colourQ #36

There were some colors in this week’s colourQ that I’ve never really worked with before. It’s a great color combination, and you should play along, too!
For this card, I used the “Forest Friends” stamp set and a mini flower stamp from the “One of a Kind” set. Both sets are from Stampin’ Up!, as well as the Chocolate Chip ink that I used.
All of the cardstock I used is from Stampin’ Up! I stamped the flower background on a strip of So Saffron. The patterned paper is from KaiserCraft’s Peachy Keen collection. I’m not sure about the manufacturer of the sentiment sticker; I got it free with a special issue of Paper Crafts magazine.

Unscripted Sketches #58

I saved Unscripted Sketches as the last in my batch of updates, because I’ve got great news! I was one of several Facebook fans who were asked to be future guest designers for the site!
I’m so excited about it!!! It’s a fabulous opportunity and I can’t wait to see the sketch I’ll be working with!

Here’s the latest sketch from Unscripted. I had a lot of fun working with this one! I flipped it to make my card.

I used paper from Pink Paislee and Glitz Design. The shoe and sentiment stamps are part of a Fiskars clear set that I bought on sale at JoAnn. The blingy buckle was part of a clearance embellishment set (JoAnn brand).

I colored in the images with Stardust and Glaze pens and used SU Basic Black to stamp them. I think the brads I used are by Making Memories. The cardstock is from Stampin’ Up!

I’m really happy with this card, and I’m looking forward to working with more Unscripted Sketches! Thanks so much for looking!

CPS #170

Next is my card for Card Positioning Systems latest sketch challenge (#170). Here’s the sketch:

For my card, I used another stamp from the “Of the Earth” set, and a stamp from the “One of a Kind” set for the sentiment. I used Soft Suede and Old Olive SU! inks, KaiserCraft paper from the Peachy Keen collection and kraft cardstock for the base. The ribbon I used is from American Crafts.

Get Sketchy #41

It’s time again for my weekly card challenge posts, and I’m starting with Get Sketchy:

For my card, I used papers from Bo Bunny’s Sophie Collection and Stampin’ Up! ink in Melon Mambo, and stamps from SU’s “One of a Kind” set. The orange cardstock is by Die Cuts with a View, and the rest is Stampin’ Up. I wrapped some ribbon around the card to make the starburst effect in the sketch.

Great challenge sketch this week! As a side note, I’ve been asked what I use as a pedestal for my cards… It’s a container from some Prima flowers that I bought a while ago!

CPS #169

I rotated this week’s CPS sketch (#169) to make a masculine thank you card. It could also be used as a Father’s Day card with the right sentiment inside.

Here’s the CPS sketch:

and this is the card I made!
I used Bo Bunny’s Mamarazzi collection and Paper Loft’s Dude collection for this card. The screw brads are by Karen Foster, and the letter stickers are by October Afternoon and Cosmo Cricket.
Thank YOU for looking at my card!

Unscripted Sketches #57

For this week’s Unscripted Sketches challenge, I had a hard time deciding what stamps to use, but I eventually picked two from Imaginisce’s “Scooter’s Vacation” collection.

Here’s the latest Unscripted Sketch:

and this is my card!
I used papers from Sassafrass, Chocolate Chip and Soft Suede ink from Stampin’ Up!, Tangerine chalk ink from Colorbox, cardstock from Core’dinations, ribbon from American Crafts, letter stickers by Making Memories, and Glaze pens to color in the stamped images.

Get Sketchy #40

There’s a double challenge with this week’s Get Sketchy inspiration; to use the sketch below and to make a Father’s Day card.

I used papers by Bo Bunny (Mamarazzi collection) and Paper Loft’s Dude collection for my card. The stamp is from Crafty Secrets’ “Favorite Fellas” collection. I stamped the shoe background in Chocolate Chip, then stamped the shoes again in Basic Black and popped them up with a foam square. I used Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type stickers for the sentiment.

Curtain Call – Act 31

This week’s Curtain Call was a tough one for me; there were several pastels in the inspiration colors…and then I was stumped about how to incorporate the green and navy:

This is the card I finally came up with…

The patterned paper is from Pink Paislee, and the cardstock is from Stampin’ Up. The suitcase stamp is by Imaginisce. The map background is Heidi Swapp tape that I found on clearance at Michael’s. The letter stickers are from Making Memories.

colourQ #34

For this week’s colourQ, I used some more of my Crafty Secrets stamps to create my card. Here’s the color inspiration:
I used the coffee cup stamps and the sentiment from Crafty Secrets’ “Coffee & Tea” Art Stamps set. The patterned paper is from Pink Paislee and the cardstock is Stampin’ Up and Core’dinations.
The ribbon is from Creative Impressions. I used Chocolate Chip and Brilliant Blue inks by Stampin’ Up for my images and sentiment.
