TGF Double Take Tuesday: Photo Inspiration

Happy Tuesday, everybody! It’s time for a new Double Take Tuesday challenge at The Greeting Farm, and this week, we’ve got some cool photo inspiration to spark your creativity!
For my card, I chose “Monday Morning” and let the colors in the photo inspire my card. I also threw in some chevron patterned paper and used a coordinating embossing folder for one of my elements.
Since she’s a Creeper, I thought it would be fun to color her in different shades of cool grey, with just some spot color on her outfit.
Supplies: image stamp (“Monday Morning” – The Greeting Farm), polka dot paper (Echo Park Dots & Stripes), flower, aqua/black stripes: (Basic Grey Lucille), brown chevron paper (My Mind’s Eye), sewing machine, Copic markers, Copic Spica clear glitter pen, rolled flower dies, white marker, Spellbinders Labels 28,  glitter brads (American Crafts).
Here’s our fabulous photo inspiration, picked by TGF DT Member Rosemary:
So, here’s what you’ll need to know to participate in our challenge:

  • You must use a TGF stamp (rubber, digi, or clear) as your main image.
  • Entries must be uploaded via InLinkz on the TGF blog no later than Monday, March 18, 2013 at NOON CST
  • You can add a direct link to your entry from your personal blog, SCS gallery, Flickr or TGF galleria.
  • (If the InLinkz tool is missing, feel free to link your submission URL in the post’s comment section.)
  • The fabulous prize: A random participant will be selected to win a digital image of choice from the TGF store.
  • And here’s the double take: each week, our friends have the opportunity to DOUBLE that prize to either two digis or, you can trade those two digis for a SINGLE rubber stamp of choice, as long as we have 20 or more players each week! Encourage all your friends and family to play along!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
I’ll be back tomorrow to share a new TGF Retro-Fresh challenge card with you!

Farm Fresh Friday — Greeting Farm Style!

Happy Friday, friends of the Farm! I’m so happy to be here today with a St. Patrick’s Day-inspired card to share with you! I chose The Greeting Farm’s new Blush on the block, “Beatrice,” for my card:

After coloring her, I wanted to add a clover accent, so I punched four mini hearts out of cardstock. I added some details with a Copic marker, ran the punched pieces through a Xyron sticker machine, and then arranged them over her hands to make it look like she’s holding a clover! And of course, I had to add a little sparkle with some Stickles!

Other supplies: patterned paper (My Mind’s Eye), Spellbinders dies (circle, small scalloped circle), embossing folder (Sizzix) , twine (Whisker Graphics), sewing machine, mini heart punch, Copic markers, opaque white marker, Stickles glitter glue.
Ready to join in the fun? Here’s what you’ll need to know:

*You must use a TGF stamp (rubber, digi, or clear) as your main image.

*Entries must be uploaded via InLinkz on this challenge’s post at the TGF blog no later than Thursday, March 14th at NOON CST.

You can add a direct link to your entry from your personal blog, SCS gallery, Flickr or TGF galleria.
*The fabulous prize: A random participant will be selected to win their choice of an in-stock SINGLE RUBBER STAMP or a 4×6 set!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Don’t forget to check out what the rest of the Showcase Team created for this challenge, and link up YOUR entry at TGF’s blog! If you haven’t linked up your card for this week’s Double Take Tuesday challenge (blue & brown color combo), there’s still time!

CCC #14 – Anything Goes!

Happy Sunday, everybody! It’s time for a new Christmas Card Challenge, and it’s easy to join in on the fun because this week, “anything goes”!

And, because it’s the first challenge of the month, we’re offering a Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamp prize to one lucky entrant!

Here’s my card! I used an image stamp from The Greeting Farm’s “I Heart Sweaters” set, and papers from Basic Grey’s Eskimo Kisses line. The foil snowflake scrap is from SEI’s Berry Melody mini pad. I think the olive and aqua papers are from My Mind’s Eye.

Remember, all of our challenges are optional…the only “real” rule is that you must create a new Christmas, Holiday or Hannukah card, then link it up on our blog so we can stop by and say hi!

It’s not necessary that you use a Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamp on your card, but we sure love it when you do!

Don’t forget to visit the rest of the CCC team to take a peek at the fun and festive cards they’ve created this week: AlannaCorinneJennifer, JovitaKarenKatieLeesaLorieMargoMichelePatStephanie…and our guest designer for March, Hazel!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful week, and don’t forget to link your entry on the Christmas Card Challenges blog! See you there!

