Drunken Stampers #95 – Think Peach!

Happy Saturday! I hope you’ve had time to check out the swell re-design of the Drunken Stampers challenge blog and the introductions for our & returning design team members!
When we took a break in July, I wanted to give the Drunken Stampers blog a makeover so more of you would be encouraged to play along with our challenges! I came up with a retro “cocktail party” look and feel for the blog, and I hope you love it as much as I do!
I’ve also created new graphics for each challenge, new badges for the DT members, and soon we’ll be picking a “Life of the Party,” who will receive a spiffy badge for their blog and possibly other goodies!
For this week’s challenge, we’d like for you to include the color peach on your card in honor of endometrial/uterine cancer month!
Here’s my card for this challenge:

Supplies: stamps (Market Street Stamps – Tiki Time), ink (Brilliance Graphite Black), twine (The Twinery), various paper scraps from my stash, Copic markers, Stickles, foam tape, brads.

For more inspiration, check out what my fellow “Team Mojito” members created for this challenge: Barb, Deanne, Jackie, and Spike! You can see them all at the Drunken Stampers blog, too!

Also, we’re kicking the party into high gear…now we’ll have weekly challenges…so it’s easier to remember that Saturdays are Drunken Stampers Challenge Days!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I can’t wait to see what everyone makes for this challenge! Don’t forget to link your entry at the Drunken Stampers blog! See you there!

Hugs,

Drunken Stampers #94

Happy Saturday! It’s time for a new challenge at Drunken Stampers! We’ve come to the end of this DT term, and I’d like to send a big THANK YOU to everyone who has played along in our challenges over the past six months!

This week, we’re celebrating National Milk Chocolate Day AND National Hamburger day!! – use either chocolate or hamburgers…or both!

Here’s my card (I tried to work in both with this fun “Fanny” image from Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps):

The paper that I used for this card is from the Echo Park Happy Days mini pad. The denim paper is from Crate Paper.

The party’s just getting started! Don’t forget to stop by and see what the rest of the team created! If you’d like to visit their personal blogs and leave them some love, here’s the list: ChaitaliDonnaElizabethNatSpike, and Steph!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend! We’re leaving this challenge open until the end of August, because we’re taking a break! We’ll be back on September 1 with a new set of challenges, and a blog makeover! There’s a new attitude on the way for Drunken Stampers, and I hope you’ll join us for our new challenges!

Don’t forget…there’s still time to join in on the challenges at the colourQ, and Your Next Stamp! I’ll be back tomorrow for a new Christmas Card Challenge! See you then!

Drunken Stampers – On The Road Again

Hi, crafty friends! I am running somewhat late with my Drunken Stampers post. I had this card made a few days ago, and somehow forgot to take a photo of it! Sometimes working ahead isn’t necessarily a good thing!
Our new challenge at Drunken Stampers is TRAVEL…whatever that means to you! Sunday is Canada Day and we’ll be celebrating Independence Day here in the U.S. on July 4. For many people, that means some kind of travel is in their holiday plans!
Whether your favorite mode of transportation is a car, a bike, a plane, roller skates, or something else, it can inspire your entry for this challenge!

Here’s my card:

Supplies: patterned paper (Simple Stories, Echo Park), cardstock embellishments (Simple Stories), sentiment stamp (Unity Stamp Co.), twine (My Mind’s Eye), adhesive rhinestones, folder tab die (My Favorite Things).
Ready to roll? Don’t forget to visit the rest of the DS Team for more inspiration: ChaitaliDonnaElizabethNatSpike, and Steph!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Our deadline for this challenge is Friday, July 13th at 11:59 PST! You can link your entry at the Drunken Stampers blog! See you there!

Drunken Stampers #90

Happy Saturday! It’s time for a new challenge at Drunken Stampers! Thanks to everybody who played along with our last challenge! You sure showed us some inspiring ways to create with triangles!
This week, we’ve got a fun, tasty, summery colour combination for you!

Here’s my card:

Supplies: glitter (Martha Stewart Crafts), cardstock (Stampin’ UP – red, pink; Papertrey Ink – kraft, white), twine (Trendy Twine), sentiment stamp (Paper Smooches), Ranger Glossy Accents, Cuttlebug embossing folder, vellum, wood button.

I made the star accents by drawing a star on card stock, traced it onto thicker card stock, ran it through my Xyron sticker maker, then added glitter to the sticky side, sealed it with Glossy Accents and let it dry overnight. The green star didn’t come out as “limey” as I would have liked it to be in the picture, but it looks closer to that color in person.

I added a square of vellum to the red card stock square to soften it. It was pretty challenging working with all five colors (I’m used to a limit of 4)!

