MiC January CAS Challenge

Hi, everybody! I hope the new year is off to a great start for you! I’m still on a bit of a break from school, and it has been nice to get some extra crafting time. I’m mostly using the time to work ahead on my design team assignments, so I don’t feel so rushed when it’s time for classes again!

Thanks to everyone who entered the December challenge at Make it Crafty, “Cut Out Color Pop”!  I can’t wait to see what everyone creates for this one, because it was definitely a challenge for me!

We all love to color Make It Crafty’s fabulous digi and rubber stamp images, so it may come as a shock to you that our CAS challenge this month is “No Image”!

I used chipboard pieces from MiC as a stencil to create the background, and one of the words from the Doodle Celebrate Word Chipboard set for the sentiment and a stamp from my stash for the word “happy.”

I’ll have a new card to share with you on the Make it Crafty inspiration blog on January 9th, and I’d love it if you stopped by to say hello!

For more examples of the challenge theme and the details on this challenge, stop by the Make it Crafty blog and look for the challenge graphic on the right-hand side! Our challenge runs through the month of January, so there’s plenty of time to challenge yourself and play along with us! We can’t wait to see your entries!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope your week is off to a great start!

Lawnscaping FIT December Hop!

Hi, everybody! It’s time for our monthly Facebook Inspiration Team blog hop at the Lawnscaping Challenges blog! You’ve probably arrived here from Kim’s blog, but in case you’re starting here, you can find the full list of the blogs in today’s hop at the bottom of my post!

This month’s hop is once again being sponsored by The Ink Road! We’ll pick a winner from all of the comments left on our hop to receive a $25 gift certificate to The Ink Road! (The more you comment on the blogs in the hop, the more chances you have to win!)

Our inspiration color for this month’s hop is EVERGREEN, so I made a clean and simple style Christmas card with the “Deck the Halls” set and stamped the branches over and over in the shape of a wreath on a sheet of wood veneer:

The sentiment is from the “Toboggan Together” set. I attached some sequins to the wreath to add some dimension and a simple accent.

Lawnscaping Challenge #120

Hi, everybody! It’s time for a new Lawnscaping challenge! Our theme for this challenge is “Christmas”, and I wanted to make something different than a card, so I made these gift bags with the Goodie Bag die:

100_5951wm

I used some stamps from Lawn Fawn‘s “Party Animal” and “Toboggan Together” sets on the green bag. On the red bag, I used the Mini Snowflakes Lawn Cuts on the top sheet and layered a sheet of glitter paper between the top sheet  and the card stock bag to give it a little sparkle.

I bought a bunch of small hand sanitizers when they were on sale and found that two of them fit perfectly inside of the goodie bag. I think it would be great for a quick gift or stocking stuffer.

Lawnscaping Challenge 119

Hi, everybody! It’s time for a new Lawnscaping challenge! Our theme for this challenge is “Tag It”, which means to create or use a tag on your project. With Christmas just around the corner, I thought I’d get into the spirit of the season and I created this card:

100_5938wm

I stamped several gingerbread cookies from the “Oh Snap” set for my card, heat embossed them and trimmed them. I combined  stamps from the Milk and Cookies and the Baaah Humbug sets for my sentiment.

Lawnscaping Challenge 118

Hi, everybody! It’s time for a new  Lawnscaping  challenge! Our theme for this challenge is “In With the Old,” so I created this stationery gift set with products from Lawn Fawn’s “Into the Woods” collection.

100_5916wm

You might have noticed the decorated paper clips in this set that were part of my post on the Lawnscaping blog on Friday. I altered this photo to show you what I included in the set:

Hope this inspires you to dust off some of the older product you’ve been saving to create something new!
