colourQ Challenge 55A & 55B

There’s a two-in-one challenge this week over at the colourQ…two sets of colors to play with!

I had fun with both sets of colors and made these cards:
The first card is made using SU cardstock in Poppy Parade and Tangerine Tango. The dog stamp is by Imaginisce. The rub-on sentiment is by Pebbles and the heart stamp is from Lawn Fawn.
The second card is made using SU cardstock in the three pink challenge colors. I embossed strips of cardstock and cut them to make the blocks. The image and sentiment stamps are by Elzybells Art Stamps. I added some Prima Pearls to make “bubbles.” I used Frosted Lace Stickles to make the bubble effect in the tub.
Thanks so much for taking time to look at my cards!
There’s lots more to see at the colourQ…2X the inspiration & 2X the fun!

Get Sketchy #60

I’m not a big Halloween or Fall cardmaker, so I decided to move into more of a Christmas frame of mind with this week’s Get Sketchy challenge! Here’s the sketch:
and here’s my card! I bought these papers last year at the Seattle CKC, but haven’t used them yet! They’re from My Mind’s Eye’s Colorful Christmas collection! The polar bear stamp is by Imaginisce…I thought it would pair well with these papers!
I stamped the bear in SU Chocolate Chip ink, and colored in its scarf with some colored pencils and markers. I accented the sentiment and the die-cut circle with Stickles.

Thanks for looking at my card!
You can check out the other entries and the design team’s creations over at Get Sketchy! This week’s challenge winner gets a Craft-N-Spin tool.

Unscripted Sketches BCAM Blog Hop!

It’s time again for another Unscripted Sketches challenge! This week, to help get the word out about Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’re doing a blog hop and piggyback challenge with this week’s sketch!
In honor of October being designated Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’re having a blog hop! Many, if not all of us, have been affected by or can name someone we know that has been affected by breast or other forms of cancer. Whether these women we love are survivors or have succumbed to it, it has changed the life of everyone involved. Please visit the Susan G. Komen foundation page for lots of great information on breast cancer prevention and research.

Our sponsor for this week’s challenge and hop, Anita Be Stampin’, is offering a special digital stamp and 100% of the proceeds of this stamp benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure! In the meantime, check out Anita Be Stampin’ for other fabulous products! She’s also offering a PRIZE during the hop!

Here’s our sketch for this week:

Our piggyback challenge is to make your card, scrapbook page or project in pink! If you want to flip the sketch or rotate it…that’s OK! There’s no right or wrong way, as long as you’re using the Unscripted Sketch as the basis of your creation!
Here’s my card!

colourQ #54

My last card in this round of updates is for this week’s colourQ challenge (#54)! This week, we’ve got some fun, spooky colors to play with!

I don’t have any Concord Grape paper, so I used something close to what’s in the display picture, and also a piece of Concord Crush to mat my sentiment:
The images and sentiment are from Lawn Fawn and the plaid paper is from Cosmo Cricket’s Matilda collection. I embossed some strips of Old Olive and Basic Black, accenting them with silver ink. Everything was stamped in Basic Black. The pumpkin was colored with Copics, and the bat and spider are colored with permanent markers and pencils.
Thanks for stopping by to look at my card!
There’s many more spooky treats for you to see over at the colourQ!

CPS #188

Here’s another Halloween card, this time using a sketch from Card Positioning Systems (CPS). This week’s challenge is sponsored by In Style Stamps!
I flipped the sketch for my card and used some cute candy corn stamps!
The candy corn stamp is by Studio G and the sentiment is from Lawn Fawn. The papers are from Cosmo Cricket’s Matilda collection.
Thanks for stopping by to check out my card! Check out the examples and the other entries over at CPS!

Moxie Fab World: Languish in Luxurious Challenge

This week’s Tuesday Trigger over at Moxie Fab World is totally turquoise (or teal)…whatever you call it, it’s terrific!

Here’s my take:
I was inspired by the color combination and the simple elegance of the trigger photo.
After much deliberation and over-thinking, I went a simple route and came up with this card. I stamped a background with a damask stamp from Impress, embossed a strip of matching cardstock, added some paper flowers with opal gem centers, and stamped a sentiment from the SU “Occasional Quotes” set.
and Take 2:
I made the first card in this post late Wednesday night, and didn’t upload it before I went to bed. After I posted it, it looked similar to the one above mine, so I came up with a second take on the challenge.
Honestly, I don’t look at the other entries in a challenge before I make my card, because I don’t want to be overly influenced by another person’s idea…and it bothers me when that happens anyway. Oh well…
Anyway, thanks SO MUCH for stopping by to look at my cards!

Stampin’ Celebration #24

Hey pumpkins! It’s time for another Stampin’ Celebration Inspiration Challenge:

I used a pumpkin in this week’s entry…this time with googly eyes!
The images and sentiment are by Lawn Fawn, and are stamped with SU Basic Black ink. The pumpkin is colored with Copics (I was lucky to be able to borrow some this past weekend from my buddy Sparkle), and the spider was done with colored pencils.
I embossed some cardstock, border punched the top and ran some silver ink across the embossing to bring out the details. The background paper is from Cosmo Cricket.
Be sure to check out all the spooky inspiration from the design team and the other entrants over at Stampin’ Celebration!

Get Sketchy #59

This week’s Get Sketchy challenge is another fun one! This week’s winner will get a gift certificate for 10 free digis at Tiffany Doodles!
Here’s the sketch:
and here’s my card!
I embossed a piece of SU Concord Crush cardstock for the background and punched some natural white cardstock for the border strips. The patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket’s Matilda collection, and the cute web and spider stamps are from Lawn Fawn stamps!
I colored the spider with some Copics and outlined the web with a dimensional glaze gel pen. I also used a stardust pen to accent the stars and to give them a little bit of glimmer!
Thanks for stopping by to look at my card!
There are lots more cute cards to check out over at Get Sketchy!

Stampin’ Royalty #40

This week, the Stampin’ Royalty goddesses are challenging you to a color challenge!

Here’s my card!

I used some paper from Cosmo Cricket’s Togetherness collection for the background, stamped the image and sentiment in Chocolate Chip ink, and used pieces of Concord Crush and Tempting Turquoise for the border strips. My other supplies are Copic markers (used to color in the image), ribbon, and clear stamps from Elzybells Art Stamps.

Thanks for looking at my card! Mine is a little late for the deadline, but you can take a look at all of the sweet entries and design team examples on the Stampin’ Royalty blog! Check them out!
