Your Next Stamp’s December New Release Hop!

Hi, everybody! I’m so glad you stopped by today! Since I’m a guest designer this month at Your Next Stamp, I’m joining in the blog hop to celebrate their December release!

You’ll find the full list of blogs in today’s hop at the bottom of my post, and make sure to visit each blog (and leave a comment) for your chance to WIN a $20 gift certificate to the YNS Store!

I’ve made a couple of cards to share with you today! The new stamps are adorable and are super-fun to color…they are perfect for creating cards, tags and other projects for the holidays!

My first card features “January” and her little penguin pal. I also used some of the Sparkly Teal Gumdrops to embellish my card.

My second card features “Aspen“. I used some of YNS’s Carribean Punch Glittered Gumdrops to accent a few of the snowflakes on the patterned paper.

You’ll have until December 9 at midnight (EST) to visit all of the blogs in the hop and leave your comments for your chance to win the gift certificate! Winners will be posted on the YNS blog before the DT Dare challenge on December 11!

Can’t wait to place an order for the new release, or want to get some of the YNS sets on your wish list? You’re in luck! Here’s a coupon code for you to use on your order for 30% off your purchase (including sale items). The offer starts today and expires on December 14:

I hope you’ve enjoyed the projects I shared with you today, and I’m glad you stopped by! Be sure to leave a comment for me before you hop over to the next blog to increase your chance of winning the $20 gift certificate to the Your Next Stamp Store!

Your Next Stamp – New Release Preview

Hi, everybody! It’s getting close to new release time at Your Next Stamp, so I have a sneak peek of “Aspen“, one of the new clear stamp sets being released at YNS in December:
I created a little scene on my card. To make the water, I used Glossy Accents over the patterned paper. I cut an arch of white card stock and added glitter glue to create the snow.
Here’s another look at the card front, so you can see that she’s attached her to the card with some foam tape for dimension. The snowflakes are accented with Sparkly Teal Gumdrops.
Be sure to come back tomorrow, when we kick off the December release with a blog hop! You could be one of the lucky winners of a gift certificate to the YNS Store! And, I’ll have a special sale code for your next purchase at Your Next Stamp
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have some crafty time coming up this weekend!

Two new portrait-style digis debut at Some Odd Girl Stamps!

Hi, everybody! I have two cards to share with you today, and both of the cards feature new Some Odd Girl digital stamps! Both of the new digi stamps are available in the Some Odd Girl Store right now!
I really took my time coloring “Floral Kaylee” so I could practice shadows on her face and on the flowers. I also matched the colors in the image to the Sunshine Sorbet papers I used for the background and the frame. (The strip of polka dot paper is a scrap from my stash.) The sentiment on the card is from the “Geisha Kaylee” clear stamp set.

I decided on a bright color scheme for my second card, which features “Tropical Piper” and a sentiment from the “Garden Gwen” clear stamp set:

I love coloring Piper’s curly hair! (My technique is a simple one: a mixture of squiggles and dots in three or four shades of a similar color.)

Did you notice that I altered a Hexie Dot with a gold glitter gel pen? You can see more ideas and a tutorial on heat embossing Hexie Dots on this tutorial post that I wrote for the Some Odd Girl blog!

The new digis at Some Odd Girl Stamps are ready for their close-up!

Hi, everybody! I hope you’re ready for some new Some Odd Girl digi stamps, because I have two cards to share with you today! We’re continuing our “portrait” theme for this month’s releases, and I know you’re going to love these! Both of the new stamps are available in the Some Odd Girl Store right now!
First up is “Coffee Piper,” paired with a sentiment from the “Sweater Kaylee” clear stamp set:
If you’re looking for a gal who’s retro glam, you’ve found her! “Beehive Mae” is the perfect example of fabulous, and I think that Sunshine Sorbet papers are a fabulous choice for this card! The sentiment is from the brand new “Wink Mae” clear stamp set.

You’ll find more inspiration with “Coffee Piper” and “Beehive Mae” at the Some Odd Girl blog!
I had a post on the Some Odd Girl blog yesterday with some inspiration on making this mini note card set with the Sunshine Sorbet 6×6 pad and the new “Garden Gwen” clear stamp set:
I’d love it if you stopped by the Some Odd Girl blog to check out my project! Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Hope you’re having a wonderful week so far!

Garden Gwen is blooming gorgeous!

Happy Tuesday, Oddies! Welcome back for the second day of the clear stamp release at Some Odd Girl Stamps! My project for today is a tag featuring “Garden Gwen“!

I fussy cut the top part of Gwen and layered her over the top of the frame. Because the patterned paper I chose was sort of “busy”, I layered a sheet of vellum on top to soften the colors and design. I finished the tag with a gold heat-embossed sentiment, Blue Bamboo Twine, and a border punch strip of some Sunshine Sorbet paper.

