Christmas Card Challenges Week 23 – Shaped Cards

Happy Sunday! I’m popping in to share a card for this week’s Christmas Card Challenge!

Our theme for this week is shaped cards, so I came up with this snow globe card:

Don’t forget, all of our challenges are optional…the only “real” rule is that you must create a new Christmas, Holiday or Hannukah card, then link it up on our blog so we can stop by and say hi!

It’s not necessary that you use a Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamp on your card, but we sure love it when you do!

Don’t forget to visit the rest of the CCC team to take a peek at the fun and festive cards they’ve created this week: AlannaCorinneJennifer, JovitaKarenKatieLeesaLorieMargoMichelePat…and our guest designer for May, Kay!

Christmas Card Challenges: Week 22

Happy Sunday! I’ve been slacking a bit on the Christmas Card Challenges lately…

I worked so far ahead before we moved that I lost track of where I was in the challenge list…here’s hoping this week marks the return of my regular posting routine!

This week’s Christmas Card Challenge is a sketch, and here’s my take:
Image stamps: (“Winter Fox”, “Winter Bunny”, “Winter Owl” – Lawn Fawn), sentiment stamps (“Signature Christmas” – Papertrey Ink), paper (“Christmas Wish” – My Mind’s Eye), snowflake accent (Imaginisce), various Copic markers, white marker, ink (Memento Grey Flannel).
and here’s the sketch!

CCC: Things With Wings

Hi everybody! I’m running a bit behind in posting my card for this week’s Christmas Card Challenge…our theme this week is “things with wings.” Here’s my take:

Supplies: patterned paper (“Nordic Holiday ” mini pad – Basic Grey), image stamps (“Nordic Noel” – aMuse Studio), sentiment stamp (“Christmas Sampler “- Paper Smooches), watermark ink, white embossing powder, kraft cardstock.
I find it much easier to do a Clean & Simple card when it’s not the designated theme. It must be all that pressure to make one that makes it much harder!

And it’s a prize week, so one randomly selected entry will receive a Sparkle Creations rubber stamp!

Don’t forget to visit the rest of the CCC team to take a peek at the fun and festive cards they’ve created this week: AlannaCorinneJennifer, JovitaKarenKatieLeesaLorieMargoMichelePat…and our guest designer for April, Kylie!

Christmas Card Challenges: Vintage

Is it Spring yet where you are? Yesterday was a BEAUTIFUL day here in Virginia…I really hope it’s here to stay!

For this week’s Christmas Card Challenge,  we’re making a “vintage” card, so here’s what I came up with:
Supplies: patterned paper (Authentique), metal die (Spellbinders Labels 25), sentiment stamp (aMuse Studio), watermark ink, white embossing powder, seam binding ribbon, lace trim.

Christmas Card Challenges: CAS

Happy Sunday, everybody! It’s time for a new Christmas Card Challenge, and I have to tell you, this style is always a tough one for me…Clean and Simple (CAS)!

I admire those who excel at CAS cards! Every time I try to make one, I keep thinking it’s missing something. Less is supposed to be more when it comes to CAS, right? Anyway, here’s my attempt at a CAS Christmas card:

Supplies: patterned paper [“Very Merry Christmas” mini pad – Echo park; “Wonderland” mini pad – Studio Calico  (red pattern)], sentiment stamp, tag die, tag stamp (“Fillable Frames 9” – PaperTrey Ink), tree stamp (My Mind’s Eye), twine (“Holly” – Trendy Twine/Annie’s Paper Boutique), ink (“Olive Grove” Memento – Tsukineko; VersaMark), white embossing powder, kraft cardstock.
Remember, all of our challenges are optional…the only “real” rule is that you must create a new Christmas, Holiday or Hannukah card, then link it up on our blog so we can stop by and say hi!

It’s not necessary that you use a Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamp on your card, but we sure love it when you do!

Happy Sunday, everybody! I’m stopping by to share my card for Christmas Card Challenges!
This week, we have a sweet photo to inspire you! Here’s my card:

And here’s the inspiration photo! I chose the colors and picked a gingerbread image to represent the sweets.

CCC #15: Sketch Challenge

Happy Sunday, everybody! Hope you’re having a great weekend! We’ve had some gorgeous weather this weekend…it’s a nice change from the chilly kind we’ve had lately!

Scott & I are meeting some friends of mine for brunch today…I’m so excited! I haven’t seen them in about 10 years, so it is way past time for us to catch up!

For this week’s Christmas Card Challenge, I chose “Autumn Rin” by Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps!

With just a little washi tape, I was able to mask out the leaves in the background and the ones at the bottom of her kimono. The present is from the stack that “Birthday Josh” is holding. I just had to connect the line at the bottom of her kimono, color and cut out the present, and adhere it to the image.

I think the hardest part of masking an image is remembering to take the masking tape off before you stamp the image…I can’t tell you how many times I’ve almost forgotten!

Other supplies: Copic markers, card stock (Stampin’ UP), snowflake accent (Imaginisce), sentiment stamp (Poppy Stamps), patterned paper (Echo Park), VersaMark watermark ink, white embossing powder, foam tape, sewing machine, opaque white marker, gold gel ink pen.

Here’s our challenge sketch!

Remember, all of our challenges are optional…the only “real” rule is that you must create a new Christmas, Holiday or Hannukah card, then link it up on our blog so we can stop by and say hi!

CCC #14 – Anything Goes!

Happy Sunday, everybody! It’s time for a new Christmas Card Challenge, and it’s easy to join in on the fun because this week, “anything goes”!

And, because it’s the first challenge of the month, we’re offering a Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamp prize to one lucky entrant!

Here’s my card! I used an image stamp from The Greeting Farm’s “I Heart Sweaters” set, and papers from Basic Grey’s Eskimo Kisses line. The foil snowflake scrap is from SEI’s Berry Melody mini pad. I think the olive and aqua papers are from My Mind’s Eye.

Remember, all of our challenges are optional…the only “real” rule is that you must create a new Christmas, Holiday or Hannukah card, then link it up on our blog so we can stop by and say hi!

Christmas Card Challenges: Santa Baby!

Happy Sunday! It’s time for a new Christmas Card Challenge, and this week we’re inspired by that jolly old elf, Santa Claus!

I combined some cute stamps from Your Next Stamp (from the “Holiday Snow Globe Set“) with a sentiment stamp from aMuse Studio (“Mini Holiday Messages” set) and some papers from Basic Grey’s “Eskimo Kisses” collection to create my card:
