Lawnscaping Challenge #126

Hi, everybody! It’s time for a new Lawnscaping challenge, and we sure have a “sweet” one lined up for you today!

I don’t have as much time to craft as I used to now that I’m in school, so I tend to either color things in bunches or make simpler cards. I have one more month left in this semester, and it looks like I’ll get the summer off, so I’ll have lots of time over the summer break to relax and get re-organized!

I came up with the idea for this card on the way home from the grocery store. I recently bought Lawn Fawn‘s new “Lovable Legends” set and must have had cookies on my mind…

I made an ocean of milk instead of water for the kraken to enjoy his cookies, which are from the “Milk and Cookies” set. The sentiment is from the “Treat Yourself” set.  (The waves are also from the Lovable Legends set.)

Lawnscaping Challenge #126 is sponsored by Lawn Fawn! One lucky winner will receive a stamp set of their choice from the Lawn Fawn store!

Lawnscaping Challenge 125

Hi, everybody! It’s time for a new Lawnscaping challenge, and our theme for this one (#125) is “Color Splash” or, Black & White with a splash of color! I was inspired by the Academy Awards, and came up with a black/white/gold card:

I made a star accent with the starfish from Lawn Fawn‘s “So Jelly” set. I used the fire hydrant from the “Critters at the Dog Park” set and trimmed the top and sides off to create a column for the star to stand on. The sentiment I used is also from the “So Jelly” set. I added my splashes of color with gold glitter paper and heat embossing gold powder.

One lucky person who plays along with us in this challenge will win a $25 gift certificate provided by our sponsor, Ellen Hutson!  The deadline for this challenge is Wednesday, March 16, so make sure you link your entry at the Lawnscaping blog!
