Drunken Stampers: It’s a SUPER challenge this week!

Ka-pow! Zap! Crash!
This week’s Drunken Stampers challenge is powerfully super…we’re inspired by SUPERHEROES!
I found this super-cool free Waltzingmouse “Spider Henry”digi stamp at Katharina Frei’s blog, and thought it would be perfect for my card:
Supplies: patterned papers, wood button (Basic Grey “Shine On” collection), yellow striped paper (Echo Park Dots & Stripes), twine (Trendy Twine – “Berries Jubilee“),  Spellbinders hexagon die, Copic markers, resin dots (My Mind’s Eye), sentiment stamp (PaperTrey Ink), kraft, white card stock (PaperTrey Ink).

To play along with our challenge, here’s what you need to know:

  • For this term, our challenges are focused on movies and it will be an EITHER-OR-BOTH challenge. You can EITHER use the movie in the title as inspiration OR use the suggested theme or item. You may want to even kick it up a notch and use BOTH! We can’t wait to see your creativity with these challenges!
  • When you have finished your card or project, visit the Drunken Stampers blog and add your blog link, gallery link, etc. using the InLinkz tool at the bottom of the challenge post.
  • Please add the link directly to your project (any generic blog links will be deleted from the list) then please leave us a comment to let us know. (If InLinkz isn’t working or is just misbehaving, please leave a comment at the bottom of the challenge post with the direct link to your card)
  • You have until Friday, March 1 at 11:59pm PST to post your link for this challenge.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Visit the Drunken Stampers blog to see what the rest of the “Bahama Mamas” created for this challenge! We can’t wait to see what you’ll create!

CCC #7 – Silhouettes

Happy Sunday, crafty friends! It’s time for a new Christmas Card Challenge! This week, we’re inspired by the elegance of silhouettes!

Here’s my card:

Supplies: image stamp (“Nordic Spring” – Waltzingmouse Stamps),  sentiment stamp & holly stamp (“Nordic Noel” – aMuse Studio), embossing folder (Sizzix/Tim Holtz), watermark ink (VersaMark), brayer, brown ink, card stock (Stampin’ Up!), white embossing powder.

All of our challenges are optional…the only “real” rule is that you must create a new Christmas, Holiday or Hannukah card, then link it up on our blog so we can stop by and say hi!

It’s not necessary that you use a Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamp on your card, but we sure love it when you do!

Don’t forget to visit the rest of the CCC team to take a peek at the fun and festive cards they’ve created this week: AlannaCorinneJennifer, JovitaKarenKatieLeesaLorie,MargoMichelePatStephanie…and our guest designer Rachel!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful week, and don’t forget to link your entry on the Christmas Card Challenges blog! See you there!

colourQ #137

Happy Tuesday! It’s time for a new colourQ! Hope you had a great weekend!

I know Mother’s Day was on Sunday, but I used this week’s colourQ to make the card that I sent to my Mom. She received it on Saturday…so glad it got there in time! (And she LOVED it, by the way!)

Here’s my card:
Supplies: card base, cardstock (Stampin’ Up! – Tempting Turquoise), ink (Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade, – Stampin’ UP; Slate – aMuse Studio), stamps (Nordic Spring – Waltzingmouse Stamps; Nana’s Needlework Sentiments – Gina K Stamps), ribbon (Slate – aMuse Studio), embossing folder (Cuttlebug/Provo Craft)
For your creative inspiration, here’s this week’s colourQ:
To be considered for this week’s colourQueen, make sure to link your creation at the colourQ blog by Sunday, May20 at noon Central Time! (Don’t forget to display the challenge colors and link back to the colourQ blog in your entry post.)
Of course, the rest of the colourQ Royal Court have created some fabulous projects with this week’s colors! You can see them on the colourQ blog or by visiting their personal blogs. (The links are to the right next to the thumbnail of this week’s challenge colors.)
Thanks so much for stopping by! I can’t wait to see what you’ll create with this week’s colourQ!
Don’t forget, there’s still time to play along with the challenges at Christmas Card Challenges (Use a very old or rarely used stamp) and at Drunken Stampers (use “green” as your inspiration). I’m also the featured DT member at Drunken Stampers this week…stop by when you have time!
