colourQ #51

I spent lots of time last night arranging the pieces on my card for this week’s colourQ challenge (#51). I had a lot of fun with these colors; it was just hard to figure out how I’d make them all work on my card!

Here’s my finished product!
I started with a white cardstock base and embossed some Poppy Parade cardstock for the main background. Then I stamped a leaf pattern in Old Olive on a strip of Old Olive cardstock. After the initial impression, I stamped again on a different part of the paper to create the shadow effect.
Next, two eyelets were added to the strip of Old Olive to tie some twine through.
I punched three circles of Peach Parfait with the smallest i-Top punch to create the sunbursts, and added a punched circle of So Saffron to the center. I stamped teacups on each of the circles and colored in some tea with a copper gel pen.
To complete the card, I stamped the sentiment with Old Olive ink and matted it on scraps of matching cardstock and patterned paper.
The sentiment and teacup stamps are by Elzybells Art Stamps. The embossing folder is by Sizzix.
Thanks so much for stopping by to look at my card!
