Some TWEET new digis have flown in to the Some Odd Girl Stamps store!

Happy Tuesday, everybody! It’s time for some new digis at Some Odd Girl Stamps, and I’m sure you’ll agree, they’re pretty “tweet”!

My card for today features “Birdy” times two, and some speech bubble sentiments from the “Flirty Mae” and “Hey Mae” clear stamp sets:

Before I printed out the digis, I copied and pasted another “Birdy“digi, then flipped the copy to create a scene of two birds chatting with each other, and then colored both birds. I stamped the sentiments and trimmed the panel and added it to the front of the card.

Hope your week is off to a great start! Make sure to stop by the Some Odd Girl blog to see what the other Odd Girls made with “Birdy” and the other new digis, “Cockatoo” and “Birds of Love“! Thank you so much for stopping by today!

There are lots of fun things going on in the Some Odd Girl community on Facebook, including a “Back-to-School” themed contest, inspiring creations from your fellow Oddies, and lots of fun topics for discussion! Hope to see you there!

New Digi Tuesday at Some Odd Girl: Two totally paw-some digis!

Happy Tuesday, everybody! So what do you think of the new clear stamps, paper and embellishments at Some Odd Girl Stamps? If you missed out on any of the excitement, check out my post with pictures of all of the goodies or pop by the Some Odd Girl blog for more gorgeous inspiration!

Because I love the new “Sunshine Sorbet” papers so much, I’m using them again today for the new digis! Seriously, you’ll love them, too! They are thicker than other 6″ x 6″ paper pads, and have vibrant colors that are perfect for tons of paper crafting projects! The back of each piece is solid white, and is of card stock thickness, so you can definitely save your scraps or stamp on the back!

Today’s first card features the new “Tia and Puppy” digi with a sentiment from the “Puppy Love Mae” clear set, and of course, “Sunshine Sorbet” paper and the matching sequins.

My second card features “Puppy Love“, the second adorable digi being released today at Some Odd Girl Stamps! I kept my design super simple so I could focus on the digi. The speech bubble is from the “I Do” clear set.

To keep the look subtle, I stamped it on a scrap of white card stock, then stamped again on my card front without re-inking. To make the heart accent, I used the first stamped image as a template to fill in the heart with some glitter glue and gloss medium. When it was dry, I trimmed the heart and adhered it in its spot on the card front. The sentiment can be found in the “Flirty Mae” clear stamp set.

Are you YETI to PARRRRRRRTAY?

Hi, everybody! Today, we’re wrapping up release week at Some Odd Girl Stamps with “Yeti”, the second new clear stamp set in the Some Odd Girl Stamps store! Are you YETI to PARTY?
And, I just HAD to use some of the delicious new “Sunshine Sorbet” paper and sequins! I cut along the side of the diamond-patterned paper to create a custom border and had the yeti throwing up some confetti/sequins to get the party started!
The sequins and designer paper are brand new Odds & Ends that were released Monday in the Some Odd Girl Stamps Store
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you enjoyed all of the fun things we’ve shared during Release Week!  Make sure to stop by the Some Odd Girl blog for more inspiration with Yeti!

Get Warm and Cozy with Sweater Kaylee!

Hi, everybody! Today I’m sharing a card with “Sweater Kaylee,” the first of two new clear stamp sets releasing this week at Some Odd Girl Stamps
I turned one of the woodgrain-patterned sheets from Some Odd Girl Stamps’ AWESOME new “Sunshine Sorbet” paper pad on its side to make this fun shaker card:
The sequins and wood veneer hexagons are brand new Odds & Ends that were released yesterday in the Some Odd Girl Stamps Store! To make the snowflake accent, I flipped one of the wood veneers over and stamped a snowflake on the smooth side. (By the way, the solid blue bamboo twine is also in the Odds & Ends section of the SOG Store! There are four solid colors and five twist colors of twine to choose from.)
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I’ll be back tomorrow with a project featuring the second new clear stamp set in Some Odd Girl Stamps’ September release, and I hope you’re YETI to party! Make sure to stop by the Some Odd Girl blog for more inspiration with Sweater Kaylee!

