MFT October Guest Designer Contest

Hello crafty friends! I’m back to share my card for My Favorite Things’ October Guest Designer Contest!
I used a sweet Pure Innocence stamp and matching sentiment from the “Hello Cupcake” set. The image is colored with Copic markers. I added a pattern to her dress with a white opaque marker.
I would have liked to have the Rounded Banner Die-Namics to create the shape that the main image is stamped on, but I tried my best to get it right with the supplies I had on hand!
Other supplies: patterned paper (Cosmo Cricket Early Bird, Echo Park Dots & Stripes), brads, sewing machine, card stock.
I’ve never had a giant cupcake like that one, but it looks tasty! It’s been a while since I baked up something yummy…I made pumpkin bread last week and I was lucky to get a piece or two before my husband finished off the rest!
Here’s the sketch that inspired my card:

Happy Saturday! It’s time for a new challenge at Drunken Stampers! Thanks to everyone who joined us last time! We always love checking out your creations! This time, we’d like for you to use triangles in your entry!

Here’s my card:

Supplies: patterned paper (Kioshi & Konnichiwa – Basic Grey), cardstock (Stampin’ UP!), image stamp (Kiyomi  – Sister Stamps), sentiment stamp (Amy R Stamps – Magical Wishes Sentiments), grass punch (Fiskars), acetate, foam squares, Copic markers (skin – E00, E01, E53, R02; hair – 110, C4; clothes – BV00, BV02, RV63, RV66; butterfly – YR02, YR15, Y15, Y00, YR00; other – C0, C1).

DeNami Designs Pretty Pastels Blog Hop!

Thanks for stopping by to check out what I’ve created! This month’s theme is:

While my card may not be flower-inspired, it definitely incorporates pastel colors! I created a fun underwater scene with some of my favorite DeNami stamps:
DeNami supplies: sentiment stamp (Happy Birthday Script), image stamps (Crab, Sea Friends Stamp Set), twine  (Pastel Twine 3-pack). Other supplies: polka dot paper, green card stock, kraft card stock, Stickles glitter glue, Copic markers, brown/suede ink, card base, corner rounder.
Don’t forget to leave some sweet comments for each of the blog hop participants, because DeNami’s awarding $20 gift certificates to TWO lucky commenters!
Your next stop is Carol’s blog…I’m sure she’s created something fantastic for you to see! If you get lost along the way, you can always go back to the DeNami Design blog for the full list of participants!
Thanks again for stopping by! I hope you enjoy the rest of today’s hop!

DeNami Birthday Blog Hop!

Happy Sunday! Hope you’re enjoying your journey through all of the festive creations on DeNami Design’s Birthday Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from Rae Ann‘s blog, but if you lost your way somehow, you can always click back to the DeNami blog for the full list of participants!

My card is made with stamps that maybe aren’t considered “birthday” themed, but they make a cute scene for a birthday card when they’re all together! I like finding new ways of using the stamps that I have for different types of cards and projects! It helps me to keep thinking creatively, too!

Supplies: DeNami sentiment stamp (Happy Birthday Script – Cling), DeNami image stamps (Doghouse, Doggie Bone,  Paw Print, Cuddly Pals set – dog, Mini Heart), kraft cardstock, white cardstock, light brown ink (you can also use watermark ink), Tsukineko Brilliance black ink, twine, brads, Copic markers.
To layer the images in the scene, I stamped the dog on a piece of white card stock, and one of the hearts. Then I stamped the dog and two hearts on the sticky part of a Post-It note. Then I cut out the images and layered them over the images I stamped on the white card stock.
With the masks in place, I stamped the doghouse so that when the masks are removed, the doghouse appears to be behind the dog and the balloons. (If you get a little nervous about layering the balloons, another option would be to stamp them, cut them out and layer them in a group.)
I stamped the bone separately, intending to use it as an accent, but decided it would work popped up slightly on the scene. I drew in the balloon strings and colored the image.
Hope I’ve inspired you to create something new! Don’t forget to leave comments on all of the participants’ blogs for a chance to win ONE of TWO $20 gift certificates to DeNami Design’s web store! You have until March 12, 2012 at 11:59 pm Pacific Time to leave your comments!

Your next stop on the hop is Paulina’s blog! I know she’s created something fabulous to show you! If you need to get back on track, visit the DeNami blog for a list of all of the hop participants! And be sure to leave each one some love to let them know how much you’ve enjoyed the hop!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Wednesday and welcome back for another Flutter By Wednesday challenge! This week, we’re sponsored by Rhoda Design Studio! This week’s challenge is open, so anything goes, as long as you’ve included your butterfly, fairy or angel!

I used one of the super cute digis (Cupcake For You) that Rhoda Design Studio sent for the Flutter By Team to play with!

Supplies: card base, cardstock (Stampin’ Up!), digital image (Rhoda Design Studio), stamped sentiment, Spellbinders Scalloped Circle Die, ribbon (Stampin’ Up!), butterfly rub-ons (Doodlebug Designs), patterned paper (My Mind’s Eye – Love Me 6×6 paper pad), Copic markers, silver gel pen.

It’s my last day at CHA today…so glad that I made the trip! It has been a lot of work, several long days, but the best part is that I made many new friends (also met some friends in person for the first time) and had a blast! Also, getting to see peeks of upcoming products is extremely cool, too! It was my first CHA trip, and I’m already looking forward to next year!

Don’t forget to visit the rest of the Flutter By Wednesday Design Team: DanniAnna,AmandaHarrietKarenKristieLeanneLynetteMaryMichelle VPMichelle, and Nancy! AND, don’t forget to include your fairy, butterfly or angel on your entry!

Flutter By Wednesday #187

Happy Wednesday and welcome back for another Flutter By Wednesday challenge! Thanks to everybody who played along with us last week…your creations were fantastic!

If you weren’t able to join us last week, I hope you’ll play along with us this week! Our challenge for this week is embossing (any type). Don’t forget your fairy, butterfly or angel on your entry!

My card for this week features an adorable digi (Party Pinkette August) from Tickled Pink Stamps!

I made this card for my niece, Olivia, who recently celebrated her 8th birthday! I used both dry embossing (the pink cardstock mat around the stamp) and heat embossing (for the sentiment). Olivia loved that I made the girl on the card look like her!

Supplies: image (Tickled Pink Stamps), felt butterfly accent (SEI), patterned paper (Basic Grey – Sweet Threads), sentiment stamp (Paper Smooches), ribbon, glitter brads, cardstock (Stampin’ UP!), embossing powder, watermark ink, Copic markers, card base, opaque white and silver glitter pens.

Don’t forget to visit the rest of the Flutter By Wednesday Design Team: Danni, Anna, Amanda, Harriet, Karen, Kristie, Leanne, Lynette, Mary, Michelle VP, Michelle, and Nancy!

There’s no sponsor for this week’s challenge, so you can enter more than once if you’d like! Just remember to use any type of embossing, and include your fairy, butterfly or angel on your entry!

I’m traveling to CHA this weekend, but I’ll be checking back to see what you’ve created for this week’s challenge! Link up at the Flutter By Wednesday blog! Thanks for stopping by and see you there!
