The Grim Creeper Returns…Again!

Happy Halloween, everybody! I won’t be getting any little ghouls or goblins ready for trick or treating tonight, but I wanted to share some fun (and delightfully creepy) cards with you!

This is the fourth time we’ve done a Grim Creeper event. If you want to check out the other hops we’ve done, click HERE.

I have two cards today. Both were made with free retro photos that I found online. I just picked a couple for my cards, and paired each photo with a creepy sentiment. I love that they pay tribute to shows like “Alfred Hitchcock Presents” and “The Twilight Zone”.

Here’s card #1:

Here’s card #2:

And here’s a closer look at the creepy twist:

I changed the word on the seed packets from “Beets” to “Betty,” and added a face from another retro photo to the packet.

My friend Sparkle also has a Grim Creeper card to share, so pop by her blog to check it out!

Thanks for stopping by!

It’s sneak peek day at TGF!

Hi, everybody! I feel like the month of October just FLEW by! I can’t believe it’s time to start the November release previews at The Greeting Farm!

We’re kicking off our previews with a new mixed media set named “My Heart” and I’ve made two projects to share with you today. My first project is an altered 5×7 canvas:

There are lots of stamps in this set, so there are lots of possibilities for your creative projects! I made a chalkboard-styled display piece for my second project.

If you’d like to win this set, visit the blogs of the designers participating in today’s sneak peek (Annie RoseJodiRachel and ME)! Make sure to leave a comment on each blog. Then, visit the TGF blog to let us know you’ve visited all of the blogs and that you left a comment for each designer!

The winner will be announced on the TGF blog on the post for our final October preview, which will be on Wednesday the 30th. You have until 11:45 PM Central Time tonight to enter. This set and two more new stamp sets will be available in the TGF store on November 1!

Also, don’t forget that you still have time to enter our “Alter Ego” contest! Check out the TGF blog for all the details, and make sure you link up your entry before 11:45 PM on October 31! There’s a TGF Guest Designer spot up for grabs, so don’t miss out!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Who will be your alter ego?

Hi, everybody! Today, I’m sharing some news about some changes to our contests at The Greeting Farm!
First of all, beginning in November, we’re discontinuing the Retro Fresh challenge and Garden Variety Tuesdays (GVT), but have no fear, a new FUN contest will take place quarterly such as the one we’re about to announce today. We’re still continuing the Farm Fresh Friday challenges, so there will still be plenty of fun on the Farm!
We’re also excited to announce another customer-wide blog hop opportunity for the holidays. Be sure to stay tuned for info on the hop after the November 1 release!
Without further delay, we present a new contest:
How FUN is this going to be?   We know there are a lot of you creative crafters out there who do amazing things with TGF stamps, and sometimes you kick it up a notch or two by switching heads, bodies, clothes, etc. With Halloween coming up,  we thought it was the perfect time for a contest, so here’s your chance to mix up your TGF images to WIN a prize!
For my card, I combined CC Saturday‘s head with CC Dante‘s body:

So, what do you need to know to join in the fun and possibly win a prize? Let’s start with the rules:
  • You MUST use at least two (2) TGF stamps to create your character.
  • You must create a NEW project. You can create a card, altered project, or whatever you’d like.
So, what’s the PRIZE
Don’t lose your head, but the winner will receive their choice of two (2) 4×6 stamp sets  AND a GUEST DESIGNER SPOT at The Greeting Farm!
We’re changing the way we choose our Guest Designers as of November, so we can give even more talented TGF fans a chance to showcase their work.  Guest spots will now consist of 1-2 features a month on the TGF blog and will give LOTS of creative freedom to the designer, so believe me, you’ll want to show us what you’ve got!
When is the deadline?
The In Linkz tool will open at the TGF blog on Thursday, October 24 (the second day of our DT preview).  You have until 11:00 pm Central Time on Thursday, October 31 (Halloween!) to create your “Alter Ego” and upload it to the TGF blog The contest winner will be announced on RELEASE DAY, November 1st!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! We can’t wait to see who YOUR “Alter-EGO” will be!

TGF Garden Variety Tuesday: Halloween Colors!

Hi, Friends of the Farm! It’s time for a new Garden Variety Tuesday challenge at The Greeting Farm!
This week, we’re inspired by Halloween colors, so I’m featuring the “Hallobean” digi stamp and the TGF Fence Die on today’s card:
I love that Halloween papers now feature more colors than the traditional orange and black. The pops of purple, blue, and green on some of the newer collections make them usable all year long!
No tricks here, but there are are a few things you’ll need to know to play along with our challenge:
  • You must use a TGF stamp (rubber, digi, or clear) as your main image.
  • Entries must be uploaded via the InLinkz tool on the TGF blog at the bottom of the post no later than Monday, October 28th at NOON CST. You can add a direct link to your entry from your personal blog, SCS gallery, Flickr or TGF galleria. (If the InLinkz tool is missing, feel free to link your submission URL in a comment.)
  • The fabulous prize: A random participant will be selected to win a digital image of choice from the TGF store.
  • But, WAIT! Each week, our friends have the opportunity to DOUBLE that prize to either two digis or, you can trade those two digis for a SINGLE rubber stamp of choice, as long as we have 20 or more players each week, so encourage all your friends and family to play along!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you’re having a wonderful week so far!

Hugs,

Farm Fresh Friday at TGF: Anything But a Card!

Happy Friday, everybody! Hope you’ve had a great week and are ready for a new challenge at The Greeting Farm! Today, we’re challenging you to make “Anything But a Card”! (And that was a challenge for me!)

After much brainstorming, I decided to alter this mini notepad, and I love the end result! I’m thinking of doing a tutorial on this one, because it’s a great little holiday gift or stocking stuffer that I’m sure anyone could make! And, of course, “Holiday Anya 3” is on the cover!

The sentiment I used on the notepad cover is from TGF’s “I Heart Sweaters” set. I masked the word “heart” and used the rest of the sentiment, substituting a small punched heart shape for the missing word.

Here’s the scoop on playing along with this and all of our Farm Fresh Friday challenges:
  • You must use a TGF stamp (rubber, digi, or clear) as your main image.
  • Entries must be uploaded via InLinkz no later than Thursday, October 24th at NOON CST
  • You can add a direct link to your entry from your personal blog, SCS gallery, Flickr or TGF galleria. (If the InLinkz tool is missing, feel free to link your submission URL in the comment section!)
  • The fabulous prize: A random participant will be selected to win their choice of an in-stock SINGLE RUBBER STAMP or a 4×6 set!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulously creative weekend!

Hugs,