Wink Mae is fabulous (and new) in the Some Odd Girl Stamps Store!

Happy Monday, Oddies! It’s a new month and that means it’s time for another clear stamp release at Some Odd Girl Stamps! We have a portrait theme this month with our two new clear stamp sets (and you’ll see the theme carried through in this month’s digi stamp releases, too!), and we’re starting things off with “Wink Mae“!

I stamped the frame twice: once for “Wink Mae“, and again for the sentiment. You’ll also notice that I chose some Odds & Ends for my embellishments: the Orange Bamboo Twine, Pink Bamboo Twine, and Sorbet Sequins. The orange wood grain patterned paper is from the Sunshine Sorbet 6×6 paper pad.

I’ll be back tomorrow with a new project and the second new clear stamp set in Some Odd Girl Stamps’ October release, and it’s portrait perfect! Make sure to stop by the Some Odd Girl blog for more inspiration with Wink Mae

YEEHAW! Cowboy Kody is riding in to the Some Odd Girl store!

Well howdy, everybody! There’s a new cowpoke in town, and he’s riding in to the Some Odd Girl store today! I’m much obliged to share a card that I made with “Cowboy Kody.”
I mixed and matched some retired patterned papers from my stash, and made a custom sentiment by cutting apart some label stickers. I also added some texture to the woodgrain paper with an embossing folder.
Don’t forget to join our blog hop, which runs until October 31st at midnight Eastern, and we’ll announce the winners chosen from the comments left on each participating blog in the hop on the Some Odd Girl blog on Monday, November 3rd. Look at the “treats” you could win!

It’s New Digi Tuesday at Some Odd Girl Stamps!

Hi, everybody! It’s time for new digi stamps and cut files to hit the Some Odd Girl Stamps store!
You’ll find two new digital stamps (“Bandit Wizard” and “TRex“) and two new cut files (“Forest Fold Card” and “Loopy Sentiments vol. 3“) in the store today. My card features “Bandit Wizard“, an adorable critter who will cast a spell on you!
I chose retro sketches #133 for my layout. Because we make our cards a few weeks in advance of each post, I wasn’t able to enter this card in the challenge, but I thought you’d like to see the inspiration behind my design.
I changed a few things for my layout, like the placement of the buttons and sentiment, and added some twine, but the basic idea’s the same.
Have you sent in your entries for Some Odd Girl Stamps’ “Digi Me” contest? There are only a few days left to get your ideas submitted, and you can find all the details at the Some Odd Girl blog!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you had a wonderful weekend and that your week is off to a great start!

You’ll go CRAZY for Cat Lady Kaylee!

Happy Monday, Oddies! It’s time for another clear stamp release at Some Odd Girl Stamps, and if you’re a cat lover, you’ll go CRAZY for today’s new stamp set! I’m not a cat person, but I loved coloring these kitties!
Isn’t “Cat Lady Kaylee” meow-velous? (You can find the sequins and twine in the Odds & Ends section of the Some Odd Girl Stamps Store!)
Have you sent in your entry (or entries)  for the “Digi Me” contest?

The contest kicked off on September 29 and runs through October 23. You can enter three times on each platform, including the Some Odd Girl blogInstagramPinterest, and Facebook. All entries must be publicly visible or they won’t qualify for the contest. You can find the full details at the Some Odd Girl blog, including which hashtags to use when submitting your entry.
I’ll be back tomorrow with a project featuring the second new clear stamp set in Some Odd Girl Stamps’ October release, and it’s dog-gone cute! Make sure to stop by the Some Odd Girl blog for more inspiration with Cat Lady KayleeThanks so much for stopping by today!

New Digi Tuesday at Some Odd Girl Stamps!

Hi, everybody! Hope your week is off to a great start! Since it’s Tuesday, that means I have a project to share with you featuring a brand-new digi at Some Odd Girl Stamps!
The fairy digis and clear stamp sets are super popular, since we see so many fabby creations with them in our Facebook community, our monthly Linky Party on the blog and on our Oddies Project Board on Pinterest! I know this one will be super popular, too! Meet “Petal Fairy“:
Isn’t she gorgeous? I colored her to match some retired papers from my stash, and heat-embossed a sentiment from the “Make A Statement” clear set to match the frame on the card front.
And since we’re on the subject of new digis, did you see the new contest that kicked off yesterday at Some Odd Girl Stamps?
I’m sure you have a wish list of digis that you’d love to see in the Some Odd Girl Stamps lineup (I know I do). With the “Digi Me” contest, your idea might come to life as a new digital stamp for Some Odd Girl!
You can find all of the details on the contest at the Some Odd Girl blog, including some OUT OF THIS WORLD examples from the super-creative Odd Girls!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
