Christmas Card Challenges – Week #8

Happy Sunday! It’s time for a new Christmas Card Challenge, and this week, we’re inspiring you with a sketch!

Here’s my card, featuring Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps’ “Rin and Snowman“:

And here’s the sketch that inspired my card! Instead of one single accent on the right side, I chose a more noticeable sentiment on the left, and added rhinestones to the right.

I designed this week’s sketch…I hope you enjoy creating with it!

Remember, all of our challenges are optional…the only “real” rule is that you must create a new Christmas, Holiday or Hannukah card, then link it up on our blog so we can stop by and say hi!

It’s not necessary that you use a Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamp on your card, but we sure love it when you do!

Don’t forget to visit the rest of the CCC team to take a peek at the fun and festive cards they’ve created this week: AlannaCorinneJennifer, JovitaKarenKatieLeesaLorie,MargoMichelePatStephanie…and our guest designer Rachel!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful week, and don’t forget to link your entry on the Christmas Card Challenges blog! See you there!

TGF Farm Fresh Friday: Punch It!

Happy Friday, friends of the farm! It’s time for a new Farm Fresh challenge at The Greeting Farm! This week, we’d like you to break out some of your favorite punches or dies and share your TGF creation with us!

I chose to feature “Awareness Anya” again this week! For this challenge, I’m pairing her with a classic heart die and a sentiment from TGF’s “Lovey Dovey” set. This combo would work for a Valentine’s card, a general love card, or to send some words of encouragement to someone battling heart disease.

* * *

If you’re ready to play along with us, here are the details on our challenge:
  • You must use a TGF stamp (rubber, digi, or clear) as your main image.
  • Entries must be uploaded to the TGF blog using the InLinkz tool no later than Thursday, January 24th at NOON CST. You can add a direct link to your entry from your personal blog, SCS gallery, Flickr or TGF galleria. If the InLinkz is not working, please leave your link in the comments section.
  • The fabulous prize: A random participant will be selected to win their choice of an in-stock SINGLE RUBBER STAMP OR a 4×6 set! Our prize offering has increased for 2013–we hope you enjoy it!

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by! Visit the Greeting Farm’s blog to check out what the rest of the Showcase Team are sharing with you today!

Hugs,

TGF Double Take Tuesday!

Hello, crafty friends of the farm! It’s time for a new Double-Take Tuesday challenge at The Greeting Farm! Today, we’re inspiring you with a color challenge!
I was inspired by our color combo of blue and yellow to create this sweet card with the lovely “Awareness Anya“! Her ribbon can be used for so many occasions & causes, so I decided to go with a “Support Our Troops” theme!
My husband, Scott, recently departed the U.S. Army after 16 years of service, so my card this week is a shout out to him!
He’s still making the transition to civilian life, and it’s been a fun (and interesting) process. I convinced him to switch out his combat boots for other shoes. Even though they are boots of a different style and color, it’s a step in the right direction! I am so proud of him and for his many years of service!

I typed the sentiment in Word, printed it and used my Copics to color the sentiment strip to match the other papers.

For all the details on this challenge, check out the post at the TGF blog…and please take the time to check out what my fellow Showcase Team members have created for this challenge (here’s a hint: they’re all fabulous!): Anita, Annie Rose, Jo, Jodi, Joni, Rachel and Rosemary!
Wait, there’s more! When we have 20 or more players each week, the prize doubles to either two digis, or the winner can trade those two digis for a single rubber stamp of their choice! So, what are you waiting for? Get crafty!
We all can’t wait to see what you’ll create for this challenge! Thanks so very much for stopping by!

YNS Fun Friday: You’ll LOVE this month’s theme!

Hi, crafty friends! It’s my turn to post a card for Your Next Stamp’s Fun Friday! This month, our theme is “LOVE”!

I picked “Brooke from the USA” for my card this week (the sentiment is from YNS’s “You Make My Heart Soar” set):

I cut the felt hearts using YNS’s “Whatnots Seasons Set One” dies. I love the versatility of this set!
Don’t forget about our “Tasty Tuesday” Challenges, which started this week and feature tasty food photos that are sure to deliciously inspire your next stamping project!

Farm Fresh Friday: Thank You!

Hi crafty friends! There’s a new “Farm Fresh Friday” challenge up today at The Greeting Farm blog, and I’ve got a new card to share with you!

Since today is International Thank You Day, we’re celebrating with cards that say, well, “thank you”!

My card for this week features my new favorite Wild Sprout, “Gracie.”

I chose the sentiment from TGF’s “Lucky Bunnies” clear stamp set. I think it’s a great all-around sentiment for someone who’s dear to you or to say thank you to someone who’s gone the extra mile to do something special for you!

To further customize the card, you could stamp “thank you” on the inside when you write your personal message!

Are you ready to play along with us?

Here are the details:

  • You must use a TGF stamp (rubber, digi, or clear) as your main image.
  • Entries must be uploaded via InLinkz on the TGF blog no later than Thursday, January 17 at NOON CST. You can add a direct link to your entry from your personal blog, SCS gallery, Flickr or TGF galleria. (If the InLinkz tool is missing, feel free to link your submission URL in a comment.)
  • The fabulous prize: A random participant will be selected to win their choice of an in-stock SINGLE RUBBER STAMP OR a 4×6 set!

Whimsy and Stars Studio: New Release Hop!

Happy Saturday! I hope you’re enjoying all the positively adorable creations in Whimsy and Stars Studio’s New Release Blog Hop!

You probably arrived here from Melissa’s blog, and now you’re visiting me (Suzanne)!

This month, Mabelle is releasing two new digis in the Whimsy and Stars Studio etsy store: “Wintertime Boy” and “Lucy’s Cupcake”:

I chose “Wintertime Boy” for my card! I matched his scarf to the designer paper that I picked out and stitched some fringe on the bottom of the scarf. I think he’s quite a dapper fellow, don’t you?

Don’t forget to leave a comment for each blog you visit on today’s hop, because Mabelle will choose two random winners from all of the blog comments through the hop, who will each receive a digi stamp of their choice! This hop will run until Tuesday, January 8th at midnight Eastern Time, so make sure to get your commenting done by then!

And, I recommend stopping by the Whimsy and Stars Studio etsy store to check out all of the positively adorable love and Valentine’s Day-themed digis! You’re sure to find one (or LOTS) that you’ll fall in love with!!!

Your next stop on the hop is Tracy’s fabulous blog! Thanks so much for stopping by! If you want to start at the beginning, just visit the Whimsy and Stars Studio blog for the full list of participants!
