Hi, everybody! I’d like to share my card for the new Tasty Tuesday challenge at Your Next Stamp!
Each month, we inspire you with a photo of goodies that Karen finds on Pinterest, and you use that photo to inspire your entry into our challenge! Whether it’s the colors, an element in the photo or something else about the photo that inspires you, we’d love to see what you create for the challenge!
Here’s my card! I chose “Cake Pop Fhiona” and replaced her cake pop with balloons that I die cut using YNS’s “Balloon Trio Die Set“. I created the sentiment with the new clear “Happy Day Sentiments” set.
And here’s our tasty inspiration photo:
For all the details on this challenge, stop by the YNS blog!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Hugs,

Whimsy and Stars Studio May Blog Hop!

Hi, everyone! It’s time for a new Design Team season at Whimsy and Stars Studio, and today we’re celebrating Mabelle’s May release with a DT showcase and blog hop! You should have arrived from Melissa‘s blog, and now you’re visiting me (Suzanne)!
This month’s new digi stamp release is “Garden Joy,” and she’s perfect for celebrating springtime and Mother’s Day!
I always think of my Mom when I color images like these…she has always been a whiz when it comes to gardening. Unfortunately, I didn’t inherit her talent, because my thumb is brown instead of green…LOL
Here’s a peek at the digi stamp:
    And here’s my card!
Be sure to leave comments for all of the blogs on today’s hop, because Mabelle will be selecting two random comments from all of the ones left on the hop for a prize, which is their choice of one digi stamp from the Whimsy and Stars Studio etsy store! Our hop runs until Wednesday, May 8 at 7PM Eastern Time, so make sure to leave all of your comments for us before then!
Since I’m the last stop on today’s hop, head over to the Whimsy and Stars Studio blog to let Mabelle know how much you enjoyed the hop, and to find out all the details on the Whimsy and Stars Studio DT Call!
And, don’t forget to visit the Whimsy and Stars Studio etsy store for more fabulous digi stamps that you’re sure to fall in love with!

Christmas Card Challenges Week 23 – Shaped Cards

Happy Sunday! I’m popping in to share a card for this week’s Christmas Card Challenge!

Our theme for this week is shaped cards, so I came up with this snow globe card:

Don’t forget, all of our challenges are optional…the only “real” rule is that you must create a new Christmas, Holiday or Hannukah card, then link it up on our blog so we can stop by and say hi!

It’s not necessary that you use a Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamp on your card, but we sure love it when you do!

Don’t forget to visit the rest of the CCC team to take a peek at the fun and festive cards they’ve created this week: AlannaCorinneJennifer, JovitaKarenKatieLeesaLorieMargoMichelePat…and our guest designer for May, Kay!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful week, and don’t forget to link your entry on the Christmas Card Challenges blog! See you there!

Hello and welcome to a special Your Next Stamp New Release Blog Hop!  Today we are introducing you to something that is “CLEARLY” awesome and so much fun, which is “CLEARLY” what YNS is all about!  So, have you figured it out yet???
Yes! Your Next Stamp is introducing a new collection called “Clearly Your Next Stamp”. These crystal-clear stamp sets are made with high quality photopolymer!  They are non-yellowing and provide a clean and crisp stamped image just like the current YNS purple rubber!
It’s so easy to get a perfect sentiment and image placement with these fabulous new sets! We’re introducing 6 fabulous and fun new clear stamp sets today and they’re available NOW in the YNS store!

The hop starts on Wendy M’s blog, and if you’ve been hopping along, then you should have arrived from Maureen’s blog.  The hop will run through Sunday, May 5th at 12 midnight (EST) We’ve also included the full hop list at the bottom of our posts just in case you need it!

Here’s what I came up with today! First, I created my own sentiment to go with “Miyuki from Japan” using the new “Skinny Font Alpha Set” (In case you don’t know the meaning of the sentiment, it’s Japanese for “thank you.”)
The layout I used is based on Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #83, so I’m also entering my card there.
Supplies: image stamp (“Miyuki from Japan” – Your Next Stamp), sentiment stamp (“Skinny Font Alpha Set” – Your Next Stamp), patterned paper (“Lucille” and “Konnichiwa” 6×6 mini pads – Basic Grey), border strip (SEI), foam tape, sewing machine, assorted Copic markers, ink (Memento Tuxedo Black).
I created this custom sentiment for “Feather Duster Ellie” with the “Happy Day Sentiments” set!

