TGF GVT: Lots of Layers!

Hi, Friends of the Farm!
 
I hope you’re as excited as I am about September release previews at TGF this week!
 
We’re taking a little break from the sneak peeks today to bring you a new Garden Variety Tuesday challenge…we want to see layers on your card!
 
Here’s my card for today, featuring “Birthday Anya 3“:
 
 
Ready to join in the fun? Here’s what you need to know: 
  • You must use a TGF stamp (rubber, digi, or clear) as your main image.
  • Entries must be uploaded via the InLinkz tool on the TGF blog at the bottom of the post no later than Monday, September 2 at NOON CST. You can add a direct link to your entry from your personal blog, SCS gallery, Flickr or TGF galleria. (If the InLinkz tool is missing, feel free to link your submission URL in a comment.)
  • The fabulous prize: A random participant will be selected to win a digital image of choice from the TGF store.
  • But, WAIT! Each week, our friends have the opportunity to DOUBLE that prize to either two digis or, you can trade those two digis for a SINGLE rubber stamp of choice, as long as we have 20 or more players each week, so encourage all your friends and family to play along!

TGF FFF: Back to School

Hello, friends of the Farm! Are you ready for a new Farm Fresh Friday challenge?
 
It’s been a busy week here at my house; we’re getting some things done in the yard and inside the house. I’m also working on my DT assignments for next week because we’re having company come to visit! If you have kids going back to school, I’m sure it’s busy at your house, too!
 
Our theme for this week’s Farm Fresh Friday at The Greeting Farm is “Back to School.” While I don’t have anyone heading back to the classroom, I thought this would be a cool project you can adapt for anybody who needs reminders or has a to-do list!
 
I repurposed an old CD case to make this sticky note holder. I did have to take it apart and flip the front side to make the holder stand up, but that’s the most difficult part of the process!
 
I used the “Valentine Anya” digi and an apple stamp from my collection on the holder. I had to cut her hands and reposition them so she could hold the apple.
 
I also added gloss to the chipboard letters to the glitter wouldn’t flake off.

TGF Farm Fresh Friday: Anything Goes!

Happy Friday, everybody! There’s a new Farm Fresh Friday challenge at The Greeting Farm today, and it’s an all-time favorite: Anything Goes!
 
I’m sharing a different type of project today: I made a pendant with the new Frou Frou Birthday stamp and some shrink plastic. The original image measures about 3.5″ wide x 4″ high. After heating the plastic to shrink the image, it’s about 1.5″ wide x 1.75″ high. 
 
 
 
I colored the underside of the pendant with Copics. Since alcohol-based markers don’t work well with Staz-On ink, coloring the underside is your best bet. The colors also intensify when you shrink the image down, so don’t worry if the colors don’t come out as dark as you like when you’re coloring.

TGF Garden Variety Tuesday!

Hi, everybody! It’s time for a new Garden Variety Tuesday challenge at The Greeting Farm!
 
This week, we’re using stickers on our projects, so I chose a sentiment sticker for my card, which also features Birthday Anya 3 and the bottom of the Tulip Border Die.
 
Other supplies: sticker (SRM Stickers), “Totally Kraft” twine (Annie’s Paper Boutique/Trendy Twine), foam tape, wood button, assorted Copic markers.

I chose Creeper Crew girls Abbey and Monday for today’s card…so, by sticking Monday’s head on Abbey’s body, I now have:

TGF FFF: Gettin’ Wiggy With It!

Hi, Farm Friends! Have you been loving TGF’s August release?

As you know, it’s FRIDAY! And that means, it’s time for a new Farm Fresh Friday challenge at TGF!

Hi, everybody! So glad you are joining us today! Not only are we celebrating the August release at TGF, we’re also celebrating The Greeting Farm‘s FIFTH birthday!  Happy birthday to us!   
As you’ve seen from this month’s previews, we are going all-out to celebrate with three BIRTHDAY-themed releases and they’re all available NOW in the TGF STORE!   Whether you want to GO BIG with the new Frou Frou line, classic with Birthday Anya 3, or get ‘clearly’ creative with the new Birthday cake stackers, there’s a little something for everyone this release as we prepare to PARTY!
Here’s my card for today’s hop! It’s “Birthday Anya 3”, who has some sweet birthday wishes for The Greeting Farm!
 
 
There will be a few birthday surprises on the Farm this month, so stay tuned, but in order to kick start today’s party and this month’s fab release, we’re celebrating with our DT BLOG hop as usual!

TGF Sneak Peeks Day 3 – Frou Frou Birthday!

HELLO Friends of the Farm! It’s our final day of sneak peeks for the August release at The Greeting Farm!
I hope you’ve enjoyed our previews so far! Yesterday, I previewed the “Clear Birthday” set, and today, I’m previewing the “Frou Frou Birthday” rubber stamp set. This stamp set is a bit larger than the Anya stamps (approximately 3″ x 3″); she’s probably closer in size to the Big Time Anya line (approximately 4″ x 6″).
So, I’m presenting two projects to you today…the one on the left is a glassine gift bag. I made Frou Frou Birthday into a tag/embellishment for the front of the bag. You may notice the sentiment is from yesterday’s “Clear Birthday” set preview, which I thought was perfect, considering that the bag is filled with saltwater taffy!
The card on the right is a tent card with a hidden gift card holder pocket. The gift card pulls out where I tied the silver ribbon.
