The new digis at Some Odd Girl Stamps are ready for their close-up!

Hi, everybody! I hope you’re ready for some new Some Odd Girl digi stamps, because I have two cards to share with you today! We’re continuing our “portrait” theme for this month’s releases, and I know you’re going to love these! Both of the new stamps are available in the Some Odd Girl Store right now!
First up is “Coffee Piper,” paired with a sentiment from the “Sweater Kaylee” clear stamp set:
If you’re looking for a gal who’s retro glam, you’ve found her! “Beehive Mae” is the perfect example of fabulous, and I think that Sunshine Sorbet papers are a fabulous choice for this card! The sentiment is from the brand new “Wink Mae” clear stamp set.

You’ll find more inspiration with “Coffee Piper” and “Beehive Mae” at the Some Odd Girl blog!
I had a post on the Some Odd Girl blog yesterday with some inspiration on making this mini note card set with the Sunshine Sorbet 6×6 pad and the new “Garden Gwen” clear stamp set:
I’d love it if you stopped by the Some Odd Girl blog to check out my project! Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Hope you’re having a wonderful week so far!

Garden Gwen is blooming gorgeous!

Happy Tuesday, Oddies! Welcome back for the second day of the clear stamp release at Some Odd Girl Stamps! My project for today is a tag featuring “Garden Gwen“!

I fussy cut the top part of Gwen and layered her over the top of the frame. Because the patterned paper I chose was sort of “busy”, I layered a sheet of vellum on top to soften the colors and design. I finished the tag with a gold heat-embossed sentiment, Blue Bamboo Twine, and a border punch strip of some Sunshine Sorbet paper.

Wink Mae is fabulous (and new) in the Some Odd Girl Stamps Store!

Happy Monday, Oddies! It’s a new month and that means it’s time for another clear stamp release at Some Odd Girl Stamps! We have a portrait theme this month with our two new clear stamp sets (and you’ll see the theme carried through in this month’s digi stamp releases, too!), and we’re starting things off with “Wink Mae“!

I stamped the frame twice: once for “Wink Mae“, and again for the sentiment. You’ll also notice that I chose some Odds & Ends for my embellishments: the Orange Bamboo Twine, Pink Bamboo Twine, and Sorbet Sequins. The orange wood grain patterned paper is from the Sunshine Sorbet 6×6 paper pad.

I’ll be back tomorrow with a new project and the second new clear stamp set in Some Odd Girl Stamps’ October release, and it’s portrait perfect! Make sure to stop by the Some Odd Girl blog for more inspiration with Wink Mae

YEEHAW! Cowboy Kody is riding in to the Some Odd Girl store!

Well howdy, everybody! There’s a new cowpoke in town, and he’s riding in to the Some Odd Girl store today! I’m much obliged to share a card that I made with “Cowboy Kody.”
I mixed and matched some retired patterned papers from my stash, and made a custom sentiment by cutting apart some label stickers. I also added some texture to the woodgrain paper with an embossing folder.
Don’t forget to join our blog hop, which runs until October 31st at midnight Eastern, and we’ll announce the winners chosen from the comments left on each participating blog in the hop on the Some Odd Girl blog on Monday, November 3rd. Look at the “treats” you could win!

It’s New Digi Tuesday at Some Odd Girl Stamps!

Hi, everybody! It’s time for new digi stamps and cut files to hit the Some Odd Girl Stamps store!
You’ll find two new digital stamps (“Bandit Wizard” and “TRex“) and two new cut files (“Forest Fold Card” and “Loopy Sentiments vol. 3“) in the store today. My card features “Bandit Wizard“, an adorable critter who will cast a spell on you!
I chose retro sketches #133 for my layout. Because we make our cards a few weeks in advance of each post, I wasn’t able to enter this card in the challenge, but I thought you’d like to see the inspiration behind my design.
I changed a few things for my layout, like the placement of the buttons and sentiment, and added some twine, but the basic idea’s the same.
Have you sent in your entries for Some Odd Girl Stamps’ “Digi Me” contest? There are only a few days left to get your ideas submitted, and you can find all the details at the Some Odd Girl blog!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you had a wonderful weekend and that your week is off to a great start!

Lawnscaping Facebook Inspiration Team Challenge!

Hi, everybody! I have a few cards to share today featuring Lawn Fawn stamps and papers for the design team call for the Lawnscaping Challenge’s Facebook Inspiration Team.
I’ve been participating in the challenges at the Lawnscaping Challenge blog for a while now, and thought it would be fun to try out for the team!
For my first card, I combined stamps from Lawn Fawn’s “Critters in the Arctic” and “Love You A Latte” sets with papers from the “Snow Day” and “Peace Joy Love” petite paper pads. The walrus’s scarf is from the “Winter Owl” set, and the coffee cup is from the “Winter Fox” set.
My second card is a different take on the moose in the “Critters in the Arctic” set. I dressed him up for Halloween with some props in the “Spooktacular” set. And, there’s no way he’s going trick or treating with just one treat bag, so I gave him five!
My third card is inspired by an idea I had to combine one of the sentiments from the “Science of Love” set with some other stamp sets to make a “punny” Halloween card.
I stamped the back of one of the cookies in the “Milk and Cookies” set with watermark ink on vellum and heat-embossed them with opaque white powder. To make the other parts, I used a circle punch and a regular hole punch on some paper scraps.
The jar is from the “Summertime Charm” set and the tag sentiment is from the “Spooktacular” set. The chevron paper is from a retired Lawn Fawn paper pad.
Hope you enjoyed checking out my cards today! I hope you’ll be inspired to mix and match some of your stamp sets to make something new!
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you’ll get some crafty time to make something fun over the weekend!

Make a scene with the new cut file at Some Odd Girl Stamps!

Hi, everybody! It’s new digi Tuesday at Some Odd Girl Stamps, and I’m sharing a project that I made with the new “Princess Castle” cut file!
In addition to the shaped card file, there’s a castle digi stamp to help you set up the scene! I added the stone path with some paper scraps and drew in the stones with a Copic marker.
I thought it would be cool to color Knight Kody and add him to the card. He could either be heading in to save the princess or heading home after a quest!
For more inspiration with today’s new release, stop by the Some Odd Girl blog and see what our special guest and the other Odd Girls made with this cut file, the two new digis and a sentiment pack!
Don’t forget, there’s still time to send in your entries for Some Odd Girl Stamps’ “Digi Me” contest! You can find all the details at the Some Odd Girl blog!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you had a wonderful weekend and your week is off to a great start!

Two challenges, one card!

Hi, everybody! I’m playing along with the current Lawnscaping challenge, which is to use patterned paper on your project.

I used papers from Lawn Fawn’s retired “Into the Woods” and “Bright Side” petite paper packs and the new “Love You a Latte” clear stamp set for my card.
For all of the details on this challenge, or to link up your entry before the deadline (Wednesday, October 15), stop by the Lawnscaping Challenge blog
I’m also entering my card in the current challenge at retro sketches. This week’s challenge is to pick one of your favorite sketches from the retro sketch archives to inspire your entry. I chose retro sketch #86. Here’s a look at that sketch:
For information on either (or both) of these challenges, stop by the Lawnscaping and retro sketches blogs! Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope your week is going well so far!

A Doggone Cute Piper Stamp at Some Odd Girl!

Hi, everybody! I’m back for Day 2 of the October clear release at Some Odd Girl Stamps! Since yesterday’s “Cat Lady Kaylee” set was for the cat lovers, today goes to the dogs with “Walk the Dog Piper“!

I thought it would be fun to add some of the Hexie Dots wood veneers to my card. They add just the right pop of dimension and tie in to the paper I used.

Make sure to visit the Some Odd Girl blog for more inspiration with “Walk the Dog Piper“!

Do you love Pinterest? We do, too! In fact, we love it so much that Some Odd Girl Stamps has a special Pinterest board for Oddies to pin their latest creations! Click HERE to visit the board, and head HERE for all the details on how to be added to the board!
