Reverse Confetti April Sketch Challenge

Hi, everybody! Hope your week is off to a good start! I’m popping in today to share a card that I made for the April Sketch For You To Try challenge at Reverse Confetti’s blog.

My entry features the “Be A Barista” stamp set. I love that you can pick different types of latte art to customize the beverage in your cup!

Here’s the challenge sketch. I made one change from the original layout. Because I added a tag element to the card front, I layered the horizontal strip behind the tag.

Two challenges, one card!

Hi, everybody! I’m playing along with the current Lawnscaping challenge, which is to use patterned paper on your project.

I used papers from Lawn Fawn’s retired “Into the Woods” and “Bright Side” petite paper packs and the new “Love You a Latte” clear stamp set for my card.
For all of the details on this challenge, or to link up your entry before the deadline (Wednesday, October 15), stop by the Lawnscaping Challenge blog
I’m also entering my card in the current challenge at retro sketches. This week’s challenge is to pick one of your favorite sketches from the retro sketch archives to inspire your entry. I chose retro sketch #86. Here’s a look at that sketch:

Paper Smooches SPARKS: Designer Draft Challenge!

Hi, crafty friends! I hope your week is off to a great start. Today was a busy day for me, but I managed to fit in some time to play along with the current Designer Drafts challenge at the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!
The sketch for this challenge is perfect for building a scene. For some reason, the image of a dachshund pulling links of sausage out of a birthday present got stuck in my head, so I put that scene together on this card!

All of the stamps on today’s card are from Paper Smooches stamp sets: the dachshund is from the “Woofers & Tweeters“set, the sausage is from the “Wake Up” set, the party hat was made from small stamps in the “Party Posse” set, and the sentiment is from the “Birthday Sampler” set. The only image that isn’t from a PS set is the present/box, which I made with a metal square die, and outlined the edges with a black pen to match the other parts of the scene.
Here’s a look at the sketch:
For all the details on this challenge, and to link up your entry (the deadline is Saturday, August 2nd at 11:59pm PST), please visit the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog

I hope you enjoyed my card…thanks so much for stopping by today! I’ll be back tomorrow with the newest digis at Some Odd Girl Stamps! See you then!

Getting sketchy with The Greeting Farm for GVT!

Happy Tuesday, everybody! Is it feeling like autumn where you are? I’m loving the cooler temperatures we’ve had this weekend and so far this week!

Fall is my favorite time of the year, especially the cooler weather and colors as the leaves change. So, it wouldn’t be a surprise if I told you that I’ve been hooked on creating with fall themed paper and colors, right?

For this week’s Garden Variety Tuesday at The Greeting Farm, we have a sketch as our theme!

I chose “Gracie,” one of the Wild Sprouts released a few months ago, and the sentiment from this month’s new release “Frou Frou Fabulous” for today’s card. The papers are from the “Persimmon” mini pad by Basic Grey, which coordinated well with embellishments I have from one of their past fall collections.

And here’s the sketch, designed by my very talented TGF DT buddy, Annie Rose:
