Lawnscaping Challenge #105

Hi, everybody! It’s time for a new Lawnscaping challenge (#105)! Watercolors are our theme for this one. I’ll admit, I am not a very talented watercolor artist, so I kept things clean and simple again with my challenge card.

I stamped the kitty on watercolor paper and once the ink dried, I colored in the details with my watercolors. I made a simple background by painting on watercolor paper and stamping the sentiment when the paint dried.

I edged the main panel with a gold paint marker, then added solid red twine and an Asian coin charm to the card front. I’ve had a few of the coin charms for years, and I think it was a great choice as an accent on this card.

Lawnscaping Challenge #105 is sponsored by Ellen Hutson! One lucky winner will receive a gift certificate to the Ellen Hutson store!

Say Konnichiwa to Geisha Kaylee!

Konnichiwa! I’m so excited to share my card for the newest clear release at Some Odd Girl!
Here’s “Geisha Kaylee“…isn’t she gorgeous?
I think it’s cool to add patterns to clothing. For Kaylee, I added little clusters of three dots to her kimono and little clusters of four dots on her fan to make them look like cherry blossoms.
As you can see, there are TONS of design possibilities with this set! I used all of the stamps in the set (except for the other sentiment) on my card, and it was a blast to color Kaylee, although I’d love to work more on shading the pleats in her kimono.
We’ve got more ODD fabulosity for you this week…did you SEE the new stamps in the SOG store?!?!?
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you have a FAN-tastic week!
Hugs,