Seize the Birthday #7

Hi, everybody! Just stopping in today to share my card for the current Seize the Birthday challenge! This week’s card is for the girls! I chose The Greeting Farm’s “Anya Lifts” for today’s card:
I love coloring the balloons! I added Glossy Accents to the balloons after I colored them to make them stand out a little more. The papers I used are from Lawn Fawn’s first mini pad (which may be retired, since I couldn’t find it on their site to link for you).
Here’s the sketch for this challenge, which will also be the sketch for challenge #8, but for a masculine card. I’ll share that card with you later this week!
In related “happy news”…both of my cards for the last Seize the Birthday challenges were picked for “Birthday Honours”!

You can see them at their original posts HERE and HERE!

Things are going fine with our move so far. We are staying with a friend until our house is ready, so it’s nice that the road tripping is done for now…in about a month or so, we’ll be in the new house, and I’ll finally be able to settle in and start fixing up my craft room!
Thanks for all the happy wishes as we’ve made what we hope is our final cross-country move. It was a wild week of long days, bad weather, but we made it to the Washington, D.C. area and have started to figure out where things are. We’ll be moving to northern Virginia once our house is ready…I am beyond excited!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Farm Fresh Friday: Flowers!

Hi everybody! Welcome back for a new Farm Fresh Friday challenge at The Greeting Farm!
This has been a crazy week…we’ve been on our cross-country move road trip from Washington state to Virginia. We got caught in some wild snowy weather in Colorado, and had a mishap with our moving trailer in Ohio today (the left wheel was wobbling, and when we were at the rental place getting it fixed, it wobbled enough to almost fall off!), but tomorrow should be a much easier day. Whew!
I am so glad that I was able to work ahead and get all of my DT deadlines done before we hit the road. I’m hoping to get back to coloring tonight and this weekend…I’ve missed it so much!
Without further ado, I’m pleased to present my card for this week’s FFF, featuring “Gracie” (and a die and a sentiment from the new clear stamp and die sets):
You may recognize the flower die from the brand-new “Mini Fleurs w/die” set, and the sentiment from the new “Mini Cupcakes w/die” set!
I also used the sketch from this week’s DTT challenge…if you haven’t linked up your card yet, there’s still time to join us!
For all the details on both of these challenges, stop by The Greeting Farm blog!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs,

TGF Double Take Tuesday!

Howdy, friends of The Greeting Farm! I have a new card to share with you today for our new Double Take Tuesday challenge at the TGF blog! This week, we have a sketch to inspire you, and I know you’ll have fun creating with it!

Here is my card, featuring “Awareness Anya“:

I changed a thing or two from the original sketch when I made my card. Instead of putting the sentiment along the side, I moved it in place of the accent flowers. It was too big to fit on a tab, so I used the twine in the place of the tab. Two brads in the lower right corner are accents to balance the card.

and here’s our sketch, created by Showcase DT member Annie Rose:

For all the guidelines on this challenge, and to link up your entry, just visit the TGF blog! We can’t wait to see what you’ll create! Don’t forget, you also have time to enter our Retro-Fresh “Hearts” challenge, and there are a few days left on our Farm Fresh Friday challenge, too!

We’re still on the road, making our way from the West Coast to Virginia, and I can’t wait until we’re settled again! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hugs,

It’s a TGF release to DIE for!

Hi there! Hope you’re enjoying our special new release blog hop…and that you are as excited as we are about this new release!

The Greeting Farm is branching out in a NEW direction, and we are so excited to unveil what you may have seen bits and pieces of after CHA!  Yes, the rumors are true!  While TGF will still continue to bring you the cute characters you’ve come to know and love, I’m excited to share a new collection of clear stamp sets with you that come packaged with….MATCHING DIES!
TGF took its time testing them until they found the perfect fit and we think you’ll love them!  They work in any standard die cutting machine (Cuttlebug, Big Shot, Grand Calibur, etc.) and come tucked in with their matching stamp sets for an amazing price of only $10.50 per set!  Your papercrafting adventure just got a little more exciting, right?
To celebrate this exciting news, The Greeting Farm is welcoming SIX talented guest bloggers to our party today and we couldn’t be more excited to have them along with us!
I used all four of the sets today! They work great together or separate! Each comes with several images and a matching sentiment, giving you LOTS of creative options!
Here are my cards:

I used the metal die to cut a cloud out of felt. It cuts beautifully!
You can mix and match the tops and bottoms of the cupcakes in the set, giving you lots of fun options!
The sets work great together and build on each other! They are also great for accenting cards and projects created with all of your favorite characters from The Greeting Farm!
and in case you missed it, here’s an encore showing of my sneak peek card from yesterday:

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you’re enjoying everyone’s posts and creations!
