Happy Tuesday and welcome back for another colourQ challenge!
We had a very busy weekend travelling down to Portland for a wedding on Saturday. I also got to do some shopping at the CKC convention on Friday! It’s always fun to travel, but it’s so nice to come back home!
Now, for this week’s challenge! The colors for this week sure are a treat to work with!
I paired this week’s colors with an adorable stamp set from The Stamps of Life, “birthday4Cookie.”

The stamped images were colored with Copics. I embossed some kraft cardstock for the background, added some Early Espresso cardstock, and die-cut the stamped area for the main section of the card.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Saturday and welcome back for another Unscripted Sketch!

Next week, we’ll be celebrating our 100th sketch and 2-year blogiversary! I hope you’ll join us! We’ll be offering a prize from Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps as part of the celebration! Don’t miss the fun!

If you’re just finding Unscripted Sketches, every Saturday morning we post a sketch for the week. Flip the sketch, rotate it…create a card, a scrapbook page, or anything your imagination comes up with! There’s no right or wrong way, as long as you’re using the Unscripted Sketch as the inspiration and basis of your creation!
Now, on to this week’s sketch:

Here’s my card! I rotated the sketch and used papers from Bo Bunny’s Crazy Love collection, Basic Grey’s Hopscotch and a digi stamp from Some Odd Girl. The digi image only has one scoop of ice cream, so I printed the scoop two more times and cut them out to make a stacked treat! I created the sentiment in Microsoft Publisher.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a fantastic weekend and can’t wait to see what you’ll create with this week’s sketch…get linked up here!
The rest of the Unscripted team has some sweet examples for you: Alanna, Angy, Arielle, Becky, CherylAnn, Debbie, Gardenia, Jenny, Linda, Sarah Kaye and Stephanie!

Happy Tuesday and welcome back for another colourQ challenge (#77)!

It’s a busy week for me…I have errands to run today, CKC Portland shopping on Friday and we’ve got a wedding to attend this weekend! I really hope the weather cooperates! It’s been warming up slowly, so maybe spring is really on the way?

And as always, we’ve got some more gorgeous colors for you to play with this week:

I paired this week’s colors with a stamp from Imaginisce, paper from Basic Grey’s Marjolaine collection and a sentiment that I typed:

I colored the main image and sentiment with my Copics and added some heart bling to the camera. The die cut shapes were done with Spellbinders dies.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
I can’t wait to see what you’ll create with this week’s challenge colors!

Some Odd Girl Digi Stamps: Think Spring Challenge!

For this “Some Odd Girl Only” digi stamp challenge, each entry must use a Some Odd Girl digital image with the theme of SPRING!

Here’s my card, featuring “Lounging Kaylee”:

The paper I used is from Memory box, with some scraps of other papers to make the circles/flower. The flower accent is by Basic Grey, and the rub-on sentiment is from Pebbles. I colored Kaylee with Copics.
Thanks for stopping by!
This SOG only challenge runs until March 22nd! Visit the Some Odd Girl Digital Stamps blog to get linked up with your entry!

colourQ #76

Happy Tuesday and welcome back for another colourQ challenge!
Since St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, here’s a great combo of green (and a little yellow and brown) to help you celebrate!
For my card, I used a cute digi from Some Odd Girl Digital Stamps:

The paper I used is from Jillibean Soup, and the gingham is a scrap of paper from my stash. I created the sentiment in Microsoft Publisher on my computer, and colored the sentiment and digi with Copics.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope spring is on its way where you are…it’s been raining like crazy here for so long…some sunny springtime weather sure would be nice!

Enjoy your week and don’t forget to get your fantastic creation linked up at the colourQ blog!

Unscripted Sketches #97

EDIT: Sorry this post wasn’t up earlier today…seems that Blogger & I are having some issues with posts not publishing at the scheduled time.
Happy Saturday and welcome back for another Unscripted Sketches challenge! Today is my monthly stamping group, so I’m excited about getting out and getting creative with my girlfriends…always so much fun!

On to this week’s sketch! I rotated it for my card and put my sentiment where the two smaller rectangles are on the sketch.

Here’s my card, which features “Dancin’ Mae” from Some Odd Girl Digital Stamps!
I typed the sentiment on my computer and printed it out. The papers I used are from Memory Box and Crate Paper. The main image and the sentiment were colored with Copics. I created a rhinestone and ribbon border to separate the two parts of the design.

Unscripted Sketches #96

Happy Saturday! Welcome back for another Unscripted Sketches challenge!

Before I get to this week’s sketch, I want to let you know that in a few weeks (on April 2), we’re celebrating our 2-year Blogiversary and our 100th sketch! I hope you’ll play along with us for some fun and fantastic prizes!

Every Saturday morning we post a sketch for the week. Flip the sketch, rotate it…create a card, a scrapbook page, or anything your imagination comes up with! There’s no right or wrong way, as long as you’re using the Unscripted Sketch as the inspiration and basis of your creation!
This week’s sketch was a challenge for me! I changed up a few elements on the sketch — I moved the stripe behind the main image and put the accent on the left side to balance the design.
So here’s sketch #96:
And here’s my card, featuring The Greeting Farm’s “Cafe Ian” and papers from My Mind’s Eye:

I colored the image with my Copics to match the paper, and added a button cluster as the accent in the lower left corner.
Thanks for stopping by to look at my card! I can’t wait to see what you’ll create with this week’s sketch!
