It’s Garden Variety Tuesday at The Greeting Farm!

Hi, crafty friends of TGF! I’m sharing my card for the new Garden Variety Tuesday challenge at The Greeting Farm’s blog! We have a sketch for you this week, courtesy of  DT member Maria Therese!
Here’s my take! I like finding new ways to use my dies, and here’s another way to use the Onesie Die…as a T-shirt! (I just cut the bottom of the onesie off and stamped the cupcake from the “Mini Cupcakes” set to decorate the shirt.
For your creative reference, here’s our challenge sketch:
Here’s what you need to know to join in our Garden Variety Tuesday challenge:

Going Retro Fresh with The Greeting Farm!

Hello crafty friends! I am so glad you stopped by today!
It’s my team’s turn to post for this month’s Retro Fresh challenge at The Greeting Farm, and we’re loving layers!
I’m featuring “Boho Anya” on today’s card. I picked her up during the last impromptu sale at TGF. I thought her layers of clothes would coordinate well with many different patterned papers and the theme of this challenge!
TGF supplies: “Boho Anya” stamp, sentiment from “Lovey Dovey” set; paper (“Random” 6×6 paper pad – Crate Paper), lace trim, sewing machine, assorted Copic markers, watermark ink, white embossing powder, adhesive rhinestones.
Here’s the scoop on playing along with our Retro Fresh Challenge:
  • Enter a card, scrapbook layout, or 3-D project using a TGF stamp 6 months or older. (For a list of stamps by release, click HERE).
  • Upload your creation to SCS, your blog, or any online gallery and use the InLinkz tool at the bottom of this challenge’s post at the TGF blog to submit a direct link to your creation.
  • You have until TUESDAY, July 9th, 2013 at NOON CST to enter, so you have ALL month to play along. One random winner will receive their choice of ONE 4×6 *rubber or clear* stamp set and ONE single stamp... how SWEET is that?!
Thanks again for stopping by today! We can’t wait to see your retro-fresh TGF creations…see you at the TGF blog!
Hugs,

Stalking Into Summer with the Grim Creeper!

Summer is almost here, and one of my favorite “guilty pleasure” TV shows returns tonight with all new episodes…”Pretty Little Liars.” Here’s a quick summary, in case you’re not familiar with the show.

The show is based on a group of four friends (Aria, Spencer, Emily and Hannah) who are friends with Allison, a not-so-nice and the most popular girl at Rosewood High School. During the friends’ sleepover party, Allison disappears. A year later, her body is found, but it’s unclear how she died. The four friends come together to attend Allison’s funeral, and begin receiving text messages from someone named “A”, who seems to know their deepest, darkest secrets.

Because it’s one of the shows my crafting besties and I watch and chat about, we came up with ideas for “stalker sentiments” on one of our very, very late night crafty chats.
The idea behind these cards is to subtly surprise and creep you out, not to offend. We all understand how important it is to be aware of your surroundings and if there is actual trouble, please get help from someone.

We had our first “Grim Creeper” hop on Halloween, and our second hop on Valentine’s Day. This time, we wanted to share some more cards with you as summer begins with another blog hop!
I have three cards to share with you! They all feature some free retro photos I found online and each has a “stalker sentiment” from our ever-growing list. I added the inside sentiment at the bottom of each card photo.

Side note: I chose this photo because I found it odd that the guy is chatting up the girl while holding up a switchblade.

Your next stop on our “Grim Creeper” hop is Shaela’s blog! (You can find the full list of hop participants at the bottom of my post!)

Thanks for stopping by! I’d love to hear from you! I read all of the comments that y’all leave for me…and if you have any questions about my these or any of my cards, I’ll definitely answer them!

(non-creepy) hugs,

TGF Garden Variety Tuesday – Make It Girly!

Happy Tuesday, everybody! Hope your week is going well so far!

It’s time for a new Garden Variety Tuesday at The Greeting Farm, and we’re getting girly with our creations this week!

I’m featuring “Winky Bean” on my card, and added the girly elements of pink, glitter, pink glitter, pink ribbon, some fancy trim, flowery prints and sewing! Oh, and I threw some rhinestones in there, too!