Check out what’s new at Some Odd Girl Stamps!

Hey, hey everybody! Have you seen what’s being released this week at Some Odd Girl Stamps? In addition to the clear stamp release, you’ll find a gorgeous “Sunshine Sorbet” 6″ x 6″ paper pad, wood hexie dots and a coordinating sequin pack!
As you can see, the papers are super fun and work so well with the Some Odd Girl clear and digi stamps! And, although you can’t see in the photo, the papers are nice and thick.
Each sheet has bold geometric patterns on one side, and is solid white on the other. Each 6″ x 6″ Sunshine Sorbet paper pad has two sheets of 12 coordinating designs.
Here’s a card I made with several of the papers and the “Hipster Mae” clear set:
You can also get a peek at the sequins and wood hexies in my card photo. The hexies come in a more natural style, offering up lots of possibilities for your projects! You might have noticed that I altered a few of the hexies with brown ink to make custom accents for my card.
Here’s a photo of all the new Odds & Ends, which hit the Some Odd Girl Stamps Store TODAY!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I’ll have more to share with you tomorrow, when we feature the first of TWO new clear stamp sets making their debut! For more delicious inspiration with the Sunshine Sorbet paper pad and the rest of the new goodies, stop by the Some Odd Girl Stamps blog!

Violin Gwen is LIVE at Some Odd Girl Stamps!

Hi, everybody! It’s new digi Tuesday at Some Odd Girl Stamps, and we’re wrapping up this month’s digi releases with another new Gwen digi! I’d like to introduce “Violin Gwen“, who is ready for her solo performance:
I used some elegant papers from my stash (“Capella” and “Serenade” 6×6 pads by Basic Grey) with gold accents added with the twine, a piece of gold patterned transparency, the heat-embossed sentiment (from the “Make A Statement” clear set), and I heat embossed a gold border on a plain wood button. I also used a gold metallic pen on the border of one of the papers.
I think the pleats in her dress came out okay. One of my goals is to get more practice with pleats and clothing folds and layers. I’m not sure if an online class would be for me, but it is something I’m researching.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! You’ll seriously want to keep up with Some Odd Girl Stamps on the blog, in the Facebook community and through the newsletter…we have some AMAZING new stuff coming up this month, and you won’t want to miss a minute!

Ballerina Gwen makes her debut with Some Odd Girl Stamps!

Hi, crafty friends! It’s New Digi Tuesday at Some Odd Girl Stamps! We have one new digital stamp to showcase today, so without further ado, I’d like to present the ever-graceful “Ballerina Gwen“. Doesn’t she look ready for her solo?

I heat embossed a sentiment from the “First Dance Mae” clear set on vellum. It works perfectly with Ballerina Gwen, don’t you think? The paper has been in my stash for some time now (it’s Basic Grey’s “Serenade” 6×6 paper pad). I added some glitter glue to her dress and wood star accents to complete the card.

We’re halfway through August, but there’s still time to link up your latest ODD creation to the Linky Party at the Some Odd Girl blog! You’ll find the linky tool on the right-hand side of the blog…and your creation might be featured in one of our weekly spotlights!

Hope your week is off to a great start! I have a lot of non-crafty stuff going on this week; looks like it’ll be a busy one! Make sure to stop by the Some Odd Girl blog to see what the other Odd Girls have made with the new digis! Thank you so much for stopping by today!

It’s New Digi Tuesday at Some Odd Girl!

Happy Tuesday, crafty friends! I have two cards to share with you today that feature the new digi stamp and sentiment cut file at Some Odd Girl Stamps!

It looks like the newest resident of Odd Land is enjoying some retail therapy! Say hello to “Shopping Piper“! I chose a sentiment from the “Hey Mae” clear stamp set, and the heart speech bubble comes from the “I Do” clear stamp set.

