colourQ #81

Happy Tuesday and welcome back for another colourQ challenge!
Spring is slowly coming back to Washington…we had sunshine over the weekend, although it’s still kind of chilly out there! I’m just happy to see some sun after all those months of rain!
Since Easter is a week away, and I’m sure you have some of your own Spring Fever, these colors will no doubt inspire you (not to mention those cute little bunnies in the photo):
Here’s my card:

Supplies: onesie stamp (Studio G), snail stamp (Lawn Fawn, Critters in the ‘Burbs), cardstock, typed sentiment, Copic markers, twine.
To make the clothespins, I drew a line on a scrap of kraft cardstock with a black pen, ran the scrap through my Xyron sticker maker, then cut fringe pieces into the cardstock to make the clothespins!
I also have the wooden mini ones, but I like to make these for cards where I’m using a bunch of clothespins in the design.
The grass was cut freehand on a strip of Old Olive cardstock.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I can’t wait to see what you’ll create with this week’s set of challenge colors!

Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps challenge #39

Hi and welcome back for another Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps Challenge (#39)!
This week’s challenge is to include a handmade embellishment on your entry!
This week’s winner will receive the adorable Traveling Josh stamp!
For my card, I used Turntable Josh:
Supplies: ink (Tsukineko Brilliance – Graphite Black), paper (Basic Grey Oliver and scraps from Fancy Pants and My Mind’s Eye), markers (Copic), metallic glitter brads, typed sentiment.
My handmade embellishment is the LP record. I made it by layering a green circle on top of a black circle and adding the detail with a white gel pen. To complete the record, I added a silver brad in the center to keep the circles together.
Thanks for stopping by!
To play along with this challenge, upload a photo of your project and provide a direct link in the linky widget at the bottom of the Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps challenge post.
If you use an online gallery like Splitcoast, please also use the keywords SCRSC39 and SparkleCreations (no spaces). If you have a Facebook account and are a fan of Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps, you can also upload there.

Unscripted Sketches #102

Happy Saturday and welcome back for another Unscripted Sketches Challenge (#102)!
First, I’d like to thank everybody who stopped by to leave comments during our 100th sketch blogiversary celebration! Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and leave some love! Hope you all had fun!
If you’re just finding Unscripted Sketches, every Saturday morning we post a sketch for the week. Flip the sketch, rotate it…create a card, a scrapbook page, or anything your imagination comes up with! There’s no right or wrong way, as long as you’re using the Unscripted Sketch as the inspiration and basis of your creation!
This week’s challenge also features an optional piggyback challenge, which is to recycle or reuse something on your card or project! Here’s our sketch for this week:
My card unfortunately doesn’t feature anything recycled on it because I made it before the piggyback challenge was announced. I could make up a story about re-using cotton balls for the bunny tails, but that wouldn’t be true…they’re little pom poms from the kids’ craft section!

Other supplies: paper (We R Memory Keepers), ink (Tsukineko Brilliance), stamp (Four Bunnies by Rubbermoon), markers (Copic), rhinestones, typed sentiment, cardstock.
Thanks for hopping by to look at my card!
The rest of the design team have some innovative ways of re-using items on their projects…don’t forget to check them out: Arielle, Becky, CherylAnn, Debbie, Gardenia, Jenny, KathyJo, Linda, Loes, Mary, Monique, Regan, Rudlis, Sarah Kaye, Steph, Susan, and Val!
And after you’ve been inspired, link your creation on the Unscripted Sketches blog!

colourQ challenge #80

Happy Tuesday and welcome back for another colourQ challenge (#80)! Today’s challenge colors were inspired by these cute reusable lunch bags:
Although I don’t have kids yet, I thought these colors would work well for an end of the year teacher thank you card and bookmark:

Supplies: Cardstock (Stampin’ Up!), image stamp (Lawn Fawn), ruler paper (Basic Grey Life of the Party mini pad), letter stickers (Cosmo Cricket), border punch (Fiskars), embossing folder (Sizzix), twine, Copic markers, sentiment (self-typed).
I have a hard time matching Copic colors to the Kiwi Kiss color. For some reason, what I think is Kiwi Kiss comes out more lime green. Anybody have a marker/color combo suggestion?
Thanks so much for stopping by!
For more delicious inspiration, visit the colourQ Royal Court Design Team’s blogs (links to each designer’s blog can be found under the thumbnail of this week’s challenge colors) and the colourQ blog!
This week’s challenge runs until Sunday, April 17 at noon Central Time to be considered for colourQueen! All the details and the link widget can be found at the colourQ! I can’t wait to see what you’ll create with this week’s challenge colors!

Some Odd Girl Digital Stamps: Clean & Simple Challenge!

I’m very excited about the latest challenge over at Some Odd Girl Digital Stamps! It’s a “Clean & Simple” challenge, and that’s definitely my style!

The first card was made with SOG’s “Kody Rocks” digi:

Other supplies: Paper (Fancy Pants), Copic markers, deckle edge scissors, metal brads.
My second card was made with SOG’s “Roller Mae”:

Other supplies: Paper (My Mind’s Eye), border punch (American Girl Crafts), Copic markers, Stickles.
The third card, made with “Garden Mae” is kind of a bonus card, because I made it for a different challenge, but I’m happy with how it came out…so I wanted to share it with you! I typed the sentiments for all three cards, which is something I’ve done a lot of lately!
Both Roller Mae and Garden Mae were flipped before they were printed so I could get them facing in the other direction.

Other supplies: Paper (SEI), buttons, twine, paper flower, adhesive pearl, Copic markers.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
If you’d like to play along with the Some Odd Girl “Clean and Simple” challenge, there’s still time to get linked up! The contest runs until April 19 at midnight Eastern time. One lucky winner will receive 2 digis from the SOG shop!

Unscripted Sketches #101

Happy Saturday and welcome back for another Unscripted Sketch! Hope you had lots of fun with the blog hop and the games and the sketch for our blogiversary celebration!

Here’s this week’s sketch…I had fun with it!

For my card, I used some paper from SEI’s Sunny Day collection with a digital stamp from Some Odd Girl Digital Stamps. The sentiment is one that I typed and printed, then die-cut with Spellbinders.

I colored the image with Copics and also colored the pearl in the center of the flower to match the background paper.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Today is my monthly stamping group meetup, and then a celebration for my friend Sparkle’s birthday!