Ready to get crafty? Here’s our delicious colour combo:

The party’s just getting started! Don’t forget to stop by and see what the rest of the team created! If you’d like to visit their personal blogs and leave them some love, here’s the list: ChaitaliDonnaElizabethNatSpike, and Steph!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend! We’re celebrating my husband’s birthday this weekend…last night we went to a Seattle Mariners game and had a great time! Don’t forget to link up your entry for this challenge at the Drunken Stampers blog!
Don’t forget…there’s still time to join in on the challenges at the colourQ, and Your Next Stamp’s Splitcoast Forum! I’ll be back tomorrow for a new Christmas Card Challenge! See you then!

Drunken Stampers: What’s Your Angle?

Happy Saturday! It’s time for a new challenge at Drunken Stampers! Thanks to everyone who joined us last time! We always love checking out your creations! This time, we’d like for you to use triangles in your entry!

Here’s my card:

Supplies: patterned paper (Kioshi & Konnichiwa – Basic Grey), cardstock (Stampin’ UP!), image stamp (Kiyomi  – Sister Stamps), sentiment stamp (Amy R Stamps – Magical Wishes Sentiments), grass punch (Fiskars), acetate, foam squares, Copic markers (skin – E00, E01, E53, R02; hair – 110, C4; clothes – BV00, BV02, RV63, RV66; butterfly – YR02, YR15, Y15, Y00, YR00; other – C0, C1).
My triangles are a little more subtle (like in the patterned paper), but as long as there are triangles of some type in your entry, you’re good to go!
The party is still going on at the Drunken Stampers blog! Don’t forget to stop by and see what the rest of the team created! It’s so much fun to see everyone’s different takes on the same challenge!
If you’d like to visit their personal blogs and leave them some love, here’s the list: ChaitaliDonnaElizabethNatSpike, and Steph! Don’t forget to link up your entry for this challenge at the Drunken Stampers blog!
Hope you have a wonderful, craft-filled weekend! I’m getting together with some of my crafty gal pals for stamping night! It should be a blast!
Hugs,

Drunken Stampers #86 – You’re a Krafty One!

Happy Saturday, crafty pals! Thanks for stopping by to check out my first “official” card as a member of the Drunken Stampers team! This week, we’re showing our “krafty” side by using kraft paper or card stock on our cards!

Here’s mine:

Supplies: patterned paper (Memory Box – Valise mini pad), digital stamp (Geeky Mae – Some Odd Girl), sentiment stamp (Clever Girls set – aMuse Studio), border punch (EK Success), twill tape, ink (ColorBox cat’s eye – Lemongrass, Tsukineko Brilliance), glitter brads, Copic markers, manila tag (7Gypsies), twine, staples, foam tape, rub-ons (Making Memories), paper clip.
I love the “CSI” feel of this card…Now that I look at it again, I wish I had stamped words on the twill tape! Can you tell that I’m a big fan of mysteries and forensic science? I’ve recently started reading a new historical fiction-mystery series set in the early 1900’s…I think it’s amazing how far we’ve advanced in crime-solving technology in such a short time!
Sorry to geek out like that…LOL! I hope you’ll play along with our latest challenge!
For more krafty inspiration, visit the other Drunken Stampers to see what they’ve created this week: Chaitali, Donna, Elizabeth, Peggy, Spike and Steph! And don’t forget to link up your entry at the Drunken Stampers blog! See you there!

Drunken Stampers #85

Hi, crafty friends! Just a quick post to announce that I’m one of the newest members of the design team at the Drunken Stampers challenge blog! Even though the new team’s debut challenge isn’t until April 7, the new DT was announced this Saturday, and I’m happy to be a part of such a creative bunch of ladies!

I hope you’ll take a peek at the blog and hopefully play along with our challenges! The current challenge is “I’ll Drink to That!,” which means we want you to make a project with a “drink” theme. Whether your beverage of choice is lemonade, coffee, tea or something stronger, any drink will do! (My drink of choice is usually coffee, Crystal Light or tea, by the way!)

Here’s my card for the challenge!

Supplies: patterned paper (Basic Grey – Oxford; Echo Park Dots & Stripes), image and sentiment stamps (Coffee Crusader – Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps), embossing folder (Sizzix), curved rectangles die (Spellbinders), Copic markers, watermark ink, embossing powder, glitter brads, card stock (Stampin’ Up, Bazzill), card base.

Saturday, some members of our craft group met to celebrate our friend Sandy’s birthday, so I had a fun day of crafting with my friends!

Until next time, I hope you have a wonderful, crafty week! I’ll be back tomorrow with a new colourQ card! Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs,
