TGF Farm Fresh Friday: Make It Move!

Well, here we are for another Farm Fresh Friday…and this week, our very own Farmer Thanh is challenging us to make a card or project with something that moves!
I’ll admit, mine is a little bit of a cop-out. OK, maybe more than a little bit. I honestly had another, more ambitious project in mind, but it didn’t come out the way I wanted it to, and I wasn’t happy with it, so I made this instead.

I promise, the candy moves inside the cup…and it will also move when the back of the cup is opened!

I haven’t been able to locate my wobble springs since the move…and overall, it’s been a crazy week. I also apologize for the hot spot on the photo. I was editing it in a public place and my lighting wasn’t the greatest.

So, here’s my delicious, semi-moving card with “Anya Treats“:

My fellow farmers have seriously knocked this challenge out of the park…stop by The Greeting Farm’s blog to see them all!

So, what do you need to know to join us for our Farm Fresh Friday challenges? Here’s the scoop:
  • You must use a TGF stamp (rubber, digi, or clear) as your main image.
  • *Entries must be uploaded via InLinkz below the challenge post on the TGF blog no later than Thursday, May 30th at NOON CST
  • You can add a direct link to your entry from your personal blog, SCS gallery, Flickr or TGF galleria. (If the InLinkz tool is missing, feel free to link your submission URL in the comment section below the post on the TGF blog.)
  • *The fabulous prize: A random participant will be selected to win their choice of an in-stock SINGLE RUBBER STAMP or a 4×6 set!

TGF Farm Fresh Friday – Paper Piecing!

Happy Friday, friends of the Farm! It’s time for a new Farm Fresh Friday challenge at The Greeting Farm, and this week we’re putting the pieces together with the theme of paper piecing!
I love fussy cutting, and I don’t paper piece images as much anymore because I love to color, but I wanted to do something fun for this challenge card.
I chose the dog from the “Anya Strolls” set to relax on a paper pieced chair from the “Sitting Wonderful” stamp set. The set’s magazine and glass accessories seemed perfect, too!
Because the main image had so much going on, I decided to keep the rest of the card design fairly simple. The sentiment I used is one of the two included in the “Anya Strolls” set.
So, what do you need to know to join us for our Farm Fresh Friday challenge? Here’s the scoop:
  • You must use a TGF stamp (rubber, digi, or clear) as your main image.
  • *Entries must be uploaded via InLinkz below the challenge post on the TGF blog no later than Thursday, May 23rd at NOON CST
I hope you enjoyed my coffee filter flower tutorial that I posted on Wednesday. If you didn’t get a chance to check it out, just click HERE to see it on the TGF blog!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulously creative weekend!

Happy Friday, everybody! It’s time for a new Farm Fresh Friday challenge and we’re cooking up some fun today at The Greeting Farm with a recipe challenge!

It’s Farm Fresh Friday at TGF!

Happy Friday, everybody! Thanks to everyone who stopped by and left such lovely comments on my new release blog hop post! I always love reading your comments…you made my day!
It’s time for a new Farm Fresh Friday challenge at The Greeting Farm, and this week, we’ve gone MONOCHROMATIC!
What does that mean? Basically, you use various shades of only one color (I picked yellow). You can also use a neutral like white to offset the color.

A monochromatic yellow palette might look something like this:

There are lots of variations, of course, but I thought it would help to show an example.
Here’s my card, featuring “Anya Strolls” and TGF’s “Fence Die“:
When I was putting the card together, I thought it needed some white to break up all of the yellow, so I used the “Mini Clouds Die” to bring in a pop of white.
To make the sunbeams, I first drew a pattern on cardstock that was the same size as my main panel on the card. Then I figured out where I wanted the sun to be, and drew rays from the center of the circle to the edge of the panel. I cut along the lines and traced the pieces on to my patterned paper, cut those out, erased the pencil marks, and assembled it like a puzzle.

I added machine stitching along the gingham panels to give the rays extra dimension.

So, what do you need to know to join in our challenge? Here’s the scoop:

  • You must use a TGF stamp (rubber, digi, or clear) as your main image.
  • Entries must be uploaded via InLinkz at the bottom of the challenge post on the TGF blog no later than Thursday, May 9th at NOON CST.
  • You can add a direct link to your entry from your personal blog, SCS gallery, Flickr or TGF galleria. (If the InLinkz tool is missing, feel free to link your submission URL in the comment section!)

It’s Farm Fresh Friday at TGF!

With April drawing to a close and May just around the corner, we’re celebrating all of the blooms and blossoms we’re hoping to see next month for this week’s Farm Fresh Friday at The Greeting Farm!

It has been a curious trip through Wonderland this month, and I hope you’ve scooped up our limited edition “Beans”! If not, there’s just a little time left before the portal closes on this release…once the stamps are sold out, they won’t be restocked!

Today, I’m sharing a card with “Queen Bean” and some more of the coffee filter roses I made for last week’s FFF:

Supplies: image stamp (Queen Bean” – The Greeting Farm), patterned papers (Echo Park), Spellbinders Labels 25 die, twine, sewing machine, foam tape, assorted Copic markers, Stickles, coffee filters.
Although I only received one lovely comment asking for the tutorial, I may find it in my “heart” to put something together in an upcoming post! 😉
Here’s what you’ll need to know to play along with this challenge:
  • You must use a TGF stamp (rubber, digi, or clear) as your main image.
  • Entries must be uploaded via InLinkz at the bottom of the challenge post on the TGF blog no later than Thursday, May 2nd at NOON CST.

TGF Farm Fresh Friday: Clouds!

Happy Friday, everybody! Today I’m sharing my card for the new Farm Fresh Friday challenge at The Greeting Farm!

We’re inspired by clouds this week, and I decided to pair “Hatter Bean” with the “Mini Clouds w/die” stamp set for today’s card:
Other supplies: patterned paper (“Yuki for Ruby Violet” mini pad- Prima Marketing; “Dots and Stripes” Candy Shoppe mini pad), assorted Copic markers, twine (My Mind’s Eye), sewing machine, button.
You might notice that I did two-step stamping on one of the clouds. The larger cloud stamp in this set has a polka dot pattern, so I inked up the smaller cloud with silver ink and stamped it on the larger cloud to pick up the pattern, then stamped the small cloud on my paper.

Here’s a look at the “Mini Clouds w/die” stamp set so you can see the pieces that I mentioned:

Here’s the scoop for this challenge:

  • You must use a TGF stamp (rubber, digi, or clear) as your main image.
  • Entries must be uploaded via InLinkz at the bottom of the challenge post on the TGF blog no later than Thursday, April 18th at NOON CST.
  • You can add a direct link to your entry from your personal blog, SCS gallery, Flickr or TGF galleria. (If the InLinkz tool is missing, feel free to link your submission URL in the comment section!)
  • The fabulous prize: A random participant will be selected to win their choice of an in-stock SINGLE RUBBER STAMP or a 4×6 set!
Don’t forget, there’s still time to enter our Double Take Tuesday challenge (color combo of pink, yellow and turquoise) and our Retro-Fresh challenge (polka dots and/or plaid)! Check out each challenge post for all the details!
