There’s a new card challenge blog on the block…and it’s called Stampin’ Celebration! Each Thursday, a new Celebration Inspiration Challenge is posted, with entries due in by the following Tuesday. (Click here to check it out!)
The first challenge features a series of pictures from which to draw inspiration for your card or project:
This is the card I came up with based on those photos:
My card uses paper from Crate Paper’s Plum Blossom collection. The flowers are from Prima and possibly Imaginisce. The cardstock (blue, white and pink) is from Stampin’ Up, as well as the birdcage and hello stamp, which are from the Chic Boutique collection.
The lacy border was made with a Martha Stewart punch. I punched one side of a paper strip, then measured the width of the design. Then I trimmed off the extra cardstock, flipped the paper strip and lined it up to punch the design on the opposite side.
I stamped the birdcage on a transparency, then stamped again on some matching blue cardstock. I cut the bird out and stuck it to the back of the transparency to “color” the bird.
I love this card! I’m looking forward to playing along with more Stampin’ Celebration challenges!
Thanks for looking!
Very pretty! Great idea to use the transparency/blue card stock to 'color' the bird. Thanks so much for joining us at Stampin' Celebration!
This turned out so cute! I'm so glad you joined us this week at the Stampin' Celebration! Next challenge will be posted tomorrow!!!
