Color Throwdown #106

This week’s group of colors at the Color Throwdown are mostly soft, and would make a great baby or beach card, but I went in a different direction…I chose to make a wedding card.

Here are the challenge colors:

For my card, I used a wedding cake stamp by AMuse Art Stamps and a sentiment stamp by Stampin’ Up! Both the image and sentiment were stamped in SU Chocolate Chip ink.

The card base is kraft cardstock. I embossed a strip of light blue cardstock and punched a hole for the image.
Instead of popping up the cake, I added foam squares to the underside of the cardstock to give the image a recessed effect.
I cut a border strip from some Pink Paislee paper, matted the sentiment on a scrap of Bazzill Swiss Dot cardstock, and added a gem brad to the center of two paper flowers. To finish the card, I added sparkly detail to the cake with a stardust gel pen.
Thanks for looking at my card!
