I’m making a slight disclaimer on my card for this week’s Stampin Celebration challenge…I love the theme for the challenge, but circumstances beyond my control hampered my creative mojo a little bit on this one…
Before I made my card, I was out on the deck taking pictures of myself for a special blog post. I was holding the camera up above my head, and between clicks I felt a hard pin prick under my arm…I got stung by a wasp! Luckily, it doesn’t seem like I’m allergic, but it hurt like crazy! Today, it’s very itchy…it’s just in a bad spot.
So, when it came time to make my card, I used the bee-like colors, a flower stamp, and even found a cute little bee to put on the card…it seems that this one was a challenge of another kind for me! OUCH!
The flower and sentiment stamps are by Stampin’ Up! The diabolically cute bee was cut from some Imaginisce patterned paper. I embossed some Bo Bunny Double Dot for the card background and a scrap of paper by Three Bugs in a Rug for the dotted strip that goes across the embossed section.
The buttons are tied with baker’s twine.
Thanks for stopping by to check out my card!