TGF image stamp: “Winky Bean; Other supplies: paper from “Mint Julep” 6×6 pad – Basic Grey.

I would have added flowers, too, but since the image already has some in it, I just added some Stickles to the centers.

Here’s the scoop on our Garden Variety Tuesday challenge:

  • You must use a TGF stamp (rubber, digi, or clear) as your main image.
  • Entries must be uploaded via the InLinkz tool on the TGF blog at the bottom of the post no later than Monday, June 17th at NOON CST. You can add a direct link to your entry from your personal blog, SCS gallery, Flickr or TGF galleria. (If the InLinkz tool is missing, feel free to link your submission URL in a comment.)
  • The fabulous prize: A random participant will be selected to win a digital image of choice from the TGF store.
  • But, WAIT! Each week, our friends have the opportunity to DOUBLE that prize to either two digis or, you can trade those two digis for a SINGLE rubber stamp of choice, as long as we have 20 or more players each week, so encourage all your friends and family to play along!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Mojo Monday on Sunday!

Hi, everybody! Hope you had a great weekend, and are managing to sneak in some crafty time along the way!

Yesterday, we went out for breakfast and ran a few errands, and today was fairly low-key. We finished going through boxes in one of our spare bedrooms and are down to one and a half rooms that need to be sorted through. YAY!

I still have a few things I’d like to do to set up my craft room, but those will come around eventually. I painted my pegboard and hope to get it up on the wall this week.

In the meantime, I’m stopping in to share my card for Mojo Monday #296. I’ve wanted to play along for some time, but never seemed to get around to it. I’m happy to have a card to share with you today!

Supplies: image stamps (“Saturday” and “Blush Crown” – The Greeting Farm), sentiment stamp (Paper Smooches), papers (“Clippings” 6×6 pad – Basice Grey), assorted Copic markers, silver pigment ink, Memento Rich Cocoa ink, clear embossing powder, brads, jute twine, button, sewing machine.
Scott’s birthday is coming up soon, and I’m not sure if I’ll give him this card or make another before then.
My card is a little different from the original sketch. I flipped the strip of paper with the brads so they’re on the right side instead of the left, and added some jute twine and a button along the bottom. Here’s the original Mojo Monday sketch for your reference:
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you have a wonderful week!
Hugs,

A new round of challenges at Your Next Stamp!

Happy Friday, everybody! It’s been a fast but crazy week here, and I hope you’re ready for a new Fun Friday challenge at Your Next Stamp!
We’re mixing things up and have re-launched the YNS Challenge blog, and are starting things off with a new type of challenge!
Each month, we’ll provide a sketch and an inspiration photo. You choose one (or both) on which to base your entry…the challenge will run for the entire month, and different DT members will be sharing how they’re inspired by the challenge each Friday!
I chose both the sketch AND the inspiration photo for my card. I pulled the strawberries, the polka dots, and the colors from the photo, and I’m featuring Darling Diva “Summer” on my card:
YNS Supplies: image stamp ( Darling Diva “Summer”), sentiment stamp (“Ellie Loves Lattes”), banner stamp (“Skinny Alpha Font Set”); Other supplies: designer paper (“Nook & Pantry” 6×6 pad – RETIRED – Basic Grey), assorted Copic markers, sewing machine, paper flower, button, twine, ink (Memento Tuxedo Black, SU Gumball Green).
Here are the inspiration photo and sketch (you can click on each picture to see a larger version):

So, here’s the scoop on how the new challenge works:
  • On the first Friday of each month, we’ll post a new challenge for you to follow, and the chance to win YOUR NEXT STAMP prizes and GUEST DESIGNER spots here at YNS!
  • Our SKETCH and PHOTO INSPIRATION challenge runs for an entire month, so for added inspiration, we will be adding new cards & creations from the YNS Design Team EVERY Friday so be sure to stop by every week and join in the FUN!
  • We would love to see you create a card using a YOUR NEXT STAMP stamp, but we also welcome projects made with other stamps. If you do use a YOUR NEXT STAMP stamp or die, your project just might be selected as our TOP PICK!
