Snow Queen Piper is all NEW in the Some Odd Girl Store!

Hi, everybody! It kind of seems out of season now to share a card with a winter-themed digi, but I think you’ll agree this new image from Some Odd Girl stamps is a perfect sendoff to the season!
Snow Queen Piper is the second of two new digis being released this month at Some Odd Girl. Last week’s digi release, Snow Fun Tia, is a great companion image to this one! Here’s my card:

Snow Fun Tia is NEW at Some Odd Girl!

Hi, everybody! As temperatures are getting warmer, and the snow is starting to thaw, we’re wrapping up winter this month at Some Odd Girl stamps with a new digi release!
Snow Fun Tia is the first of two new digis being released this month at Some Odd Girl. I made a card with her today, but I bet she’d be a perfect accent on any scrapbooking layouts you’re planning using your winter photos!
I made the snow effect with white Liquid Applique’, which puffs up when you use a heat tool. I like that it gives a little touch of dimension to snowy scenes.

Get your geek on with Nerdy Kody!

Hi, everybody! Even though March means that we’re coming to the end of this DT term at Some Odd Girl, we still have a lot of fun planned for you, including TWO clear stamp releases!
Anybody who loves a geeky guy will love today’s new stamp set, “Nerdy Kody.” Although my geeky guy doesn’t wear glasses any more, he’s still an avid gamer and a computer network administrator, so I think he’d get a kick out of this set! Here’s my take:
I’ll have something for all you geeky gals tomorrow, so make sure you stop by! For more inspiration from the Odd Girls using Nerdy Kodyvisit the Some Odd Girl blog!

Just Hangin Around with Tobie!

Hi, everybody! Today’s new digi at Some Odd Girl Stamps is the last one based on the winning Digi Me contest entries. “Hanging Around Tobie” was an idea submitted by Krystal Edmond. Here’s my take:
This digi was lots of fun to color, and I found that flipping the image while coloring helped to get the shadows in places where they made sense.
You can check out the inspiration behind the digi and find out what our guest Krystal and the rest of the DT made with Hanging Around Tobie at the Some Odd Girl blog!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

It’s a Some Odd Girl spa day with Mae!

Hi, everybody! Hope your week is off to a great start! I have one card to share with you today, and it features “Spa Day Mae“, the newest digital stamp in the Some Odd Girl shop!
I chose the designer paper that I used for this card because I loved the colors. After I finished coloring the image to match the paper, I thought the paper looked a bit too “busy” to me, so I muted it with a panel of vellum.
I heat embossed the sentiment (it’s from Some Odd Girl’s “Renew” clear stamp set) on the vellum to keep the number of layers down and to give a little bit of contrast to the soft look of the vellum.
For more inspiration with “Spa Day Mae,” stop by the Some Odd Girl blog! You should also join us in the SOG Facebook group and show us what you’ve made with Some Odd Girl stamps!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you are able to take some time for yourself and get creative!

Bonjour, Frenchie Gwen!

Bonjour, mes amis! Today I’m sharing a card with the second new clear stamp set at Some Odd Girl, “Frenchie Gwen“! In addition to the main image, the set includes two handwritten calligraphy sentiments, a mini outline heart and an Eiffel Tower stamp.
I created a photo-inspired scene with the Eiffel Tower and Frenchie Gwen stamps:
The sentiment is stamped on vellum with watermark ink then heat embossed with black embossing powder. I also used a Hexie Dot and some Pink Bamboo Twine as accents.
I hope you’ve been enchanted by our new release, which is available now in the Some Odd Girl Store! For more inspiration with Frenchie Gwen, or Frenchie Kody, stop by the Some Odd Girl blog!

It’s New Digi Tuesday at Some Odd Girl!

Hi, everybody! Now that Kristy and the Some Odd Girl staff are back from another successful Winter CHA show, New Digi Tuesday has returned!
I wasn’t able to attend the show this year, and I missed seeing my crafty friends and getting peeks at all of the new craft products! I’m hoping to make it to the 2016 show, though!
What makes this month’s Some Odd Girl digi releases so special is that the winners of the recent “Digi Me” contest get to see their ideas come to life AND they’re guest designing with us!
First up is contest winner Sara Schumann‘s “Fighter Gwen” digi. Here’s my card with Sara’s winning idea:
You can find all of the background on Sara’s inspiration, and the cards she made with this digi, at the Some Odd Girl blog!
Our second new digi being released today isn’t a contest winner, but it certainly fits in with Some Odd Girl Stamps’ quirky style! Let’s give a big “ROAR” to “Tiger Piper“:

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to join us at the Some Odd Girl blog and our Facebook group as we celebrate Some Odd Girl’s 5th birthday this week!
Next week’s digi release will feature the second winner of Some Odd Girl’s Digi Me Contest…you won’t want to miss out on all of the fun and inspiration! See you then!
