’s Paper Boutique), foam tape. |
If you’re interested in a tutorial for making these, let me know in the “comments” section. If I get enough positive feedback, I’ll work something up!
My technique involves a rolled flower die, several paper coffee filters, Copic markers and blending solution.
The papers on my card are from a retired Graphic 45 collection, “Halloween in Wonderland.” I’ve saved the papers for quite some time, never thinking that I would make an Alice in Wonderland-themed card…but I wanted to squeeze in one this month using the papers!
