I had fun creating the card I’m entering in this week’s Curtain Call Challenge at Stacey’s Stampin’ Stage! The colors in this week’s challenge aren’t a combo I’ve ever used or would have thought to use and I’m happy with the result!
The sketch I used for this card comes from this week’s Get Sketchy challenge, so I’ve worked two challenges into one card, which is something I don’t do very often!
Here are the inspiration photo and colors:
and this week’s Get Sketchy sketch:
Those two elements combined to make this card!
I stamped a flower from Stampin’ Up’s “One of a Kind” set on Peach Parfait cardstock with Rich Razzleberry ink for the background. Then I embossed some Wild Wasabi cardstock and border punched a strip of Poppy Parade cardstock.
I also stamped the flower a few times on Rich Razzleberry cardstock, layered them and added a pearl brad to the center. The sentiment is from SU’s “A Word for You” set. To finish the card, I added sparkly details to the flower and six brass brads. The card base is made with Very Vanilla cardstock, as is the area where the sentiment is stamped.
Thanks for stopping by to look at my card! Visit Stacey’s Stampin’ Stage and Get Sketchy to see what the design teams have created and to check out the other entries for this week’s challenges!
