TGF FFF: Color Combo Challenge!

Hi, Friends of the Farm! For my friends in the United States, I hope you had a safe and happy Thanksgiving holiday! We’re kicking off a new Farm Fresh Friday challenge today at The Greeting Farm, and Farmer Joni is challenging us to create with a color combo: silver, baby blue and white!
I chose “Holiday Anya” for my card today and added the hand warmer from “Holiday Anya 3” to my main image.
I puffed up some Liquid Applique on the fur trim of her dress and hand warmer with a heat tool. It’s also what I used to create the mistletoe berries in her hair. 
To work in the silver, I heat-set some silver ink with clear embossing powder on a strip of cardstock.

Let it snow…and an announcement!

Happy Friday, everybody! It’s time for a new Farm Fresh Friday challenge at The Greeting Farm, and this week, we want to see your snowy creations! Our theme for this FFF is “Let It Snow”, and I picked “Beanie Ian” for today’s card:

And here’s some news that so many Friends of the Farm have been waiting for… A CYBER MONDAY BLOG HOP!
Since a lot of you will be online shopping anyway (and good for you for avoiding the crowds, haha! : ), why not head over to the TGF BLOG for some fun, holiday cheer!
We are waiting until December rolls around to introduce all things merry and bright, and wish you and your families a wonderful Thanksgiving full of gratitude and grace! However, once December is here, we’ll be kicking off the festivities with a BANG! Since there’s no December release, we’re finding our muse in a different way…with all of YOU!
Here are the details on signing up for the hop:
Visit our Facebook page starting TOMORROW (Saturday 11/23) at 10am. We will have a SIGN UP where you can leave your BLOG ADDRESS/URL. All participants must be willing to have their posts up at 12:00 noon, as this will be a large hop and there will be a lengthy list created to post all of the blogs in one place for you to scroll through. (if you do not have a FB account, and still would like to participate, e-mail Jess).
The SIGN UP deadline is THANKSGIVING DAY. Because of the time needed for preparations, we can not take any signups past 11:59pm CST on Thursday, November 28th.
Of course, there will be PRIZES! We’ll be giving away a $25 gift certificate to one RANDOM winner who participates in the hop, along with a 2nd prize of a 4×6 set, 3rd prize of a single rubber set, and some ‘honorable mention digis’ for creativity and design at the discretion of the Design Team.

TGF Farm Fresh Friday: Wonderful Washi!

Hi, everybody! Are you ready for a new Farm Fresh Friday challenge? I know you’ll find this week’s challenge wishy-washi wonderful! That’s right…we’re inspired by washi tape (real or faux)!

My card features Amelia from the newly released “Oliver and Amelia Valentine” set:


I used woodgrain washi tape to make a border on the card and also covered a wooden heart accent with the same washi tape.

Here’s the scoop on playing along with this and all of our Farm Fresh Friday challenges:
  • You must use a TGF stamp (rubber, digi, or clear) as your main image.

It’s sneak peek day at TGF!

Hi, everybody! I feel like the month of October just FLEW by! I can’t believe it’s time to start the November release previews at The Greeting Farm!

We’re kicking off our previews with a new mixed media set named “My Heart” and I’ve made two projects to share with you today. My first project is an altered 5×7 canvas:


There are lots of stamps in this set, so there are lots of possibilities for your creative projects! I made a chalkboard-styled display piece for my second project.


If you’d like to win this set, visit the blogs of the designers participating in today’s sneak peek (Annie Rose, Jodi, Rachel and ME)! Make sure to leave a comment on each blog. Then, visit the TGF blog to let us know you’ve visited all of the blogs and that you left a comment for each designer!

Who will be your alter ego?

Hi, everybody! Today, I’m sharing some news about some changes to our contests at The Greeting Farm!
First of all, beginning in November, we’re discontinuing the Retro Fresh challenge and Garden Variety Tuesdays (GVT), but have no fear, a new FUN contest will take place quarterly such as the one we’re about to announce today. We’re still continuing the Farm Fresh Friday challenges, so there will still be plenty of fun on the Farm!
We’re also excited to announce another customer-wide blog hop opportunity for the holidays. Be sure to stay tuned for info on the hop after the November 1 release!
Without further delay, we present a new contest:
How FUN is this going to be?   We know there are a lot of you creative crafters out there who do amazing things with TGF stamps, and sometimes you kick it up a notch or two by switching heads, bodies, clothes, etc. With Halloween coming up,  we thought it was the perfect time for a contest, so here’s your chance to mix up your TGF images to WIN a prize!
For my card, I combined CC Saturday‘s head with CC Dante‘s body:
 
So, what do you need to know to join in the fun and possibly win a prize? Let’s start with the rules:
  • You MUST use at least two (2) TGF stamps to create your character.
  • You must create a NEW project.You can create a card, altered project, or whatever you’d like. 
So, what’s the PRIZE? 
Don’t lose your head, but the winner will receive their choice of two (2) 4×6 stamp sets  AND a GUEST DESIGNER SPOT at The Greeting Farm!  
We’re changing the way we choose our Guest Designers as of November, so we can give even more talented TGF fans a chance to showcase their work.  Guest spots will now consist of 1-2 features a month on the TGF blog and will give LOTS of creative freedom to the designer, so believe me, you’ll want to show us what you’ve got!
When is the deadline?
The In Linkz tool will open at the TGF blog on Thursday, October 24 (the second day of our DT preview).  You have until 11:00 pm Central Time on Thursday, October 31 (Halloween!) to create your “Alter Ego” and upload it to the TGF blog.  The contest winner will be announced on RELEASE DAY, November 1st!
