Snow Fun Tia is NEW at Some Odd Girl!

Hi, everybody! As temperatures are getting warmer, and the snow is starting to thaw, we’re wrapping up winter this month at Some Odd Girl stamps with a new digi release!
Snow Fun Tia is the first of two new digis being released this month at Some Odd Girl. I made a card with her today, but I bet she’d be a perfect accent on any scrapbooking layouts you’re planning using your winter photos!
I made the snow effect with white Liquid Applique’, which puffs up when you use a heat tool. I like that it gives a little touch of dimension to snowy scenes.
For more inspiration with Snow Fun Tia, stop by the Some Odd Girl blog, and make sure to join us in our Facebook community for more ODD fun!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you’re having a wonderful week!

It MOOSE be Lawn Fawn’s 5th Birthday!

Hi, everybody! I’m joining a few crafty friends today to wish Lawn Fawn a happy 5th birthday!
You may have arrived from Sharna‘s blog, but in case you’re starting here and want to go back to the start of the hop, you’ll find the full hop list at Jenn‘s blog!
One of the many things I love about Lawn Fawn stamps is the ability to mix up the different sets and create different combinations! Since today’s hop is birthday themed, I thought it would be fun to get the moose from Critters in the Arctic dressed up for a party!
I started by stamping the party hat, then masked it off and stamped the moose. Then, I made masks for the moose’s antlers and stamped the balloons from the Year Four set. I used a black multiliner pen to “tie” the balloons to the antlers.
Then, I colored the images to match the Into the Woods petite paper pad and stamped up a custom sentiment with a few of my Lawn Fawn sets. You can find a full list of the supplies that I used at the bottom of my post.
Your next stop on the hop is Roxanne‘s blog! Thank you so much for stopping by today! Happy hopping!

Lawnscaping Challenge Blog: A fresh take on some Lawn Fawn favorites!

Hi, everybody! It’s time for my monthly post at Lawnscaping Challenges, and I’m taking a fresh look at some of my Lawn Fawn stamps and have some sweet cards to share!

I made this quick love-themed card with the twin popsicle from Here’s The Scoop:

As you can see, the face on the popsicle is in the middle of the image. After stamping, coloring and paper piecing, I cut it down the middle to make two popsicles in love:

My second card is a little sneakier. I used the outline scoop from Here’s The Scoop and the chopstick from Let’s Roll to make a popcorn-themed hello card:

There’s still time to play along with the current Dots and Stripes challenge at the Lawnscaping blog. To link your entry and get all the details on the challenge, click here. There’s an Ellen Hutson gift certificate up for grabs for one lucky winner!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope your week is off to a wonderful start! I’d love it if you stopped by the Lawnscaping blog today to say hello!

Anybody who loves a geeky guy will love today’s new stamp set, “Nerdy Kody.” Although my geeky guy doesn’t wear glasses any more, he’s still an avid gamer and a computer network administrator, so I think he’d get a kick out of this set! Here’s my take:

Lawnscaping Challenge #101: Dots and Stripes

Hi, everybody! Thanks for visiting and for all of the comments you left on the Lawnscaping Facebook Inspiration Team’s February blog hop! It warms my heart to see that you liked my card!

It’s the first Monday of the month, so there’s a new challenge up at the Lawnscaping blog! Our theme for this challenge is “Dots and Stripes”, and here’s my take:

After attaching some Let’s Polka paper behind the white card stock to jazz up the die cut word, I placed the smaller pieces cut from inside the letters back in their right spots.

To line everything up, I put the die cut word back into place on the white card stock. Then, it was easy to adhere the smaller pieces back in place like a jigsaw puzzle! After all the smaller pieces were back in place, I removed the die cut word.

This week’s challenge is sponsored by Ellen Hutson, a super site to find all of the latest stamping supplies!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope your week is off to a great start! Make sure you link up your entry for Lawnscaping Challenge #101 at the Lawnscaping blog!

I’ll be back on the Lawnscaping blog next Monday with a new project for my monthly post there, and I hope you’ll come by to say hello!

Lawnscaping Inspiration February Blog Hop!

