For this week’s Stampin’ Celebration challenge, I did some paper piecing to create a topiary based on these inspiration photos:
I stamped an image from Stampin’ Up’s “Artistic Etchings” set with Old Olive ink on some cardstock backing that I saved from some Prima flowers. I used a circle punch to cut it from the backing.
For the stem, I stamped a woodgrain pattern on some Soft Suede cardstock. I paper pieced the terra cotta pot from some Dusty Durango card stock and glued on a bow that I tied from some Martha Stewart ribbon.
The sentiment was also stamped in Old Olive using one of my favorite sentiments from the Level 3 SU Hostess set “Occasional Quotes.” Both the patterned and brown paper are from Pebbles Inc. I used Bo Bunny Sunflower Double Dot for the card background and SU kraft for the card base.
The hearts were made with a tiny heart punch. I added a little sparkle with a stardust gel pen.
Thanks so much for looking at my card!
I hope you’ll play along with Stampin’ Celebration’s challenge this week!
