Christmas Card Challenges #31 – Monochromatic

Happy Sunday! It’s time for a new Christmas Card Challenge, and this week, we’re going monochromatic!

All of our challenges are optional…the only “real” rule is that you must create a new Christmas, Holiday or Hannukah card, then link it up on our blog so we can stop by and leave you some love!

It’s not necessary that you use a Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamp on your card, but we sure love it when you do! My card uses various shades of green, and features Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps’ Christmas Tree Ruby!

I think the hardest parts of making this card were not coloring the image, and using all those shades of green!

supplies: card base, patterned paper (Echo Park), sentiment stamp (Signature Christmas – Papertrey Ink), border punch (Fiskars), ink, colored card stock (Stampin’ Up – Old Olive), stamp (Christmas Tree Ruby – Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps), metal die (Spellbinders Labels 25), ribbon, buttons (from stash).

Christmas Card Challenges – Dots & Stripes!

Happy Sunday, and Happy Father’s Day! It’s time for a new Christmas Card Challenge, and this week, we’d like for you to use dots and stripes on your entry!

Here’s my card!
supplies: card base, image stamp (Henry Eating Large Cookie – Whiff of Joy), sentiment stamp (aMuse Studio), polka dot paper (aMuse Studio), plaid paper (Good Cheer – October Afternoon), spellbinders die (Labels 25), clear button, kraft cardstock, twine (Whisker Graphics), foam tape, brads, blue card stock (Stampin’ UP!),  white card stock (Papertrey Ink), ink (Brilliance Graphite Black, Stampin’ Up Real Red), Copic markers [mouse – E81, E84 (fur), E41 (belly). R01. R02. E93 (ears), RV32 (nose), R14, R24, W2, 0 (hat); cookie – E30, E31, E50, E53; G00, G40 (icing); sprinkles – RV14, G16, Y15, B26, R29, R37; other – W1, W2, 0.

I’ve been looking forward to using this stamp since I got it after Christmas last year. I colored the image a while back, and couldn’t decide what card I’d make with it! When I saw that this week’s challenge was dots & stripes, I thought it would be perfect!
You can’t really see it in the photo, but I added Glossy Accents to the frosting on the cookie to give it a little shine. I love the little rainbow sprinkles on the cookie! Whenever I make sugar cookies, I always add those sprinkles…I don’t know what it is, but somehow the cookies taste better with the sprinkles!

Happy Sunday! Today’s my first day as a new member of the Christmas Card Challenges Design Team!

I applied for the Design Team Call for the term that started in January, but didn’t make that round. I was, however, offered a Guest Designer spot for May, reapplied for the new term, and was accepted this time! WOOHOO!

This week, we’re challenging you to use a sentiment only! All of our challenges are optional. The only real rule is that you must create a new Christmas, Holiday, Winter or Hanukkah card. We just want you to have fun and play along with us!

Here’s my card:

Supplies: cardstock (Stampin’ UP!), sentiment stamp (Nordic Noel – aMuse Studio), watermark ink (VersaMark), opaque white embossing powder, chipboard accent (Echo Park), patterned paper (Blitzen – Bo Bunny), adhesive rhinestones.
We’ve got a prize to give away this week, so check the Christmas Card Challenges blog for all the details!
And while you’re there, check out all the fun cards the team created: AlannaBrigitteCandaceCorinneDeeKatieMargoMichelePatSparkle, and Stephanie! And, please give a warm welcome to our guest designer for this month, Leesa!

Thanks for stopping by to look at my card for this week’s Christmas Card Challenge! This week, the challenge is to include some kind of “bling” (like rhinestones or pearls) on your card!

Keep in mind that all challenges are optional, and the only real rule is that you must create a new Christmas, Holiday, Winter or Hanukkah card! (It’s not necessary to use a SCRS stamp on your card, but the team loves it when you do!)

Here’s my card:
Supplies: patterned paper (12 Days of Christmas – My Mind’s Eye), image stamp (Some Odd Girl – Hollyday Gwen), sentiment stamps (holly jolly – Some Odd girl’s Hollyday Gwen; christmas – aMuse Studio), border punch (EK Success), die (Spellbinders Labels 25), ribbon (from stash), cardstock (Stampin’ Up!), adhesive rhinestones, ink (Old Olive, Real Red – Stampin’ Up; Brilliance Graphite Black), foam tape, opaque white marker, Copic markers (will update with list of colors that I used).

This week also marks my last Guest Designer challenge with CCC…but I’ll be joining the team as a regular member in June! I applied during the last DT call, and was accepted for this term!

Christmas Card Challenges #24

Happy Sunday! Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!
Yesterday was my monthly craft group day! I can’t say I made a lot of cards, but I definitely got a lot of coloring done!
For this week’s Christmas Card Challenge, the team would like you to use a really old stamp!
I used this wreath and sentiment from a Rubber Soul set. It’s one of the first Christmas sets I bought when I started stamping and making cards. I jazzed up the wreath with some rhinestones and twine!
Supplies: card base, corner rounder, image and sentiment stamps (Rubber Soul), kraft cardstock (PaperTrey Ink), ink (Old Olive & Chocolate Chip – Stampin’ Up!), polka dot paper (AMuse Studio), twine, rhinestones.
The CCC team have created some super fun cards with their really old and rarely used stamps! Stop by and check them all out…and link up your own creation for this challenge at the Christmas Card Challenges blog!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs,

Christmas Card Challenges #23

Happy Sunday! I’m so glad you stopped by! Today, I’m joining the Christmas Card Challenges team as their Guest Designer for May!

This week’s challenge is to create a humorous card, so here’s what I made:

Supplies: card base, cardstock (Stampin’ UP!, PaperTrey Ink – kraft), patterned paper (Basic Grey – Nordic Holiday), stamps (Memory Box – “Puffy Sheep”, “Fleece Navidad”), ink (VersaMark watermark, Brilliance Graphite Black), opaque white marker, Copic markers (R27, N6), Liquid Applique, white embossing powder, red grosgrain ribbon, mini brads, ticket corner punch.

I love these stamps! I bought them just after Christmas, and only used them one other time. Hope they made you smile!

If you’d like to join in on the fun at Christmas Card Challenges, the only real rule is that you must create a new Christmas, Holiday, Winter or Hanukkah card. Also, it’s not necessary to use a Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamp on your card, but you’re more than welcome to use one if you’d like!

It’s easy to play along with us! Just link up your entry at the Christmas Card Challenges blog (make sure to link directly to the blog post that shows your card)!

If you upload to an online gallery, please use the tag SCCC23 so we can all enjoy your cards! Any additional details for this challenge (and the rest of the Design Team’s fantastic creations) can be found at the Christmas Card Challenges blog!
