Lawnscaping Challenge #117

Hi, everybody! I’m pleased to announce that I’m back on the Lawnscaping Facebook Inspiration Team (FIT), and we are kicking off a new challenge today at the Lawnscaping blog!

After birthday cards, the kind of cards I make most often are the type we’re featuring for this challenge! Here’s my card:

100_5878wm

I used two of the mouse stamps from the special Lawn Fawn/Simon Says Stamp “Merry Christmouse” set for my card. I used the heart stamp from “Critters Ever After” to create the cheese heart and layered it over where the mouse was originally holding a present. The sentiment is from “So Much to Say.”

Lawnscaping Challenge #117 is sponsored by Ellen Hutson! One lucky winner will receive a gift certificate to the Ellen Hutson store!

Lawnscaping FIT October Blog Hop

Hi, everybody! It’s time for our monthly Facebook Inspiration Team blog hop at the Lawnscaping Challenges blog! You’ve probably arrived here from Kim’s blog, but in case you’re starting here, you can find the full list of the blogs in today’s hop at the bottom of my post!

This month’s hop is once again being sponsored by The Ink Road! We’ll pick a winner from all of the comments left on our hop to receive a $25 gift certificate to The Ink Road!

Our inspiration color for this month’s hop is ORANGE, so I made a pair of fall holiday tags: one for Thanksgiving and another for Halloween.

100_5875wm

On the Thanksgiving tag, I combined the mice from Lawn Fawn‘s “Thankful Mice” stamp set with the “So Thankful” set. Both tags feature a heat embossed background strip using the “Gingham Backdrops” set.  The scene on the Halloween tag combines stamps from “Monster Mash” and “Spooktacular” sets.  I tied a length of Candy Corn Lawn Trimmings twine to the top of each tag.

A cup of fall-themed inspiration at the Lawnscaping blog!

Hi, everybody! I’m sharing a new card on the Lawnscaping challenge blog today that was inspired by this paper coffee cup, which you might have seen if you’ve gone to Starbucks for a coffee lately:

tumblr_nuqsddWu2I1qmaokro1_500

Although several crafters have used an extra cup as designer paper for their cards, I never remember to save mine. I challenged myself to use my Lawn Fawn stamps to create a similar design, and here’s the card I made:

100_5858wm

For some of the smaller accents like the groups of dots, I just looked through my stamp sets and used some of the tiny stamps to fill in the space between the bigger leaves and pumpkins, like the chocolate chips from the Milk and Cookies set and some doodle accents from the  Sophie’s Sentiments set.

Here’s my supply list! Thanks for stopping by today, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

More Bright CAS inspiration at Make It Crafty!

Hi, everybody! It’s my day to post a card at the Make It Crafty inspiration blog, and today I’m sharing this card that I made with MiC’s Melody digi stamp:

100_5866wm

Our Clean and Simple (CAS) challenge for this month is to create a card in a clean and simple design and use bright colors on the card. I don’t normally craft with a lot of orange, but since I’ve been using my fluorescent Copics more this month, I colored Melody’s dress with the FRV1 marker and carried the color orange throughout my card design.

100_5865wm

I used one of the Doodle Celebrate Word Chipboard pieces for my sentiment. I altered it with a white marker to make it pop a little more off of the orange paper.

For all of the details on this month’s BRIGHT COLORS CAS challenge at Make it Crafty, visit the MiC inspiration blog at this post or just click on the challenge graphic on the right-hand side of the blog.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have some time to craft over the weekend! I’ll be studying for my midterms, but I hope to make something when I take a break!

Make It Crafty October CAS Challenge: Bright Colors!

Hi, everybody! We’re kicking off a new Clean and Simple challenge today at Make it Crafty’s inspiration blog! Thanks to everyone who entered our September challenge, “Shades of Black and White”! We had so many fabulous entries this past month, and I can’t wait to see what everyone creates for this one!

We’re turning the color dial up to 11 this month and leaving the shades of black and white behind for “bright colors”!  I chose MiC’s “Sandra’s Lizard” digi for today’s card (I typed the sentiment next to the digi stamp before I printed it).

Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

Hi, everybody! There’s a new Coffee Lovers Blog Hop kicking off today! So, grab a cup of your favorite coffee, tea, or cocoa, and get ready for some caffeinated inspiration!

fall-coffee-blog-hop

My card for today’s hop features some of Lawn Fawn‘s super-cute critters enjoying a cuppa in the forest:

100_5845wm

I didn’t have a coffee cup stamp that was the right size for the critters, so I used the marshmallow stamp from Lawn Fawn’s Love You S’more set instead. I drew in the coffee with one of my Copics.

Here’s another look at the front of the card (I’ll post a supply list at the bottom of my post):

100_5848wm

Lawnscaping FIT September Blog Hop

Hi, everybody! It’s time for our monthly Facebook Inspiration Team blog hop at the Lawnscaping Challenges blog! You’ve probably arrived here from Jessica’s blog, but in case you’re starting here, you can find the full list of the blogs in today’s hop at the bottom of my post!

This month’s hop is once again being sponsored by The Ink Road! We’ll pick a winner from all of the comments left on our hop to receive a $25 gift certificate to The Ink Road!

Our inspiration color for this month’s hop is DARK BLUE, so I made this sweet little card:

100_5840wm

I used the adorable little critter from Lawn Fawn‘s “Winter Alpaca” stamp set. I stamped the alpaca and the moon, then heat embossed the stars. I masked the alpaca and the moon, then sponged dark blue ink on top to make the night sky.

After the sky was finished, I colored in the moon and the alpaca, then added some texture on the bottom with Distress Stickles (Rock Candy)and a white paint marker. Here’s another look, so you can see that it’s also a one-layer card!

Make It Crafty CAS Challenge: Shades of Black and White

Hi, everybody! We’re kicking off a new Clean and Simple challenge today at Make it Crafty’s inspiration blog! Thanks to everyone who entered our August cropped image challenge! We had so many fabulous entries this month, and I can’t wait to see what everyone creates for this one!

Our new challenge has a “shades of black and white” theme. I’m still loving the “cropped image” idea, so I chose Make it Crafty’s Witchy Wanda digital stamp for today’s card. (The sentiment is a wooden stamp from my stash).

100_5801wm
