Here’s the sketch for this week’s Get Sketchy Challenge:
And here’s my card!
The paper I used is from Basic Grey’s Kioshi line (Camelia for the background, sticker elements for the butterflies, leaves and circle border, and a bloomer for the flower.)
I added the antennae and stitching on the butterflies with a Staedler pen. I also used “Kermit” from Basic Grey’s Green at Heart line for the pink circle in the middle.
The card base is Kraft cardstock from Bazzill. I’m not sure what brand the sentiment sticker is; it was a freebie included with a special edition of Paper Crafts magazine.
Thanks for looking!

and here’s my card:
The paper is from Collage Press (the plaid) and Scribble Scrabble (the cherries and the red are from the same double-sided sheet). The letters are from Making Memories; the rest of the pieces are generic supplies like rhinestones (recolored with Bic permanent markers), green twill ribbon, embroidery floss, buttons and lime green Stickles. Thanks for looking; it was a fun sketch to work with!

PageMaps Card Contest
PageMaps is hosting a card contest … the prize is a 6×6 paper pad of Sassafras’s “Nerdy Bird”! The card I’m entering in the contest is based on the sketch below:
And here’s my card! It was made with paper from 3 Bugs in a Rug’s “Spread Your Wings” line…specifically the “In a Row” and “Little Red” paper. I used the scalloped border on the paper, and cut out a bird and a flower as accents. I folded the petals of the flower up to give it a little dimension and popped both the bird and the sentiment up with an adhesive foam square.
