The Craft’s Meow Blog Hop: Featuring Clear Stamps by Mabelle RO!

Hello! I’m pleased to be joining The Craft’s Meow today for a blog hop spotlighting the clear stamp sets designed by the super fabulous Mabelle R-O!
I was fortunate to be a guest designer for The Craft’s Meow in September 2012, when two of Mabelle’s clear sets, “Fall Blessings” and “Fall Fibi and Lilly” made their debut at TCM!
I’m happy to say I now design for Mabelle…she is such a sweetheart and all of her designs are adorable! It’s so easy to fall in love with these sets! Today’s card features stamps from “Fall Blessings,” which along with “Fall Fibi and Lilly“, are available now in The Craft’s Meow Store!
I masked the pumpkins to give the feel of being in a pumpkin patch…all of Mabelle’s clear sets have so many fun design possibilities! It was hard to decide what combination I wanted to share with you today!
AND…what’s a blog hop without some prizes? One lucky commenter (chosen from the comments left on ALL the blogs in today’s hop) will win a stamp set of their choice! So, make sure you leave a little love on each blog as you make your way through the hop!

To be eligible for the prize, make sure you visit and comment on all the blogs before 11:59 PM Eastern on Tuesday, July 9th. The winner will be announced on Wednesday, July 10th at The Craft’s Meow blog!

retro sketches #50

How’s it going, everybody? I’m just popping in today to share my card for this week’s retro sketches challenge (#50)!
To create this card, I used the “Vintage Clocks” stamp set by The Craft’s Meow and papers from Authentique’s “Lovely” paper pad.
Other supplies: kraft card stock, foam tape, watermark ink, white embossing powder, sewing machine, heart brad (Queen & Co.).
Here’s the sketch that inspired my card (the only change I made is that I flipped the sentiment banner):

Craft’s Meow Preview Day 4!

Greetings! I’m back for our fourth day of previews of this month’s stamp set release atThe Craft’s Meow

Today’s featured sets are:

Golden Days,” September’s free gift with a $50 purchase! It’s an elegant seasonal set, perfect for making Fall and Thanksgiving cards!

and

“Good Times,” a set for all the Project Life fans out there…there are several banner/callout elements, some fun sentiments and a versatile chevron background stamp!

My first card features images and a sentiment from “Golden Days.” I created a custom background by stamping and heat embossing the leaves from the set over some marbled patterned paper.

My first round of embossing was with clear powder; the second round was with gold detail powder. The frame for my sentiment is from the “Good Times” set.

other supplies: gold, clear and clear embossing powder, watermark ink, designer paper (Basic Grey Indian Summer), clear seam binding ribbon, cardstock.
If you’d like a chance to win these sets, all you have to do is leave a comment on The Craft’s Meow blog by 9PM Pacific Time tonight (September 20).

The Craft’s Meow Previews: Day 3

Greetings! I’m back for our third day of previews of this month’s stamp set release at The Craft’s Meow

Today’s featured sets are “Fall Blessings” and “Fall with Fibi and Lilly”…both of these super sweet sets are designed by Mabelle R-O. and are perfect for Fall and Halloween!

My first card features images and a sentiment from “Fall Blessings.” I stamped and colored a couple of the pumpkins and used foam tape to add dimension:

other supplies: card stock, patterned paper (Basic Grey Oxford), Spellbinders Labels 25, Copic markers, adhesive rhinestones, buttons, twine, foam tape, sewing machine, opaque clear marker, ink (Brilliance Graphite Black).
I originally made the first card without realizing that I didn’t make a card with the other set. So, last night, I made this card with “Fall with Fibi and Lilly.”

Since the first card had a bold look to it, I wanted to make a softer-themed card, so I stamped the main image on a parchment-looking paper with lighter ink, and used light colors of Copics to color it in. (I also used the leaf background stamp from the “Fall Blessings” set to create a little background.):

other supplies: brads, seam binding ribbon, patterned paper (Authentique), ink (SU Crumb Cake), foam tape.

If you’d like a chance to win these sets, all you have to do is leave a comment on The Craft’s Meow blog by 9PM Pacific Time tonight (September 19).

I’ll be back tomorrow with previews of TWO more new sets, one of which is the free gift that you’ll receive with a $50 purchase!

“Lovely Ovals” works perfectly with the Spellbinders Classic Ovals sets. It includes five sentiments, three oval frames, three background element stamps and several decorative elements for so many creative possibilities!

I used one of the sentiments, one of the oval frames, and one of the background element stamps on my card:

colourQ #129

Happy Tuesday and welcome back for our latest colourQ challenge!
We had so many gorgeous green & grey entries last week! Thanks to all who joined us, and I hope you’ll find time to play along with us this week!
I was inspired by our colour combo to create this card:
Supplies: image and sentiment stamps (The Craft’s Meow – In Tandem),  patterned paper (Echo Park Stripes & Dots – Homefront collection),  cardstock (Stampin’ UP! – Rich Razzleberry, Wisteria Wonder), glitter brads, mini brad, white satin ribbon, ink (Tsukineko).
I stamped the stem of the pinwheel onto the paper, then paper pieced the pinwheel and attached it loosely to the background before securing it to the card base so it can spin! (Although you can’t tell that it spins just by looking at the picture!)
The stamp set I used is by The Craft’s Meow…and coincidentally, TCM is celebrating its 1-year anniversary right now! They have lots of fun things going on at their blog…if you have time, please check it out! My dear friend Lisa (owner of The Craft’s Meow) would be so happy if you did!
Here’s our cool colourQ:

colourQ #124

Happy Valentine’s Day and welcome back for the latest colourQ challenge! Thanks to everyone who played along with us last week! We always enjoy seeing what you create!

Here’s my card for this week:

Supplies: card base, card stock (Stampin’ Up! Real Red), manila tag, patterned paper (pink – My Mind’s Eye “Love Me” mini pad; blue – Echo Park Dots & Stripes mini pad), stamps (The Craft’s Meow – In Tandem set), lace (KaiserCraft), heart rhinestones, ink (Tsukineko).
I kept thinking that I needed to add some ribbon, buttons or another embellishment, but I couldn’t decide, so I left it this way! I normally color the images on my cards, but I thought this one would look great without coloring. Both the image and the sentiment are stamps from The Craft’s Meow!
For your reference, here’s our colourQ:
