Stampin’ Celebration #21

It’s another overcast day here in Washington state…and the perfect weather to be curled up reading a good book or make some cards!

Yesterday, I made some crumpled paper flowers based on a tutorial I found on Cosmo Cricket’s blog. They are pretty easy to make…drying them in the microwave is pretty cool, too! I used the first flower I made on my entry for this week’s Stampin’ Celebration challenge! Here are the inspiration photos for this week:

Normally, I’m not a shabby-chic style cardmaker, but I thought that style would be great (combined with the crumpled paper flower), for my card!
I used SU natural white cardstock for the base, and papers by The Girls’ Paperie for the background. The bird cage and sentiment are also by Stampin’ Up! I used a piece of Maya Road lace for the trim and Chocolate Chip ink and dimensional glaze and glitter pens to color in the details on the birdcage.
Thanks for stopping by to look at my card!
