Drunken Stampers 111 – Food

Happy Saturday, crafty friends! It’s time for my team to post again at Drunken Stampers, and this week, we’re inspired by food! With the holidays in full swing, who can resist a few sweet treats?
My card features The Greeting Farm’s “Anya Treats,” and the layout is inspired by this week’s Deconstructed Sketch (#82):
Other supplies: paper (Basic Grey Paper Cottage), border die (Your Next Stamp – Whatnots Die Set), twine (Trendy Twine), Copic markers, sentiment stamp (Impress Rubber Stamps), watermark ink, opaque white embossing powder, Copic markers.

I finally got into the holiday spirit this week…it has been pretty hard to get there this year. Everything is starting to come together, though. Instead of cooking a large meal for just the two of us, my husband and I are going out to dinner for Christmas Eve.

Our holiday plans were up in the air for a while, since Scott has been transitioning to civilian life and has been looking for a job outside of the Army. Fortunately, he was offered a job this week, so that means we will be relocating soon…hopefully this will be our last big move for quite some time!

To play along with us, all you need to do is link your project on the Drunken Stampers blog using the Linky Tool, and add your blog link, gallery link, etc.

Please add the link directly to your project (any generic blog links will be deleted from the list) and leave us a comment! (if Linky Tools isn’t working or just misbehavin’, just leave a comment with the link to your card) You have until  Friday, December 28 at 11:59 PST to post your link for this challenge!

You can check out what the other members of Team Mojito (and maybe some members of Team Flirtini) have created for this challenge by visiting the Drunken Stampers blog!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful weekend! I’ll be back tomorrow with a new Christmas Card Challenge…see you then!

Drunken Stampers #107 – Shabby Chic

Hi, crafty friends! It’s time again for the ladies of Drunken Stampers‘ “Team Mojito” to post their cards for the weekly challenge!

Here’s our inspiration for this week…it’s shabby chic!:

and here’s my card…I really don’t do much of this style, but I have before, and I always think of several techniques to use in my creations: distressed edges, pastel or light colors, and many layers.
My card for this challenge features “Eliza” by Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps, and some papers from Basic Grey’s “Serenade” collection.

I bought the trim a while ago from a local stamp store, and while I think it’s gorgeous, I’ve only used it on this and maybe one other card. I hand rolled the flowers using a scalloped rose die, and another rolled flower die. I hand cut the leaves and inked the edges.

To play along with us, all you need to do is link your project on the Drunken Stampers blog using the Linky Tool, and add your blog link, gallery link, etc.

Please add the link directly to your project (any generic blog links will be deleted from the list) and leave us a comment! (if Linky Tools isn’t working or just misbehavin’, just leave a comment with the link to your card) You have until  Friday, November 30 at 11:59 PST to post your link for this challenge!

You can check out what the other members of Team Mojito (and maybe some members of Team Flirtini) have created for this challenge by visiting the Drunken Stampers blog!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend! I didn’t get into any of the Black Friday craziness, but did a bit of window shopping online…I was hoping to see the new “Hitchcock” movie starring Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren, but it looks like it’s not playing at any of the movie theaters anywhere nearby!
Anyway, I’ll be back tomorrow with a new Christmas Card Challenge…thanks so much for stopping by!

Drunken Stampers #105: Fifty Shades of Grey

Happy Saturday, crafty friends! It’s my team’s turn again to post cards at the Drunken Stampers blog, and I’m sharing my card inspired by:
I may be one of the few ladies who hasn’t read this series of books (and I plan to keep it that way…LOL), but I was inspired to create a card with just black, white, and grey!

I used this fabulous “Lana” stamp by Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps! She’s colored in many shades of black and cool grey (I used Copic markers). To create some extra details, I added Stickles to her dress and Liquid Applique’ to her stole.

Other supplies: Spellbinders Labels 25, Oval dies, glitter tape (American Crafts), foam tape, mini brads, paper piercer, Copic multiliner, patterned paper (will update with info when I remember), Brilliance Graphite Black ink, silver pigment ink.

To play along with us, all you need to do is link your project on the Drunken Stampers blog using the Linky Tool, and add your blog link, gallery link, etc.

Drunken Stampers #101

Happy Saturday! It’s my team’s turn to post our cards for this week’s challenge at Drunken Stampers, which is to use animal print(s):

I paired some funky patterned paper with a stamp set from Unity Stamp Company, “Change is a good thing“:

I paper pieced the design on the underwear, and used some of my grey Copics on the waistband and trim. I had a hard time figuring out the layout of the underwear, and probably could have added some brads or twine, but I ended up leaving the card this way.
