Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger: Memento Mori

For this week’s Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger, I used the shape of the tombstone in the trigger photo to inspire me when I made my card:

I turned that shape into a window on my card, and the gravestone image reminded me of ornate designs that are sometimes carved into tombstones and are often found in the woodwork inside old churches.
The knight and princess stamp is one of the first that I bought when I started stamping; it’s from Elzybells Art Stamps. The knight reminds me of my husband, who actually has his own suit of armor! I wrote about it in this earlier post. Scott is usually the first person to see my cards, and is the inspiration for many of them!
I used paper from Webster’s Pages for the outside of the card, and embossed a strip of cardstock for the top. I glued a fleur-de-lis brad top to a button to make the gate fold’s closure.
Here is a picture of the inside (you can click on the picture to make it bigger):
Thanks for looking at my card!