You may recognize the “Party Crab” digi stamp from a recent release, and I chose one of the new “Chill Sentiment Cut Files” to go along with him:
We’re almost halfway through August, so don’t forget about the Linky Party at the Some Odd Girl blog! There’s no special theme or requirements, other than you linking up your latest ODD creations so we can see what you’ve made with Some Odd Girl Stamps! You’ll find the link tool on the right-hand side of the blog…and your creation might be featured in one of our weekly spotlights!
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Hope your week is off to a great start! I’ve been fighting off allergies but that won’t stop me from getting things done this week! Make sure to stop by the Some Odd Girl blog to see what the other Odd Girls have made with the new digi and cut file!

New Digi Tuesday at Some Odd Girl Stamps: Welcome, Piper!

Happy Tuesday, everybody! Are you ready for the new digital stamps at Some Odd Girl Stamps? We’re continuing the summer and tropical themes this week with the first digi featuring Piper, the newest member of the Some Odd Girl Stamps family. Here’s “Mermaid Piper“, isn’t she gorgeous?
I took my time coloring this image, and I love how it turned out! I wanted to make Piper the focus of my tag, so I kept it pretty simple with some photo-realistic sky paper and some hand-cut waves. I heat embossed a sentiment from the “Make a Statement ” clear stamp set on vellum, and finished off the tag with a star sequin, a shell from the “Under the Sea Mae ” clear set, a handmade cork reinforcement and some funky net ribbon from my stash.
My second card features “Sea Turtle“, the newest digi critter swimming in to Some Odd Girl Stamps! I used some nautical-themed papers and my go-to sand effect, which is a thin layer of Distress Stickles (Antique Linen) over a strip of torn kraft card stock.

Now that we’ve flipped the calendar to August, don’t forget that there’s a new Linky Party kicking off at the Some Odd Girl blog! There’s never a theme for this; we just want you to link up your latest ODD creations so we can see what you’ve made with Some Odd Girl Stamps! You’ll find the link tool on the right-hand side of the blog…and your creation might be featured in one of our weekly spotlights!
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Hope your week is off to a great start! I’ve been fighting off allergies but that won’t stop me from getting things done this week! Make sure to stop by the Some Odd Girl blog to see what the other Odd Girls have made with the new digis!

Ahoy! New stamps are sailing in to Sweet Stamp Shop!

Ahoy! It’s time for a new release at Sweet Stamp Shop, and we have four fabulous sets arriving in the store today!

I made three cards for this release, and each has a little secret. My first card features mirror stamping with the “Fishy” set:

The fish on the left is stamped like normal, and the fish on the right was mirror stamped. I used the info I found in this tutorial on the Sweet Stamp Shop blog to flip the image. It’s so much easier than I thought it would be!
My second card uses the “Fishy” and “Beach Bum” sets, with a guest appearance from the “Alpha Tabs” set for the crab’s “salty” language. The secret on this card is how I stamped the sun…with the back of the beach ball stamp in the “Beach Bum” set.
I saved the most elaborate surprise for my third card. I wanted to make a treasure chest, but there wasn’t one in the set. I made my own by stamping the clay pot from the “Stuck on This” set twice, using one as the lid and the other as the base. I cut a strip of acetate to open and close the chest. (It’s hidden behind the sequins in the chest and I made an inner layer with the lid to hide the sentiment, and the other half of the acetate.)
Here’s a look at what the card front looks like with the lid closed and with it open:
I used stamps from the “Ahoy” set to create the treasure map corner, for the banner sentiment, and of course, the parrot on the top of the treasure chest. The stamped sand texture is from the “Beach Bum” set. The pirate hat is from the “Too Hip” set, and the fox and birthday stamp are from the “Foxy” set.
Here’s another look at Sweet Stamp Shop’s August release: “Beach Bum“, “Sail Away Sayings“, “Ahoy” and “Fishy“:
Make sure to stop by the Sweet Stamp Shop blog for more info on these sets, including new release specials, bundles or discounts!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope your week is off to a wonderful start!