Supplies: image stamp (“Feather Duster Ellie” – Your Next Stamp), sentiment (“Happy Day Sentiments Set” – Your next Stamp, metal die (“Insta Love Polaroid Die” – Your Next Stamp), patterned paper (“Hey Girl” and “True Love” 6×6 pads – Basic Grey), assorted Copic markers, sewing machine, ink (Memento Rich Cocoa and Espresso Truffle), twine (Whisker Graphics), wood button.
As always, we have a fabulous prize hidden along the hop!  Just leave comments on all of the DT blogs for your chance to win this awesome prize pack:
Winners will be announced on the Your Next Stamp Blog on Monday, May 6th.
Karen is also offering an amazing hop special!  All Clearly Your Next Stamp Sets are 20% Off as a special intro price!!! No online coupon code required!
Now it’s time to hop on over to Susan’s blog, but don’t forget to leave a comment here before you go for your chance to win!  Thank you so much for stopping by and as always, happy hopping!

It’s Farm Fresh Friday at TGF!

Happy Friday, everybody! Thanks to everyone who stopped by and left such lovely comments on my new release blog hop post! I always love reading your comments…you made my day!
It’s time for a new Farm Fresh Friday challenge at The Greeting Farm, and this week, we’ve gone MONOCHROMATIC!
What does that mean? Basically, you use various shades of only one color (I picked yellow). You can also use a neutral like white to offset the color.

A monochromatic yellow palette might look something like this:

There are lots of variations, of course, but I thought it would help to show an example.
Here’s my card, featuring “Anya Strolls” and TGF’s “Fence Die“:
When I was putting the card together, I thought it needed some white to break up all of the yellow, so I used the “Mini Clouds Die” to bring in a pop of white.
To make the sunbeams, I first drew a pattern on cardstock that was the same size as my main panel on the card. Then I figured out where I wanted the sun to be, and drew rays from the center of the circle to the edge of the panel. I cut along the lines and traced the pieces on to my patterned paper, cut those out, erased the pencil marks, and assembled it like a puzzle.

I added machine stitching along the gingham panels to give the rays extra dimension.

So, what do you need to know to join in our challenge? Here’s the scoop:

    • You must use a TGF stamp (rubber, digi, or clear) as your main image.
    • Entries must be uploaded via InLinkz at the bottom of the challenge post on the TGF blog no later than Thursday, May 9th at NOON CST.
    • You can add a direct link to your entry from your personal blog, SCS gallery, Flickr or TGF galleria. (If the InLinkz tool is missing, feel free to link your submission URL in the comment section!)
    • The fabulous prize: A random participant will be selected to win their choice of an in-stock SINGLE RUBBER STAMP or a 4×6 set!
Don’t forget, there’s still time to enter our Retro-Fresh challenge (polka dots and/or plaid)! Check out the challenge post for all the details!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

    Hugs,

    Hugs,

    It’s a fence-tastic Tuesday at TGF!

Hi, everybody! It’s our last day of May previews at The Greeting Farm, and today, I have some fence-tastic cards to show you…along with a preview of our new fence die!

I chose to do two cards…one with each new Anya and the fence die. It’s a great way to build a scene on your cards and projects!

Here’s my first card with “Anya Strolls”!
TGF supplies: “Anya Strolls” stamp set, TGF Fence Die. Other supplies: patterned paper (“Kneehighs” 6×6 pad – Basic Grey; yellow polka dot paper is a scrap from my stash), assorted Copic markers, ink (Memento Tuxedo Black, Espresso Truffle), butterfly accent (Pink Paislee).
I added the butterfly accent from my stash because I thought it would be good for the puppy to have something to look at, and to chase later!
For my second card, I chose “Garden Anya” and made space behind the fence die for a little pocket, which is also a great place to add a gift card!

I also used TGF’s cloud die and flower die to help accent the scene, and I used an embossing folder to make the woodgrain pattern in the fence. I just inserted the die cut into the folder and ran it through the machine!

TGF supplies: “Mini Cloud Die“, “Mini Fleur Stamps and Die“, “Garden Anya”. Other supplies: patterned paper (“Green at Heart” 6×6 mini pad – Basic Grey), assorted Copic markers, embossing folder (Sizzix/Tim Holtz), sewing machine, kraft cardstock, ink (“Melon Mambo” – Stampin’ Up, “Northern Pine” and “Tuxedo Black” Tsukineko Memento), gift card.

So, what do you think? All of our new dies and stamps will be available TOMORROW in the TGF Store! Be sure to join us for our DT blog hop tomorrow, where we’ll show you some more fun possibilities with our new release!
And, one lucky reader/commenter will win their very own fence die! Just comment here and on the TGF blog and we’ll draw a random winner!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful day!
    Hugs,
