Christmas Card Challenges #44 – Chipboard!

Happy Sunday! It’s time for a new Christmas Card Challenge! This week, we’re inspired by chipboard!

For my card, I chose a chipboard snowflake and button to accent “Ice Skating Chloe” by Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps! I added Stickles to the snowflake to make it sparkle!
Other supplies: patterned paper (Basic Grey Jovial), Twine (Trendy Twine), die (Spellbinders Labels 28), Copic markers, opaque white marker, ribbon (Pebbles), Liquid Applique.

Although all of our challenges are optional…the only “real” rule is that you must create a new Christmas, Holiday or Hannukah card, then link it up on the CCC blog so we can stop by and leave you some lovely comments!

We also don’t require that you use Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps on your cards, but if you have them, we’d love to see you ink them up when you play along!

Don’t forget to visit the rest of the CCC team to take a peek at the beautiful cards they’ve created this week: AlannaBrigitteCandaceCorinneDeeKatieLeesaMargoMichelePat, and Stephanie…and our guest designer, Natali!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a fabulous week and don’t forget to link your entry on the Christmas Card Challenges blog! See you there!

Card Challenge Roundup!

Happy Friday, crafty friends! Just popping in today to share a few cards that I’ve made for various challenges!

My first card is for the current deconstructed sketch challenge!

I colored this super cute dachshund (that’s part of the “Preppy Pups” set by Some Odd Girl Stamps) to match my sweet dog, Midnight. The papers are from My Mind’s Eye’s “On the Sunny Side” collection (except for the orange paper, which is from Echo Park):

Other supplies: cardstock (Stampin Up – Summer Starfruit), twine (Trendy Twine), stamp set (Some Odd Girl – Preppy Pups), card base, Spellbinders Classic Circles die, Brilliance Graphite Black ink, Copic markers.
My card is based on this sketch:
My second card is for the current retrosketches challenge. I used stamps from Paper Smooches for this one:
supplies: patterned paper (My Mind’s Eye), image and sentiment stamps (Paper Smooches – “Wake Up” set), twine (Trendy Twine), wood button, cork paper (Echo Park), kraft card stock, Copic markers.
Here’s the sketch it’s based on:
My third card is for the “Piece Out” paper piecing challenge at Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps. I used their “Elaine” stamp set and paper pieced her hat and dress, as well as her suitcase. I added some depth with Copics on those pieces to make them more dimensional.
Supplies: stamps (Kraftin’ Kimmie – Elaine), patterned paper (Basic Grey PB&J), crocheted lace trim (My Mind’s Eye), twine (Trendy Twine), cardstock (Bazzill & Stampin’ Up!), Copic markers.
And my last card in this batch is for last week’s “Bright Colors” Farm Fresh Friday challenge at The Greeting Farm. Even though the deadline has passed, I still want to share my card with you…it features one of the new “Big Time Anya” stamps…these are perfect for cards I plan to make for my nieces, who are growing up so fast!
Supplies: image stamp (The Greeting Farm – “Anya Lifts“), sentiment stamp (Stampin’ Up), twine (Trendy Twine), patterned paper (Echo Park), Copic markers, opaque white marker, Brilliance Graphite Black ink, wood button, label die (Memory Box), sewing machine, card base, Stickles, Ranger Glossy Accents.
Whew! I think I posted all the ones I wanted to…hope you enjoyed checking them out!
You still have time to play along in this month’s challenges at Your Next Stamp: an “elements/recipe” challenge, a color challenge, and a “friends” challenge!
I’ll be back tomorrow with a new Drunken Stampers challenge, and on Sunday with a new Christmas Card Challenge! See you then!
A side note: if you have any questions about my cards, please let me know in the comments section. I check them fairly frequently and will answer your questions as soon as I can!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

This one’s for the birds!

Happy Saturday! Although it’s not my team’s week to post for the latest Drunken Stampers challenge, I wanted to share the card that I made!

This week, we’d like for you to include a bird of some kind on your card!
I created my card with papers and accents from SEI’s “Vanilla Sunshine” collection. I created the party hat with a scrap of paper from my stash and stuck one of the flower accents on top:

Supplies: kraft card stock, buttons, twine, typed sentiment, brads, elements and patterned paper (SEI “Vanilla Sunshine” collection), Ranger Glossy Accents.

Today is my monthly craft group meet-up, and I’m not sure how many I’ll have left; it will depend on when we’re moving, so I’ll make sure to enjoy the day!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend, and when you have a chance, check out all the fabulous creations that “Team Flirtini” created for this challenge at the Drunken Stampers blog! I also hope you’ll play along in our challenge! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Your Next Stamp: Lime Green, Turquoise & Brown!

Happy Thursday! It’s time for a new challenge at Your Next Stamp! This week’s challenge is inspired by the colors of  lime green, turquoise and brown!

Happy Birthday, Thanh!

Today is my friend Thanh‘s birthday…several weeks ago, a few of her mischievous crafty friends set up a surprise (and somewhat adult) blog hop for her. Sparkle bought the stamp from Viva Las Vegas stamps, and we all stamped and colored the image for our cards.

To our surprise, Thanh LOVED all of the cards and insisted that we do a blog hop for her birthday to share the cards with the world. We all used the same stamp image…here is a G-rated peek at it.

So as not to offend our readers, we made a photo album for the cards, instead of posting the full card on our blogs, so the cards would be available to those who want to see them.
So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, THANH!
(My fellow partners in crime are: Sparkle, Spike, Stephanie, and Peggy.)
If you’re feeling especially festive, stop by Thanh’s blog and wish her a very happy birthday!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
P.S. I’m the featured returning designer today at the recently and tastefully re-vamped (by me) Drunken Stampers challenge blog…what a coincidence! EEK! Our next challenge will be unveiled on Saturday!

A few updates…

Hi crafty friends! Just wanted to stop by and share a few updates on some of crafty things I have going on!
Unfortunately, there has been a little hiccup in the August stamp release at The Craft’s Meow. We’re on standby until the release is fully ready, but I will definitely share the cards I’ve made when I get the OK to show them to you! For more details, please visit The Craft’s Meow blog!

The second and slightly happier update is that we’ll be re-launching the Drunken Stampers challenge blog on Saturday!
I’ve been working on a full re-design of the site, including layout, challenge graphics and some other goodies for the rest of my fellow Designated Stampers.
We’re also changing our challenge schedule! So, instead of a new challenge every other week, we’ll have something new for you each week!
Feel free to grab the blinkie for your blog! I really hope you’ll join us this Saturday at Drunken Stampers for our newest challenge! (You don’t have to be tipsy to play along in our challenges…we just want you to have fun creating with us!)

I’ll be back on Thursday with a new Your Next Stamp challenge! Don’t forget, you still have time to play in all of the YNS challenges we’ve issued this month! (Anything Goes, Books, and a color challenge!) We’ve changed the rules to make it easier for everyone to play along! Check it out HERE.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

The Craft’s Meow!

Hi, crafty friends! Just a short post to let you know that I’m this month’s guest designer at The Craft’s Meow! I met Lisa, owner of The Craft’s Meow at CHA in January, and I’m so excited to be guesting for her company this month!

Starting Friday, I’ll be joining the fabulous ladies of The Craft’s Meow Design Team to share peeks of this month’s releases with all of you!

The Craft's Meow
There are some simply gorgeous and sweet sets coming out this month, and I can’t wait to share what I’ve made with you! I’m sure you’ll love a few of the sets, if not all of them!
There’s also a clearance sale going on for many of TCM’s retiring stamp sets…check them out when you have time!
Thanks for stopping by!