It’s the last Friday of the month, so that means it’s time for the Lawnscaping Challenge Facebook Inspiration Team’s (FIT) Monthly Blog Hop! You’ve probably arrived from Marina‘s blog, but in case you’re starting here, you’ll find the full hop list at the bottom of my post!

This month’s hop is being sponsored by The Ink RoadBe sure to visit The Ink Road and Lara’s blog! We’ll be picking a winner from all of the comments left on our hop to receive a gift certificate to The Ink Road!

This month, the FIT is inspired by reds, so I made this fun card featuring stamps from Lawn Fawn’s “Love You A Latte” and made my own sentiment with the “Milo’s ABC’s” set. The papers are from Lawn Fawn‘s “Snow Day” petite paper pack. I embellished the card with some heart-shaped brads and some Peppermint Lawn Trimmings twine.

Here’s our full blog hop order:
Suzanne – you’re here!

Before you continue the hop at Yukari‘s blog, be sure to leave a comment for me so you can increase your chance of being the lucky winner of a gift certificate to The Ink Road!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you’re enjoying all of the inspiration in today’s hop and are going to have some time to craft this weekend!

Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

Hi, everybody! Since I had so much fun participating in the Coffee Lovers Blog Hops in September and December, I’m joining in the fun again with the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop that’s kicking off today! So, grab a cup of your favorite coffee, tea, or cocoa, and get ready for some caffeinated inspiration!
I have to tell you that I am so ready for Spring to get here (I’m sure you are, too)! When I thought about what I would make for the hop, I made sure that bright colors were part of my card to remind me that warmer weather should be on the way soon!
I made some patterned paper with Sweet Stamp Shop’s Coffee Town set and colored it with Copics to match the paper. I combined stamps from the Coffee Town and the Guac Love sets to make a custom sentiment.
Many thanks to the crew at Coffee Loving Cardmakers for graciously organizing and hosting the hop and working so hard to get everything ready! You can find all of the details and the full list of blogs in today’s hop at Coffee Loving Cardmakers, including the prize lists from all of the super sponsors and the flash sponsors, who are donating prizes to give away during and after the hop!

The hop starts today and runs until Friday, March 6th at 11:55 p.m. PacificMake sure you leave a comment before you hop to the next blog, because there are prizes for a few lucky participants who leave comments on ALL of the blogs! For the full details, and the full hop list, stop by Coffee Loving Cardmakers!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Don’t forget to leave a comment here before you hop to the next blog! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Just Hangin Around with Tobie!

Hi, everybody! Today’s new digi at Some Odd Girl Stamps is the last one based on the winning Digi Me contest entries. “Hanging Around Tobie” was an idea submitted by Krystal Edmond. Here’s my take:
This digi was lots of fun to color, and I found that flipping the image while coloring helped to get the shadows in places where they made sense.
You can check out the inspiration behind the digi and find out what our guest Krystal and the rest of the DT made with Hanging Around Tobie at the Some Odd Girl blog!

Kraftin Kimmie Stamps Krafty Friends Blog Hop

Hi, everybody! I’m so excited to be part of the first ever Krafty Friends Blog Hop featuring Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps’ Krafty Friends! The blog hop is filled with creations by customers (like me), design team members and friends of KKS and we’re so excited to share some of our creations!

My card for the hop features “Tabitha,” designed by Annie Rodrigue!

I love purple, but I don’t use it a lot in my crafting. I challenged myself to color Tabitha in shades of purple, and matched my coloring to the paper pad I planned to use (Basic Grey’s Aurora).

Feel free to start the hop from the beginning at the Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps Blog, then hop around and check out all the fabulous designs! Be sure to leave a comment at each stop because there will be prizes and giveaways to some random commenters!

Not only can you comment to win, you can JOIN the blog hop by posting your own design! Just link up a new creation featuring a Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamp to the main blog post and you’ll not only be a part of this fun hop, but you’ll be entered to WIN more goodies!!

You have until February 28th to comment on all of the participants’ blogs (including mine) and to link up your design!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope your week is off to a great start! Happy hopping!
