If not for this week’s Color Throwdown challenge, I never would have thought to combine these colors to make a card…but that’s what a challenge is all about, right?
For my card, I stamped everything in Soft Suede ink using an image and sentiment from Lawn Fawn’s “How Delightful” collection.
I debossed some Soft Suede cardstock for the base (which is really just flipping the embossed part around so that the pattern goes in instead of popping up), cut a strip of Elegant Eggplant cardstock and border punched two strips of white cardstock.
Then I pleated the white border strips to make them look like lacy ribbon. I used Always Artichoke to mat the stamped image and sentiment, and glued tiny rhinestones to the chandelier to lighten up the card. Finally, I added some sparkly detail with a glitter gel pen.
Thanks very much for looking at my card! To see the design team’s delightful examples and the other lovely entries, please visit The Color Throwdown!
OMGosh, LOVE the sentiment with the chandelier! Too cute! Love the pleated punched border, too! Thanks for joining us for the Color Throwdown!
I love the sparkle accents you added to the focal image! Really cute sentiment for that stamp! Cuteness!
Very cute….your “gathered” border is just awesome and that image is so fun!
